Hi Christian. I think the idea of getting your viewers to edit one of your photos is a fantastic way to expand all of our editing "horizons". As for sharing the results, perhaps the simplest way would be a particular hashtag on Instagram and ask people to upload and tag their edited photos there. I know IG isn't the ideal viewing experience, but it's simple. Just a thought. Thanks for all the great vids.
Thanks for the comment! I'm planning a different video where I include viewers edits which will be much easier to share and compare. I will start giving out the raw file for that video sometime in august I think and hopefully we get a lot of people to participate! :-)

Hello Christian,
I really enjoy watching your videos, and as an experienced photographer with quite decent skills in image editing, I am surprised at what you can bring out of photos using only Lightroom. Regarding this particular image, you did enhance the sky and improve the lighting mood, but the picture didn't become "more interesting" as a result. It became more harmonious and looks better, but it didn't become more interesting; the composition didn't improve, and the subject isn't more impressive than before.
I'm surprised when you say that you spent hours developing this image and choosing the right settings. I am very impressed by many of your photos, but this one isn't among them, and it wouldn't make it into my portfolio. I wouldn't have spent much time on this picture for that reason. The foreground is not optimal and somewhat boring, and unfortunately, the sky alone can't make up for that.
I have completely different photos that I can't manage to edit properly, despite having nine bracketed shots against the sun, to show even a fraction of what I saw on location. I've worked on the photo repeatedly over months and eventually gave up because I couldn't represent the scene as I experienced it in person.

Hey ,thanks for commenting! For me I really like this image composition wise and I love the light, I jsut wasnt happy with the foreground of the original raw. I do like the finished image, but of course there are different opinions when it comes to styles like that, so I can understand if there are people who dont like this version for those reaseons!
@@ThePhlogPhotography I completely agree with you. The composition itself isn't bad and the sky is also great. The solitary tree starting to glow in the backlight is a nice touch. With a better foreground, it could have been an absolutely brilliant photo. I noticed in your photo gallery that you have many such photos of fields with beautiful ears of grain in the foreground. Those pictures are powerful. However, for training purposes, especially for less experienced photographers, this photo is a good playground. Grüße aus der Hauptstadt ;)
Christian, I am very sorry, I tried to added a link with the edited photo to my old comment that you replied, I used google photo link to send the link, but the whole comment was deleted by TH-cam. I am not sure how to use Drive to send the link because it requires some converters, which I am very confused. I have no idea what to do.
It seems TH-cam doesnt like people posting links in the comments.. I'm really sorry about that :( I need to figure out how toshare everyones photo version for future videos :/

Hey, thanks for posting you versions! I love the one without the glow, really like the colors! The glow effect on the second one is quite heavy on the tree which makes it less visible, masking out the glow around that tree would work great I think
for me the -pl works better than -pl2. very vice

Das erste Mal, dass ich meine, du hast es übertrieben, bzw. verschlimmbessert. Mir gefiel es am besten kurz vor Photoshop.
Das ist völlig legitim, Geschmäcker sind dann doch öfters auch mal verschieden und dieses Bild ist schon stark bearbeitet worden! :-)
