    Thanks for sharing a link to my video. The rock hall event was a phenomenal time to be in the room. After having watched the Plant appearance on the livestream, these are indeed strange days.

      @@zeppearl we knew he was in the house. The day before, we were killing time wandering outside the venue, as it was only our second time at Barclays, and the last was over four years ago. There were more Black Escalades along Atlantic Avenue than a well-stocked Caddy dealer, so it was clear a full rehearsal of some kind was going on. We decided to hang out for a while, which ended up being about a half hour. We watched some cars come and go, but didn’t recognize anybody that was on the list for the event. We were hoping to see an inductee, or presenter. Then an older gentleman came over to us wearing credentials and asked us not to take pictures. He went back to the SUV that had just pulled up, and Page stepped out. Unreal. Had the whole scenario pegged quickly.

    Hey Vance! Thank so much for the great shoutout! It was a pleasure listening to your reaction to these HISTORIC events. We could do a Zoom call with Michael about these news and hop on the speculation train. We all Zeppelin fans have a right to be excited, i mean COME ON! Funny how Page at 14 was inspired by Link Wray like probably my generation was with Page himself. Great news in these troubled times we live in. We gotta be strong, music is the only power that brings the world closer to peace! WE NEED JONES TO DO CAROUSELAMBRA!!!

    Great Zeppelin update! Dug the shoutouts! Rob Paneeks is a top cat for sure!
    Very cool Page inducted Link! Must be weird for Jimmy to get in the HOF before one of his musical heroes and true originators of RnR and heavy metal.
    Gonna go check out the footage now! Thanks!
    Cheers!!!

      @bipbopboom 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Addendum: just check out the HOF. It was excellent! Tear in my eye stuff! Page sounded great on the 12 string! I think it was the right move! An iconic player playing his guitar on an iconic tune! His little speech was perfect! I love when people truly understand Rock’n’Roll!
      Cheers!!

      @@bipbopboom Jon I had a hunch that you would be proud of the performance and Page intro. I have Disney+ and have watched it a few times. Plus the fan shot link I put in the description was cool to watch as they prepped. I learned that Anton Fig was on drums bassist still unknown right now. I agree it was the right choice to go with the double neck Gibson. It was great to see him play again and a very classy induction for Link Wray long over due even though the RnRHOF is a love/hate thing. But they finally got this right. thanks for watching !!!!!

    Hey there, to all of the hysteria that Plant’s performance incurred, are you freakin kidding me? Yeah, so RP wasn’t belting out ‘Stairway’. How about subdued? It was a subdued rendition. The way I see it, that man possesses more talent and class in his pinky finger than most do in their…whatever! Seeing Zeppelin play live back in the day was my first live concert arena experience. Each time that I experienced their live performances was for , no other way to put it, a religious experience. Thank you for all that you do in producing these videos!

      @zeppearl  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree with what you said he can do whatever he wants and owes nothing to nobody. To have seen Led Zeppelin in the 70s for me would of been a truly spiritual experience for sure so I envy that you did. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts !!

    This was awesome brother! I saw both and couldn't agree more Vance! Both are amazing and I can't imagine criticism...wait, yeah I can. To each their own. But wow! Even back in 02 the band made adjustments to accommodate the aging pipes of Plant. It's just not possible for most singers to reach those same octaves beyond 40 or 50 years old...unless your name is Halford! He's a freak though lol! That Popoffs "All The Albums All The Songs" book is excellent imho. He did an amazing trilogy of Rush through the years and I really enjoyed his Iron Maiden novel as well. I think you will dig that. Fantastic live in Canada lp. Never heard of that. Will definitely be hunting for it. Terrific video my friend. Cheers bud! ✌️🍻🤘🎶🤘

    So much happening in the Zeppelin world; really interested in seeing the documentary you mentioned. I saw Robert Plant solo 3 times. And then twice w/ Page & Plant. He’s always a great performer. I admire his talent and his willingness to look forward. Always focusing on a future project and occasionally giving fans what we want too. A truly creative musician. Also interested in watch the Page Link-ray video. Hope that makes it onto TH-cam soon. Love your updates and videos. Thanks. Shawn.

      Hey Shawn, Yes still a buzz in the Zeppelin Hanger. I really hope this documentary comes out officially they said they were re-editing it so I hope soon. I am glad to read that you get it about Plant. Yes he has been moving forward with every project but yet does give us treats of the past. Jimmy Page Link Wray induction was perfect excellent intro and he just looked so happy playing it. Plus the crowd response at the end was great. Thanks for watching !!!! -V

    Don't get me wrong, I love XRT, but in my opinion, it's been going down hill the past few years. I mean, I remember back in the late 00s and most of the 2010s it was literally a haven for indie bands. It felt like a station with endless variety where you could discover something new every day. However, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. It seems like it's turning more into The Drive where it plays the same standards everyday with only a few new things here and there. It certainly has changed. Then with the death of Lin Brehmer, I feel like that was when things totally changed. It just isn't the same. To the point that I took it off my presets. Again, I still have love for it and listen every now and again, but it is far from the music mecca it used to be. I find myself listening more to 95.5, Q101, and 89.1 WONC at this point. To be honest though, it seems like radio as a whole is going downhill. But that's what happens when we sell our musical souls to Spotify. Streaming killed the radio star.

    • @zeppearl
      @zeppearl  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      MysticWolf I totally understand what you are saying here. In fact I will say radio in general and in Chicago has been stale. Trust me I love radio and still listen as a main source of music out side of records & CDs. Once XRT was brought into CBS years ago and now Audacy the vibe changed a little and become more corporate. Over the years more and more changes. With Lin gone now and probably Terri retiring for good soon it will change even more to compete with the Drive. XRT is still my top preset along with the Drive as that is what I like. But on a good day if I can get WILL Rock 95.1 out of Kenosha or Rebel Radio in I would listen to them more. Rock 95.5 had so much potential when they launched but for me I can't connect with the morning show its like all the other iHeart stations. I don't want to bash it it works for them its just not my go to I guess. I use to live closer to WONC-FM to pick them up and they would be a top choice to listen to great college station. Radio needs to get fresh and get back to breaking new music but its become about the cash not the music these days. Thanks for watching !!!
