I also just bought an 03 r1 as a project. Shes a little banged up, but she runs good. All she really needs is some fairings, the wiring on the headlights fixed, an oil change, & a new air filter
I plan to use it as a daily for a while to get better at riding before upgrading to something like an s1000, but I'll still keep her once I do upgrade. I already fell in love with it 😅
@@ctadrenaline yessir. I've ridden before, but it's my first actual bike. I've been taking it slow around the neighborhood so that I can get used to it while working on it before just taking it out on the road. I'm being super careful with it knowing the power it has
@@ItsBenefiz ok great. If you don’t respect the bike it can put you on the ground before you know it so definitely take your time. I’ve known too many people that got hurt or are not here anymore because of that. Ride safe man
@ctadrenaline my reasoning behind it was that normal 300s just aren't enough for how people drive around here, I know I'll get used to a 600 fairly quickly & be more reckless with it, but with a 1000, I'll be more cautious knowing that any wrong move could be catastrophic at my skill level. It keeps me more conscious of my decisions & more humble on how I go about it
@@JordanR-o2d if you look by the right side foot rest it’s by the rear shock. Assuming you have stock headers. The exup motor is black. This video I made shows exactly where it is. m.th-cam.com/video/7hUGQZ0WWzI/w-d-xo.html
Not to my knowledge. I believe it was only the graves that had the issue but of course the only way to know would be to plug it in and let the bike run for over 120 seconds and see if the light turns off
Very helpful thank you.
@@OGPUMPKIN5 no prob thanks for watching! Got part 7 coming out probably tomorrow. You got a few more episodes to catch up on 👍🏻👌🏻
I gotta start on my 98 zx 9 rebuild started i love that bike
Yea man definitely start on it. No better time then now

@@ItsBenefiz is the r1 your first bike? If so please be careful! The r1 will kill you if your not careful

@@ctadrenaline thank you; will be my weekend project to add the midpipe to complete my full system!
@JordanR-o2d awesome! The video will be helpful. Thanks for viewing!
@@ctadrenaline are you on Instagram?
Or you can just leave it on for 120 sec without the engine running. Code 18
I have a Kurt servo buddy do you know if they have the same problem?
