The guardsmen are the first and final line of defence when a custodes falls they are there to take on the vast tyranid hordes, when a 100 of the imperiums finest fall the guardsmen will stand against the forces of chaos and when there is but 20 guardsmen they shall make the orks feel as though they are fighting 2million,from krieg to cadia they will defend as the last bastion of man taking on the cruel horrors of this universe.
i would like to see them with just something like a power armor or exo-esqueleton just to give that little boost but i bet the war would chance they have no fear while they are simple humans and they hold none the less imagine if they got a upgrade
