Yeah, it really was a huge deal when it came out, I remember it. So many years later, all people can do is remember stupid Star Wars jokes. I am a SW fan, but it's really disrespectful of an artist's ability to completely ignore their other work.
She really invented ✨pregnancy glow✨ Just really recently rewatched Black Swan and I had to come back to this, bc Natalie so deserved this oscar, also her timeless beauty always strikes me
Markus Nashorn honestly I do think it’s dumb. Many women would put their children over everything and some women should understand that. Natalie got where she is not by being born into it, she worked for it for an extremely long time at the young age of 11, so to hate on her for something she worked for is ridiculous. It’s completely normal for her to favor her child over her career. My mother favors her children more than she favors herself, she’d do anything for us. To me Natalie can do whatever she wants and if In the future she ends up retiring early to spend time with her family, then so be it. Family is the only real thing you’ll have in this industry, and it’s the only people who you have at the end of the day while millions of people hate you, so of course she should put her children first; they’re gonna be the ones to take care of her and actually have a relationship with her when she’s old and has no one else in the fake, lonely and sad world.

Deserved Oscar. And I'm really sick of the people arguing if she danced everything herself. Probably she danced everything but for some scenes they took the records of her double. I mean, who can expect that someone become a professional dancer in one year? And by the way, I actually never looked at her body when I watched Black Swan for the first time. I looked at her face. And her facial expression made her deserve that Oscar. One of the best performances of the 2000s.
I miss the way they used to address nominees personally. It felt like a far more powerful and reasonable way to make the actors feel like they deserve their nomination.
Never seen any artist giving credits to the one worked with them behind the scenes. Actress with great heart. And there are so called superstars in Bollywood won't get enough time from praising themselves. Few of them mention their directors sometimes(with greed of getting another role)

One of the most deserved Oscar in the history
I feel Natalie is a person of clean, sweet and innocent hearted.
Nah, she is jewish.
so what if she's jewish?
@@rionesenobi9563 I don't like them, that's all.
PsyMOONze oh my god, I can’t believe people like you still exist
@@no-hr8op What people? Not everyone who doesn't like jews is a nazi.
Probarbly the most deserved Oscar win ever.
that's debatable. She may have had a double in some of the 'ballet' scenes.
Frances... Three billboards.
That night was the best Jennifer Lawrence has ever looked.
Yeah, I just hate that her dress was a cheap knockoff of Scarlett Johansson's from the 2009 Golden Globes :(
Her life seems so stable and well-balanced......can’t relate
James Franco baked 24/7
lmaoooo
baked since freaks and geeks
Plot Twist play a stupid game, win a stupid prize.
Lol even at the oscar
For 127 hours
Natalie deserved every bit of that Oscar in 2011. Black Swan is still such a great mind screw.
It is a masterpiece. And the more you know about being onstage, the harder it hits..
@@valmacclinchy sorry to break to you. it is not a masterpiece when it ripped off perfect blue. I hate it when Hollywood acts like this is something new when Japan and those creation already happened and did great
@@pauldonovan8036 I didn't say it was new.
West Side Story can still be amazing, even though it's the same story as Romeo and Juliet.
I still consider Black Swan a masterpiece.
@@valmacclinchy more upset the fact that the director didn’t credit the amazing work from director of perfect blue. Especially he got an Oscar and they creator of the story doesn’t have the same fame is wrong to me
Natalie rapping on SNL deserves a Grammy as well.
Technically, that would only eligible for an Emmy, since it was only on TV.
@@wylierno, both songs are eligible for Grammys
@@sesqu7270 well, they didnt give her one, so it's kind of too late now! lol
@@wylier yes haha
They WERE eligible lol
one of the greatest performances by an actress and one of the most deserved winners in hollywood history
My goodness Jennifer Lawrence was so hot here.
Isn’t she still hot?
@@alinasings nope
kooky croon yes
@@alinasings she was never-
@@alinasings yes she is
She is such a grounded person and so comfortable with herself. I think that's what makes her a great actor as well as an incredible human being.
She won the Oscar, she was pregnant, young, beautiful, happily married and full of success thanks to the fame of Black Swan. I think at that moment she was at her top of her life, what a beautiful moment for her. Love her ❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for all the love and support towards my career, seriously blown away by the love from you all
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think she is like Audrey Hepburn from our time...
Yea with looks.... nothing else...
@@bibaolaitan5189 ummm natalie is actually beauty and brains, she literally graduated from harvard with a bachelor's degree in Psychology
@@bibaolaitan5189 atleast Natalie Portman was a brilliant graduated woman from harvard rather than stupid ass Aubrey. Talent, beauty and brain.
Aubrey is stupid but Audrey Hepburn, the actress being spoken of, is quite brilliant as well.
YES DEFINITELY
Natalie gave the performance of the decade, the most valued actress of her generation
Just watched Black Swan for the first time, and yeah, I can totally see why she won the Oscar for that performance. Mila was equally as fantastic.
Thanks
Natalie looks STUNNING
She does!!
She did deserve a standing ovation! I really don't understand why people keep sitting in their seats. #NataliePortman was THAT awesome in #BlackSwan ! One of the most AMAZING performances ! Just WOW !
Yel Yint because she's a jew women.
Man.....James Franco was hitting the weed hard before the Oscars, you can clearly see it all over his face lol!
Kingsta2000 He always looks like that :)
Natalie's child is the youngest ever to won Academy.
Why everyone is making Star Wars jokes?, I know it's funny and all that stuff but the comments should highlight more the work she did here. What an amazing movie!!! Loved every second of it. Natalie is from another world in Black Swan.
Yeah, it really was a huge deal when it came out, I remember it. So many years later, all people can do is remember stupid Star Wars jokes. I am a SW fan, but it's really disrespectful of an artist's ability to completely ignore their other work.
This is the way
@@katherinewilson1853 i missed the part where thats my problem
Your words sound like a Separatist
@@katherinewilson1853 Just as painful now when we see all the great work Adam Driver is doing and all you hear is Kylo Ren blah blah blah.
She really invented ✨pregnancy glow✨
Just really recently rewatched Black Swan and I had to come back to this, bc Natalie so deserved this oscar, also her timeless beauty always strikes me
Am I the only one that didn’t know Natalie had children... WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?
Markus Nashorn that’s so stupid. Wait did she say it was her most important role or she didn’t and chose to put other things above her kids?
What you mean you never knew? She had Leia and Luke 🤪

