The missionaries did a remarkable job of answering questions for me nobody cared to or could answer. All this negativity about them is not something I am unfamiliar with. The missionaries have always looked for a way to serve members and none members alike. I had a friend whose house caught fire. She had 3 grandchildren living with her and her boyfriend at the time. I being a member of the church asked members to help her. The men, women and missionaries all put on their work clothes and helped her clean up the mess. The sister missionaries got their hands dirty doing the hard work and detail cleaning. The homeowner did not have insurance so the help was greatly appreciated. Btw not one mention of the church, the homeowner knew who they were and was so thankful for the help. Missionary volunteers also help in tragic situations such as tornadoes, floods etc. They also help in soup kitchens and with homeless shelters. But people prefer to tell what they THINK they know instead of truth. Btw the church does not pay anyone any allowance or money. We have unpaid leadership but we won’t mention that.
The missionaries are indeed trying to increase membership in the LDS church. They came to my home and studied with me a couple of lessons and then they asked me I wanted to get baptized to become a member.
We are glad you met the missionaries. Invitation to be baptized is one invitation of Jesus Christ and His teaching. Not to increase the membership of the church but to help people to come closer to God. :) We would like to answer some of your questions. Just let is know. :)
@@kirkkwso the religions practises and beliefs were changed over time in the last century, yet we are to believe the rest of the religion has remained unchanged since 600 BC when the original Book of Mormon was written?

Poor guys, those freemasons always choose the vulnerable ones. May God give them truth, and soften their hearts so they can accept the lies they have been told.
It's despicable tithing isn't used to fund missions--but instead the church uses tithing to fund business ventures and megamalls, in addition to paying all their top leadership 150k-250k a year living stipends.
Considering the amount of money expended by "the top" in service to the Gospel and the diminished income by quitting their jobs, 200K is a pittance. Peace.
200K a year to do nothing is not pittance. Watching and LDS leader speak is like watching MSNBC. Real Apostles would be traveling the world spreading the word of Christ for free.
To be an apostle you had to be an eye witness of Christ who hasn't returned so I dont know how they can see someone who isn't here at the moment. To be a Prophet you cant be wrong even once.

When you pay tithing there's a section where you can voluntarily donate money to missionaries from your ward or branch who are currently serving.

There was no need or proof that the gospel needed to be restored. Please show us a scripture in the Holy Bible where gospel needed to be restored
