Maybe someone else was living there after her death, like a homeless squatter, who collected the cans and cig packs. It seems out of character for the women...

@@BrosOfDecay I agree, though it doesn't look like that woman's signature...she lived a very traditional life, judging by all her furnishings, then you see these modern cans and cig containers all strewn together...it doesn't make sense, but who knows, right? Just wondering...Happy New Year!🥳

Wow..what an awesome, amazing place. Such beautiful old furniture in there, especially the bed frame. Wish the bed & sewing machine could be 'rescued' before it's to late & the house falls in & it all just rots away. Also the beautiful carved cabinets.
The cigarette boxes on the wall : reminded me of our son, as a teenager, in high school he filled the walls of his room with food boxes, cereal, mac & cheese, ect..& also ads/ pictures from magazines. We allowed it because he was a good son, never caused us any serious grief, trouble. I just shut his door if I didn't want anyone seeing it. After he graduated school his father & I took it all down & redone it into a nice guest room.
Thanks for sharing your videos with us. As always, I love how respectful you boys are. Be careful in your travels.

Different spin- when we bought our house, the widow had moved to a different state, her nephew was living in and taking care of the house. So, there were remnants of her things and stranger things that were his. This looks like a similar situation. You can tell that many things were hers, but the Red Bull & Coke cans (and ad wall) belonged to someone taking care of her and/or the house at the end.

I got the impression the last occupant perhaps was an artist who used different everyday items to make statement pieces. Many items with English labels. The music piece looks like an old school synthesizer with a turntable. The painted ceramic figures didn't look like Kiss members, tho. Great find! Love that bed frame! Best wishes for a happy holiday season!

I worked at a house where the owner collected so much, it was difficult to walk across any room.
The builder had already filled three skips up.
He never bough one of anything, There were plastic storage boxes filled with things he had bough.
In the children's rooms there were expensive trainers all over the place, which had never been worn.
He was a doctor working at a hospital for those with mental illnesses !!!.

I doubt that she did that at all. A lady of her taste in the rest of the house would not put that kind of stuff up or support at that time. Nor, would she put holes in her walls and then use the cigarette packs to hide them with. Would a lady with shoes like she had do that kind of thing. I think not. Wow, Leslie..this is really weird. It almost makes no sense why an elderly couple with a beautiful old Victorian house like this would collect & paste cigarette boxes to the wall & make weird sculptures out of coke/redbull cans. The magazines were off too. I can gaurantee you, no elderly person will read " Hot Rod" magazines about cars. Those rock looking statues were weird too. I think the truth of how this all got there is someone has been "living' there in the years since it was abandoned. They drank the pop/redbull..and glued the cans together for some strange reason. Those things did NOT belong to the couple. Merry Christmas & Happiest of New Years to you, Jordy & your family from me & mine in Canada. 🎄🇨🇦🎅

We have a double sink in the kitchen but it’s aluminum and all one piece just split into two. Please pack up the carpet cabinet and the chairs and send them on over☺️😆. They are beautiful.
Upstairs: the bed is lovely. The collections… Good grief I thought I smoked a lot! Or at least used to. Have cut down a lot. Like the advertising, but prefer old ones. I don’t know if this person was a collector or just nuts. Cigarette packs? Red Bull? Coke?.

Big assumption that it was Claire who was the collector. There was a man’s shoe in that pile on the floor and it looked like the other shoe was under the pile sticking out.
    Nice find.👍

Gorgeous antiques and I must say she had a variety of interests and collectibles. I surely cannot fault her for that. But, I must admit.....what kind of glue did she use to stick all of those Coke cans together? Plus, they're stuck together like she did this task yesterday. LOL Assembler, Cobol, and Fortran have been alive and well for 50 plus years. Love your enthusium as you made your way throughout the house and presenting to us the life of a lady who seemed to be quite interesting!!!

People miss the point . . it may look sad now her 'space' , but everyone eventual dies & these spaces are where we live our lives . . better than living & dying in a cardboard box under a bridge somewhere , so what if no one comes around to collect their stuff . . the past owner is past caring & has lived their life as they saw fit