She's so freaking adorable, I love this woman to the moon and back. She deserves this so much
i love you to the moon and back
I love how she first acknowledged her parents in her win. Shows that she's got a good character and moral values 👌👏👏
My female crush
+love villanueva so you´re bi?
+Ragnar exactly when was that implied she was bi? Lol because she's a woman with a woman crush she's bi? And say if she is straight, does having a woman crush automatically qualifys her being bi?
Ragnar have you never seen men say on yt comments "you would be my man crush" if you havent seen that ever, you havent seen enough comments. Take the game grumps, they frequently joke about them crushing over each other, even though arin is married to a woman, and danny's character in ninjasexparty revolves around sex with hot girls. They dont really like themselves. Same instance most likely with this woman.

3:27 the way he kissed her and walked her almost to the top where he felt she was saved and graciously let her arms go so she can shine
So nice of her to give credit to entire team that works with her , that too naming them individually !! It requires big heart ...
i've always like portman as an actress, everything she has ever starred in has been golden, she's one of the last traditional artistic based actresses left
One of the best performances of the 2000s.
agreed 100%, her oscar wasn't about the fancy dancing but how she portrayed the role of nina and brought it to life.
Are you a live
I miss the way they used to address nominees personally. It felt like a far more powerful and reasonable way to make the actors feel like they deserve their nomination.
Never seen any artist giving credits to the one worked with them behind the scenes. Actress with great heart.
And there are so called superstars in Bollywood won't get enough time from praising themselves. Few of them mention their directors sometimes(with greed of getting another role)
Only copy paste is done in all of indian film industry .
It’s well deserved too. She definitely is a hard working actress.
She is such a natural from when I saw her in Leon she is just an amazing actress... she should do more films not seen much of her since the black swan tho... :(
MsMimilala I guess bc she is a mother now, but i'm really sure she is going to come back
