You always have to stop at Wall Drug on the way to the Badlands, certainly a unique place. Badlands is amazing, I need to boondock there in the future, another superb video!
Thanks @touringandtrails I totally had no idea what to expect! Lol!!! Had a blast though. Badlands was incredible. We so wanted to stay longer. The wind had other ideas, though!
I love Badlands, camped at the same spot last year but the wind was insane. You can't beat that free camping spot with beautiful night sky. Mountain goats were roaming around. In Caster go on the Black Elk Trail and don't miss the Little Devil's Tower.
@peterchamala1525 It was a really incredible spot, but you’re right about the winds. They were howling every night. Totally missed out on the mountain goats, which was a bummer. We made up for it in cows though! 😄 Totally missed “Little Devil’s Tower”, but we did make it to the big one! Thanks for the tips and for checking out our video!
@LauraOnTheMove Thank you for watching! We really enjoyed our time there. I’ve heard the rumor that it will be closes to the public at some point. Hopefully, it remains just a rumor.
The Badlands has it's own beauty and I hope you enjoyed the visit. I wonder how you feel about the boondocking? As it happens I do more boondocking than campgrounds. I love being able to get into sites that are a bit more secluded, but sometimes the conveniences of a developed campground are pretty nice too.
@dalekarraker6851 The Badlands were amazing! We’ll definitely have to return and soon. We much prefer boondocking to campground. We usually find ourselves at campgrounds, out of necessity. Whether it’s time constraints, or convenience to where we may be enroute to. There’s nothing like a secluded spot in nature, all to ourselves. Especially, not hearing the big rigs with their generators. That’s the beauty of HT. They fit in the best spots and go anywhere our Rubicon can..
Nice video...isn't that area different. The way the soil is when dry its like popcorn snow in the way it forms. Gary I like " what are we making for lunch" excuse me...."we". Kickin back in your easy chair filming! Glad you guys had a great time. While tripping do you enjoy reading? There is a book "Lost City of Z" by author David Grann, a true adventure story just for you guys the adventurists! Safe travels
Thank you @scottgorman7166 It really is like an alien land! Love reading and have yet to read "Lost City of Z". Wanted to read before watching the movie/series(?) w/Charlie Hunan(?) It's on the list! Thanks for the recommendation and for watching our videos. Appreciate you!
@@skywaystohighways this is not related to the Dakota trip but on your 23 Zero boot bags...how are they attached to the door frame? Also the trailer I ordered has the screen doors as a separate door, can I still attach the boot bag? Thanks
@@skywaystohighways Problem is, it’s one of the states my wife’s VPN doesn’t work in. I’m not restricted by such boundaries, just can’t leave the continental.
Interesting scenery for sure, but dang it's desolate. I had enough wide-open spaces while on sea duty (Navy) many years ago. I need to be around some trees nowadays. 😊
@retnav92 It was definitely desolate and did kinda remind me of an old excavation site, but it was so serene. I’m a Tree hugging, mountain lover at heart. But, we did enjoy our time there.
@Bigdreamadventures The amount of billboards they have must cost a small fortune, but they’re hilarious! Kudos to their advertising team. Loved it though it was impossible to see it all in one day.
Good job. Such a beautiful sunset.
Hey there @billleland957 Thank you! It was a beautiful spot from sunrise to sunset!

So cool! Those cows and bison, wow.
@louiscameron It was definitely critter country! Loved all the animals. More Buffalo to come on the next upload. Thanks for watching!

That sunrise is gorgeous 🤩 This is one of the best BLM spots I've stayed at across the whole country! Beautiful place!

SO cool! We've been wanting to do a week or two in South Dakota.
Hey @chadi7173 ! You absolutely must! Loved it! Looking forward to returning and checking out North as well.

We drove from Seattle to West Palm Beach last year in October and saw all the signs and we had to stop. We were amazed.

@ mark 13:50... the lil' birdies are telling you guys to head to Mesa Verde to the "cliff dwellings"... 🤔maybe?
😂
@lencicollier6492 Have heard I that’s a beautiful spot!

@stevueller7376 Thank you! 🤎
Funny I had to go back and check my pictures I stayed about 30 foot behind you on the wall. Just I was weeks later.
@Cbockhoff No way! Sad we missed you! How awesome would that’ve been?
