- New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson tied a record playing for Team USA at the World Championships and he has a chance to break that mark as the tournament continues. We discuss his performance and how Team USA has fared.
Plus, Zach Parise's quest for a Stanley Cup has come to an end as the Colorado Avalanche were eliminated this weekend from the playoffs.

Agree. This is the most we'll ever get for Brock. And maybe he goes to a cup contender! Could work for both teams involved in such a scenerio. Martin and Clutter have to go. Brinbg up the young guys where applicable.
No doubt Brock's trade value will be at its highest this offseason and that the Isles would get more from him than any other player they may be willing to trade. Of course, if they trade Nelson, they are not improving the team short term and that's what Lou wants to do, win now. I just don't see Lou making this move, even if it makes sense long term. I agree now is the time to extend Romanov to a team friendly contract. Let’s just hope it’s not a career long contract the way Lou likes to do. Maxim seems like a good opportunity for both team and player. If he doesn’t adjust well, perhaps he’ll be a decent trade value. I agree 3rd line is a good place to start, but perhaps he could help Horvat & Barzy the way Cizikas did.
That's his upside, Mike. If he does well, I wouldn't be surprised to see him with Bo and Barzy. Of course, Roy changes his lines combinations constantly. Thanks for the comment.
The most notable flaw I saw from Romanov is that he tends to get stripped of the puck along the boards inside the defensive zone. Other than that he's a no frills physical defensive defenseman. Hopefully he can work on that during the off season

Well done Brock, a record is a record. I know a lot of people want to trade him, however I would be gutted to see him go. I do understand when people do.
I totally get your point about not wanting to trade him, however sacrificing him, with the right deal, can help our team team in the future. He is the most valuable player or one of the most valuable players Lou can put on the trade market who doesn’t have a full NTC.
@@mikemallimo9286 I hear you and a good haul would be more beneficial than him staying on a team that isn’t good enough to win the cup. He’s just my favourite player and would be sad to see him go.

I Zach Parisie wanted to win a Stanley Cup, and dedicate it in memory of his father., Jean Paul, who brought The Islanders Rangers rivalry to a full blown head when he scored in OT to beat them 19 1975. Alexander Romanov, 7 goals, and was a +23. He's only 24 years old, and I should give him a chance. He did get when Patrick Roy took over. Maxim Zablokov signed acontract worth $1.95M. HAPPY 🎂, NIKOLAS ANDERSON. He scored 5 points beating the Phoenix Coyotes, and they all looked like Bob Bourne, who looked like The Roadrunner, and we all know the Coyote couldn't catch him. Gm Gil. I like Brock and he has done an admirable job as an Isle. He is one of the few valuable assets on the team. Sadly, he should be traded for one or more draft picks.

Which means now is the time for louzer to move 29 for assets while he is hot and before decline occurs. Memo that to louzer. And parise is now done after the hand shake. Get to work louzer. Make some moves, dump some salary. Too bad the book has closed on any trade value for 27, 44. At least 18 is secure for 6 more seasons. Big leon could be up for grabs next season or as ufa. Too bad louzer can't participate in the leon sweepstakes.

It's a nice wish, jimerrigo7142, but we know Lou won't make that many moves. The NTCs and modified NTCs also make it difficult to do even if he wanted to. I am hoping we see enough moves to make the team better. I'm not holding my breath. Thanks for the comment.
