I'm so glad this is finally done! Remaking my series was a good decision and I hope you all like how I've improved it. Some of the animation in this already looks old but whatEVER episode 2 will be even better!
Also, make sure you watch this with headphones, some of the sound effects are surround and might sound awkward without them.

Q: "What kind of animals are these?"
A: African Wild Dogs, also known and referred to as Painted Dogs.
Q: "What's with the cheetahs at the beginning?"
A: The opening scene takes place in the future, when Layali is old and is a "gogo" (grandma). The mother cheetah is Kioni, and the babies are, of course, her cubs. More will be revealed in time!
Q: "Why is her mother so mean?"
A: Well, she's really hurt and confused at the moment, and doesn't have the best relationship with her daughter, as much as she tries to convince herself she does. Again, more will be revealed in time.
Q: "Why don't the mouths move when they talk?"
A: Lipsync is tedious and I don't like it.

Ikr i suck t lipsync i usually just make it look like there talking but the mouths never match the words 😂
Ghostpaint I think lipsyncing will make this better but if you think it doesn’t then I won’t ask you to do it.
The no lip sync makes it hard to find out which character is which, otherwise great animation!
You just have to remember which voice is which

Oh man, this has to be the most atmospheric animated series in the community! The first scene was so serene and really brought me into the world! I was a little confused when you said you were redoing the series, but I 100% understand now. Everything has improved so much: the writing, the animation, and how everything fits together. Ugh I can't get over how atmospheric that was, you've really done the African setting justice

I love this. Wild dogs are my spirit animal. I took 5 tests, they all came out as wild dog. I didn't even know what they were before I took that test.

This is still amazing!, Your animation is on point and I love the atmosphere that You give it, though Zola reminds Me a bit of Rainflower from the Warriors series in that she seems to hate her own daughter for no particular reason.

Love this. Great animation. I imagine it being two years since this was released, three* the soundtrack and lipsink has gotten better so i wont even bother with feedback. I'm intrigued
at first I was a bit confused on why you reuploaded it, but then I read the description
The no lipsync thing which everyone thinks is a big deal doesn’t bother me. Animals in the wild don’t usually move their mouths to communicate, anyways.
Now, that there's a classic start.

The poor pup, the reason why she had blood on her paws is because she was mourning the death of her father and the reason why she was there is because she was needed for training but I kinda understand why the mother is behaving the way she is, she's really upset due to the lost of her mate and when you're upset it's hard to think rationally.
I also wonder what truly happened to the father.

I enjoy your painted flowers series but I prefer the old version to the updated version I like the old version a lot better.
This is fucking beautiful.
At first it really bugged me that their mouths don't move when they talk. It was hard to tell who was talking. But then I got into it and didn't really notice. I still would like future episodes to have this changed though.
One last thing, the cheetahs don't look like young cheetah cubs as they are missing the black and white marking that covers their back. Therefore they must be a few months old. For some reason they seemed younger than that to me. Idk. And just for your information, cheetah mothers will often move their cubs to different dens, these are usually thickets and not caves. Though this is most likely because caves are scarce on the savanna and bigger animals would have no problem chasing out a cheetah family.
