Imagine winning a prestigous Oscar for your performance AND getting it handed to you by your childhood celebrity crush Leo, Emma Stone mustve been in heaven XD
@@Flag-kz1tr True tho. I've seen a lot of romantic hollywood movies but in la la land... Well you could really tell that their love was real and that it was more than just acting
@@silolita1398 I mean, I understand why Emma's first reaction is "Leo!". She said in some interviews that the best thing about getting her Oscars is Leo was standing there right next to her. She couldn't believe it because she has a huge crush on Leo ever since she was a little kid. She said he was really nice and tall haha.
Hands down one of the best acceptance speeches, ever. She exhibited such class & gratitude, and did her best to acknowledge everyone who deserved to be.
Natalie was amazing, but for me, she’s more amazing in Black Swan and being Jackie is just biographical which Meryl did too in that same year and same category, besides what Emma Stone did in La La Land was phenomenal and full mastery of acting if you actually notice. She needs to dance and perform choreography with Ryan Gosling, she needs to sing amazingly and singing with acting was more challenging and last but not least, playing Mia Dolan is such a very layered acting because imagine being Emma Stone had to act as an actress who prenteded to act.
fun fact: Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) dropped out of high school to pursue her acting dreams from moving from Arizona to LA w her mom in an apartment... she worked at a bakery in LA because acting wasn’t paying the bills at the time for her... later on she got not acting gigs especially w this one. Note to people, chase your dreams no matter if you are going through hell. Emma Stone is a great example, obviously go to school though but don’t be afraid to chase your dreams. I love you Emma Stone an inspiration to me.
Easier said than done. You’re talking like moving is as easy as it seems. Not everyone is privileged to follow their dreams and it’s high time some people get that.
It's not that easy. My dream is to become an actor in America and I live in a complete other continent and also I can't support that financially. Yeah your passion and all that matter I guess, but passion is not gonna pay the bills
Well because he's Leo and this is his first time presenting an acting Oscar because he won last year so kinda special for him too hence the thumbnail and tbh Emma Stone win was kinda ridiculous at the first place don't @ me I love La La Land but watch the other performances and you'll know

I love how thoroughly unamused Meryl Streep is by her Oscar nominations, to the point where she's almost rolling her eyes and making fun of herself. She always lights up and is genuinely happy when another actress wins, not only because their performance was stellar, but also because it's not her name being called lol.
I feel so bad for poor Amy Adams, her name was originally included in the nomination list, but got taken out at the last moment cause Meryl 'fucking overrated' Streep has to be nominated for everyyyyyyyyything.
What a performance man !!! Emma was priceless as Mia . It is easier to play a biopic of a real person than creating a whole new person from an original screenplay. She did it and sold it for real bruh. She gave a creative , unique , layered and an extremely expressive performance. Great singing and dancing with a performance where she hit all the right notes. Look at the audition scene, someone in the crowd, pool party , epilogue, last smile exchange, failed audition, lovely night scene, argument scene and etc..... Natalie was amazing as Jackie but Emma deserved it more than any other performer this year.
Apurva Dhopavkar Audition song from La La Land but the instrumental, it might be a part of Epilogue as well, Epilogue is like has a part from each song (it is also in the soundtrack of La La Land)
Not really, people just have an issue with the fact that a more accessible, less challenging role played by a younger woman is more likely to win than a masterclass in brilliance (Huppert).
itsybitsy999 I get it.. I love Isabelle Huppert too. I was all between her and Emma Stone. Maybe she wins because the film itself and the campaign is huge, meanwhile Elle - a foreign film - probably not as huge as La La Land. I agree, but Emma Stone's simple character is well performed and structured too.
Dean Dean That is so true. Just look at Liza Minelli that clearly deserved the award for Cabaret, Art Carney for Harry and Tonto, Roberto Benigni for Life is Beautiful (personally i think that him wasn't the best, but I don't think that it's undeserving at all) and Reneé Zellweger for Chicago that losed agains Nicole Kidman in a role that was pretty harder (she wonnered for Cold Mountain just for compensate, I'm 100% sure).
Kidman did nothing in The Hours, one of the least deserving winners in memory. Zellweger was more worthy. Nicole Kidman wasn't even nominated for Cold Mountain, rightly so. And are we really comparing Liza Minelli to Emma Stone? Come on now.
itsybitsy999 Zellweger wonnered for Cold Mountain for compensate the lose for Chicago. And i'm not comparing anybody, just reflecting about people getting salty on the same way
Can you please stop saying "she didn't deserve it"?!!!. I'm one of those who think Isabelle Huppert,Natalie portman and the unffairly not nominated Amy adams gave better performances...but Emma gave a great performance. She smiles, she cries, she sings, she dances, she screams....She is THE BEST of La la land. She is just inmortalized in a beautiful musical which is also a comedy drama !!!! STOP WHINING
Well the others did also scream and cry. Emms was amazing in la la land. And it's also very special. And it's not weak. But if Meryl or Natalie or Isabel were younger I can see them doing Emma's role. Cause I think almost every actress can play Mia cause some actresse can sing, cry and act very well

