Yes you can on some platforms using the email. However, connecting Google you will need to use your primary domain.

Can any here tell me whether it would be possible for users to use aspects of Groups, in particular email, using only their existing (non Groups-created) email server? I have some colleagues who I know will not want to learn Google Groups - it would be handy if I could tell them that all they need to do is reply to an email and voila, if that's the case!

Wow, quick question to ANYONE?!?! I apparently have two separate Google workspace accounts within my current email address, which I NEVER KNEW I DID UNTIL I STARTED EXPERIENCING ALL OF THIS NONSENSE! I apparently am not the administrator of my own accounts. How could someone commit fraud using Google workspace accounts and what can I do to get help? I called everywhere and since I am not the administrator, I get absolutely nowhere with anything not even me sending reports out to Google..the emails are being sent back to me and are just being archived only for me to have to constantly change settings and stop sync just to get just as far as just seeing it in black and white. Please, any help would be appreciated ❤
Thank you for the video! I have enabled the delegate feature through my admin workspace. However, I still do not see the option to grant access. Currently, I am the only user. Do I need to add her as a user (which says at the bottom that there is a charge for her workspace license)? I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Yes correct. So if you have 3 accounts (team members) then it’s $8 x 3 and you pay that per month (example) I hope that helps 🤗
I need some Info regarding if i already have a basic gmail that I'm using for business, if i set up a google workspace account and set up the new name business name with the domain i bought will all my clients from my basic email be transferred to my workspace account?

Thank you for making this very informative, Stewart! Just to clarify, if I choose the Business Starter plan, how many users can I create/add? It says on Google Support "1-300 users" while on my Admin Console under "Users" it displays that I only have up to 10 licenses available.

Essentially as many as you like. However, you pay per user per month so just be aware of that.

You will have to update your DNS and then your previous email will stop working.
I hadn't even heard of Google Workspace. Google has made my four email addresses non-functional: two gmail address, one through my internet provider and my main address @icloud for business and as Secretary to organizations and editor of a magazine. I am astounded why / how Google can shut down my icloud and web provider's email addresses. This is highly imoral and should it not be illegal? Recipes Live: Kiss your existing addresses goodbye!

do I understand correct that basically google workspace is nothing, but an e-mail server? In this video you focused on that - other than mentioning the google apps can be used -, but somehow I think all apps will be used a bit differently with google WS, than like with an individual drive. It's a complete Workspace with apps and tools and many that you cannot access on a free Google Account. However, the main reason people use GW is for the business email capabilities.

Does it cost money to add additional users? If I wanted support@example and I didn’t want to use an alias I have to pay for a whole new workspace account ?
It does to add user, however, I suggest you add an email alias. You can up to 25. You can also send and receive with that alias.
But if you want to send out outlook meeting invitations you need to have a real user because for aliases there is no calender involved, right?

How do you deliver the new email to your employee, Via email? Do they have to open a Gmail account if they don't have one or do they just open Google? If they have non-Google email how do they actually open this new email? Can their secondary email on their acct be non-Google?

They will get sent the details to their personal email or other email you added. If not you can copy and send the details manually. When you add someone they get a whole new Google account with all the apps included.

Do you have a tutorial for the scenario in which you set up Google Workspace, verify your domain, but then are not receiving emails to the new Gmail account from certain senders, and you can't find them in spam? But how do you add user account to Workspace if you are not using Gmail.... users already have their own email, and dont need new email, but simply need access to ie. Drive....
You can give them access to your drive even if they do not have a Google Workspace account.

Actually, I was wrong. I was unaware I only was given 1 license when I signed up. Google makes it look like you have 10, but you must pay for each person you add. I guess mentioning that in the video would have been helpful for beginners like myself. The video was helpful though overall..

What you would do is create aliases under your main email. You can add upto 25.

Great video, thank you! I have a Google account set up with my hello@ email address already and have been using Google Docs and other ads for years. I'm now expanding my team and would like to invest in Google Workspace to collaborate better. Is there a way to upgrade the existing Google account to Workspace, so I can still access all of my existing Docs?
I have tried starting a trial for Workspace, but when creating the Workspace account and following your steps, I get stuck at the 'how you'll sign in' step. It asks for a username and password to be created, so I used hello@ [thinking that would allow me to join it to my existing Google account], but it returns the following error saying, 'Use another username. This one is unavailable.' I tried using jessica@ and it created the account for me. However, the apps don't connect me to my existing documents created and saved on the hello@ account. I hope this makes sense, but any insight and advice would be so appreciated! Thank you in advance!
