Thanks for those tips, I will definitely apply it into my real estate photography! The sky is a little bit too dark for my taste, but separating the layers this way makes a lot of sense. Thank you!
very cool. I was hoping next time you go through the Details panel you might explain more what is happening and what Radios is what we are looking for when we hold the Alt key and slide the masking slider. thanks.
Thank you so much! The radius defines the area around an edge that will get sharpened, so 0,5 means lightrroom will sharpen 0,5 pixels around edges which results in suuuuper 'fine' sharpening!
Christian, This is a wonderful illustration of the depths in the photo, focusing on darkening the foreground of the fields, and the upper part of the sky, by means of increasing shadows and whites while decreasing exposure and blacks. Your inspiration is brilliant! I am grateful to you! I just think of landscape photography time selections, such as before or after the sunrise, or in the sunset, or at any time during the day. Also about the camera aperture selections, for example, this photo, whether or not, it cloud be 11. Thank you very much for your concerns!
I know more or less all tools and procedures in ACR or Lightroom, but this beautiful use of a combination of masks on a specific example is just perfect. Great video.
Great video Christian! We are on the same wavelength when it came to 'removing distracting elements' - you removed the exact same two things I could have done too :-)
Just found you this morning. I can see we are going to get alone just fine. I have been using Lightroom for years. I have learned some new things from you already. Thanks!
Christian, excellent! Question you added a significant amount (90) of sharpening. I thought this was unusually high. Especially since you did not mask the sharpening out from the sky, I thought maybe you wanted the sharpening in the clouds. And especially if you’re going to just use the edit for posting on the web. Any thoughts on sharpening this image would be appreciated. Thank you.
Hey, thank you for the comment! I love addings larger amounts of sharpening for web uploads and I think it works great coupled with masking. I do think I masked out the sky for this image as well, maybe I did cut away that part by accident when I worked on the video (I usually mask out the sky but maybe keep in some clouds for sharpening)
Thank you! The radisu defines how many pixels around an edge will get sharpened. So 0,5 means, 0,5 pixel around and edge will be sharpened in this case
Nice information and wonderful voice as well BUT without your monitor calibration especially brightness - we're just guessing and pushing sliders Your thoughts?
Thanks for the comment! The outcome will look slightly different on different display but I wouldnt say its a dramatic change as long as someone isnt using super strange display settings. Also seeing this should help to understand my reasoning behind the edit!
I can’t save or print a photo that I have added masks too. LRC saves & prints the original photo w/o the masks. Any recommendations, great video as always.
Hmm that is really strange, I never encountered any problem like this... Not sure how to help you, but you might want to take this to the Adobe Community Forums. Im sure there will be someone with a solution to this problem!
This was so satisfying to watch!
You have great vision with light and shadows. Very easy to understand your thought process.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for supporting my channel!

Superb Christian. I've only recently discovered your channel and it is already my favourite. Clear practical tuition.

Haha it was reaaaally distracting!
Great video Christian! We are on the same wavelength when it came to 'removing distracting elements' - you removed the exact same two things I could have done too :-)
Thank you so much for commenting! These two things were really destroying the otherwise calm scenery :-)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Great as ever

well done great video
I also like the unedited version. Different style, but it works for me.
Video của bạn rất hay và hữu ích
Xin chào ! Tôi đến từ Việt Nam ❤
Love it
Gracias.
amazing work
Hi, Christian!
May we ask you to hide the "Filmstrip" bar on your videos in order to get a larger view of the image??

Nice edit! What does radius do under detail section?
Thank you! The radisu defines how many pixels around an edge will get sharpened. So 0,5 means, 0,5 pixel around and edge will be sharpened in this case

I love your videos. Is there too much magenta or purple in the sky? I would crop out the sky a bit, jmo.
Thank you very much! I dont think there is too much purple in the sky, but I could have brought it down a little for a cleaner blue

The sky is obviously overcooked