The way Andrew Garfield looks at Ryan gosling!?! Oh heck no sorry to be a hater but Ryan gosling is on a much higher level than Andrew!
reminds me of when sebastian and mia met for the final time at the bar - the longing stare, it's like saying " thank you for being a part of my life" kinda feel
she really deserved this, La La Land was a magnificent film :)
Movie was best but she don't deserve to win.. hands down
She really did, she performed so well especially in those 4 minutes.
I Agree
She was phenomenal in lalaland, she sang, danced etc
@@anniewilson7803 bruh what? movie was ok, she was phenomenal
0:56 the girl sleeping behind Dwayne Johnson 😂😂😂
Gabriela Castillo lol that’s Chrissy Teigen 😂😂
I see her now😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂🤣
Crystal clear eyes
she’s so classy and talented she totally deserved this
Emma Stone brought an amazing level of emotion to her role. She deserved it
DoctorXander No, she didn't. All of the other nominees gave better performances.
She really did. she's far from Movie 43 now ♡
Sami Brady Yeah she did
@@samibrady6018 Nope. She deserved and other nominated were no better than her
@@davisonronald3877 yes, Natalie Portman y Isabelle Hupert...
Leo giving me my award would have been enough for me.
I love how thoroughly unamused Meryl Streep is by her Oscar nominations, to the point where she's almost rolling her eyes and making fun of herself. She always lights up and is genuinely happy when another actress wins, not only because their performance was stellar, but also because it's not her name being called lol.
Now the queen is two times an Academy winner!
Emma's face after hugging Leonardo DiCaprio is me, as a crazy teenager in love of Jack Dawson!
Amy Adams is missing
Was Robert Downey Jr. there? (RDJ)
Totally agree with all those comments, Amy & Annette?? When? When?
Amy Adams! - tell me about it. One of the biggest rip off of any actor or actress at that circus called The Oscars. Fuck that shit!
I know but can’t you just be happy for Emma?
Aziz who says we are not?
The way Andrew looks at her makes my heart ache
3:06 the way andrew is looking at her, i am going to cry again.
0:55 Meryl Streep is like 'not again, only the 78th nomination'
She is so genuine and warm. Love her!
Amy Adams should've been nominated for Oscars 2017
...and won ^^ either for Nocturnal Animals or Arrival
I feel so bad for poor Amy Adams, her name was originally included in the nomination list, but got taken out at the last moment cause Meryl 'fucking overrated' Streep has to be nominated for everyyyyyyyyything.
eyeyepeace lomo , “Arrival”
She is now 2 times Oscar winner!! So deserving of her two awards ❤️
Does Leo know that he's allowed to wear different suits or does he just really like that one.
😂😂😂😂😂
Yes he always wear black suit 😂
i think he knows that he can use what tf he wants :)
😂
He wore a navy suit once and the interviewer pointed it out and he was shocked "oh it is navy!" like he didn't even realise the colour 🤣
1:22 Leo waiting for Emma to come to the stage reminds me of Jack waiting for Rose at the clock 🥺
You could tell how excited she was to win here, and how shocked she was to win her recent one.
UGHH the music they used when Emma walks up the stage ❤️
Name of the song ??
Apurva Dhopavkar Audition song from La La Land but the instrumental, it might be a part of Epilogue as well, Epilogue is like has a part from each song (it is also in the soundtrack of La La Land)

It's Chrissy Teigen 😂

after I read the comment section and watch old Academy Awards videos,.. I can conclude people always have an issue with a comedy/musical performance.
It's ignoring and being ungrateful about a great performance.
1997residente boooooo
ohh pliss, her performance was nothing special,Isabelle deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well the others did also scream and cry. Emms was amazing in la la land. And it's also very special. And it's not weak. But if Meryl or Natalie or Isabel were younger I can see them doing Emma's role. Cause I think almost every actress can play Mia cause some actresse can sing, cry and act very well
Stephanie Selter well they weren't that good if they didn't get the oscar
Meryl said “boy, they’ll really gimme a nom for anything huh?”
