Lionfish hole found and wiped out!

It’s getting more and more rare to find spots that have multiple Lionfish but we found one on this dive! Give us a follow and watch us eliminate these Lionfish from Florida Waters, where they are an invasive species!

They are under Blue Heron Bridge, I am calling tomorrow to ask about laws as it's no spearing area. Any input is more than appreciated I am more than happy to remove them if I can. Already have a spear on the way however I can not even think of grabbing them without a catcher or something to put them in. They are pricey so I may have to go a PVC route. Again, all input from all about all is always more than appreciated 🕊️

Great job you're doing helping to protect all the cute native fish. They shouldn't be kicked out of their homes by these invasive lionfish.

I love seeing the turtles, the Hawksbill turtle, in this case and all the differing types of fish, but I most especially love seeing all the little minnows swimming free from lionfish harm. 💚💚

I am from Lebanon and the fish is also invading the countries cost I wish I could learn how to dive and bring some tasty dinner home of lion fish

I think they have some good dive instruction over there. You should be able to get certified and become a diver. It is kind of expensive so I understand. But you could do what I am doing and post videos eventually and maybe even start a nonprofit like I did and help yourself get a little bit of donation money to fund your diving.

So the lionfish population is controlled in your area? Is this typical of the entire region or just your area since you have been clearing them for years?

It’s a constant thing we have to do all around the state. There are thousands of people doing this and the more people do it the better it helps everyone else as well because the eggs are spread so if you do a great job on the reef, the other reefs will also be helped. And Lionfish move around a lot as well so they will eventually move from other areas of the state and come into our grasp. it is a never-ending task, but thankfully, we can collect these fish for food instead of other fish which keeps their numbers down

Hey there, I make the videos for Instagram and TikTok, which looks better with the other orientation and then I just put them on here as well. I have recently decided to start making ones that fit you too better at the same time so we will see how that goes.
