  • Let's compare the Philippines with Thailand, and specifically Bangkok with Manila. Where is the best place to live? I'll cover the differences and give you my opinion on where is best to live.

I have never been to the Philippines but I have been in the healthcare field for 39 years and have worked with many Filipinos and Filipinas. Just came back from 2 weeks in Thailand and will be headed back there for retirement as soon as possible.
A lot of your comments about the differences between the two countries seems spot on to me.
Personally I think they have beautiful women in both countries. For me the main difference is that the Philippines is a Catholic country and Thailand is Buddhist. Of course there's plenty of Buddhists in the Philippines and Catholics in Thailand, but the society as a whole I'm speaking of.
I much prefer the Buddhist society.
Be careful with those Thai massages. They can bruise and batter you. But the pain is so good... Thailand for me hands down.

You can buy cheap beer at Makro, Big C, Lotus and Go, or at 7-Eleven.
Most Thai restaurants prepare fresh food. And the raw materials are enough to sell or cook on that day. They are not very popular for selling or cooking on the following day and are often discarded because they may cause the customer to have diarrhea. including fresh food ingredients in the local market Or in most department stores, they usually sell on a day-to-day basis, except for fruits. 😊

Great video JJ, I purchased a 5 year elite visa for Thailand so I will probably spend most of my time there to get the value of the cost of it. It was 19,000.00 US dollars. But I do want to spend some time in BGC because I find it very modern and I like a lot of the restaurants and the city being very walkable is really nice. I am a few months away from going there and I can’t wait. Your videos are always great and always full of information. Keep up the good work.

I had studied for seven years in my high school and college years in Bangkok. Great friends; delicious food; and very rich culture. (But now happily living in Sibulan, Negros Oriental, the Philippines, heheh!) 😊 ... But, let's just get down to the BOTTOMLINE of it all: the economy. All that economy stuff is a result of corruption (though Thailand has that, too ... but, at least the Thai government in the 80s still decided to improve on infrastructure, while the Philippine government didn’t much, yet), the influence of Roman Catholicism (the poverty in Manila is just so much more visible on the streets than in Bangkok; in the 80s, Thailand had its "Mr. Condom" man, because he knew overpopulation was not good to developing the macroeconomy, especially resource-distribution wise; though, now in the Philippines, after the signing of the Reproduction Law in 2012, the population growth rate is FINALLY slowing down), and the Philippine constitution that prevents foreigners from a more investor-friendly environment (though, now, the government is discussing with law legislators, to change the economic provision stipulations). But, oh yeah: I would expect that if foreign expats had to choose between the two ... with the overall congestion and state of infrastructure in the Philippines, Thailand would be the better choice.

    Hi.
I haven't been to the Philippines yet but have been travelling to Thailand since 2007.
Gotta say i love Bangkok but also love the fact i can jump in a nice aircon taxi and be in Pattaya in 2 hours.
I usually sleep in the cab😁
These days i tend to spend most of my time in Thailand staying in jomtien as it's just outside the mad house that's Pattaya but close enough to pop over there when i feel like it.
Massage I love so yes every day in Thailand.
Personally I'm not looking for a partner so i prefer the simple transactional dating in Thailand.
Thailovelinks or Thai friendly great for getting some company whether its some one for dinner date or room recreation.🙂
