    Thank Gijs for this good review. I have no experience with these Lundhags authentic pants. Fortunately you do have a good experience with your Lundhags pants. With its more expensive brother, the makke pants. I have a bad experience . My first makke pants broke in the first week, my vizsla pup with his sharp nails destroys it last year. All small holes and a few big ones. Bought a second one now because I like the model so much, but again I have a small damage, no matter how careful I am. The fabric on the upper legs is quite thin, compared to the fjallraven keb pants, the keb is much thicker. maybe i need to test the authentic pants.

      Hi Raymond, Thanks for the feedback. No, all my Lundhags pants and short are in one piece without holes. The only thing I can come up with is that the newer material is not as strong as on the one I have because they are largely made of the same LPC. I have a FR Keb jacket and yes I love that one too. Nice material and again for me super fit. The counterpart from Lundhags.... that does not fit me that well. So I like to wear this combination of Lundhags and FR. Keep me posted on further developments! I just sit and wait for a new material Authentic. 😄 Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs

    Thank you for a great review! It motivated me to buy a pair of these pants and successfully use them on a long hike through Lomsdal-Visten, Norway. I was not disappointed, although I wish the knees parts were waterproof. And the butt part, too. Anyway :) Small hint: the compartment in the right pocket is possibly not for a cell phone but for a compass - because it fits perfectly. A map in the left, a compass in the right pocket.

      Hi Vladislav, Thank you for the nice comment and I think you could be right. I have a compass on the smartphone too 😉. But I tried and a Silva compass fits perfect indeed. Enjoy your pants for years to come and Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs

    Hey Gijs, really enjoying your insight to gear! May I ask what is the dark green jacket shown in the cover? I saw what looked like a couple Fjallraven pieces in the video but couldn’t get a good look at this one. Thank you!

      Awesome! Thank you! I had looked at Sasta briefly, but they are harder to get in Canada without a duty/ import fee :(
      Your reviews aren’t great!

    I never saw a review about a pant, never thought about doing so either. But.. It was great fun, had to laugh several times! :-) But! A great review Gijs! Want to have one too, once, because of you.
    Greetings, Onno.
    ....And why shouldn't be there more pant reviews!? :-)

    Gijs, about the DWR, why not using Nikwax Cotton Proof or Fjallraven Greenland wax for upgrading/ maintaining it?

    • @OutdoorguruGearReviews
      @OutdoorguruGearReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Rene, well... because I don't think the pant and I need it. I like the breathabilty as is and that it gets wettish and sometimes wet.... I am not bothered since it dries fast. Both methods btw are effective ways to redo the DWR. I don't love the Greenland wax method and I do like the Nikwax since I use it on a jacket... With Greenland I feel I limit the breathability because there is a careful balans between enough and too much. Does this answer your question? 😄 Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs

    I have this pants, like it a lot- always felt that when you have stretchy fabrics on the knees and seat, these areas seems a little exposed, and get cold in windy conditions, but they offer a lot freedom of movement. You take some and give some I guess:)

      Hi Kevin, You did respond to my last email 🙃... and I forgot to send you a reminder. FR pants are fine but the one I have is just not as good as this one. I like the trekking leggings though. Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs

    Hello. Can you please tell me if these pants are the same size as other manufacturers? In your specific case. They have XL on the site that it is 56. And all over the world XL is 54. Do your Lundhags pants fit in letters or numbers?

    • @OutdoorguruGearReviews
      @OutdoorguruGearReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, That is a bit the risk of buying online. Mine are 38 and that is the same as my other pants. Did you contact Lundhags about this? This might help: www.lundhags.com/en/journal/size-guides/mens-pants-sizeguide/ Cheers, Gijs

    These pants are well built and long lasting but, the thing that bothers me with them is that they are neither summer or shoulder season pants. Too heavy for summer , too breathable during colder season,especially on the bottom ... Good pants overall

    The Straps for Hip-adjustments on the mark2, shouldnt bother from my experience.
    I have a Lundhags Baalka, which shares this adjustment.
    Even wearing a backpack didn't give me pressure-points underneath the hipbelts
