      I prefer open loop cooling. But if I was going to buy an AIO for a friend's system, I'd probably get a SilverStone PF360-ARGB Permafrost 360mm for $129 usd. I wouldn't get a Cooler Master AIO. I had one before I got into open loops and the pump was very noisy and it didn't cool all that well. It's nice that Cooler Master has clips to hold the RGB connectors together. I've always used a small piece of electrical tape.

    I just ordered one of these, thanks for the good explanation of all the connections, never used anything with RGB connections before. For me I think it's a good deal, only $70 and I'm not planning on doing an overclock. I just wanted something that had some nice lighting and did better cooling than lower end air coolers which is what I have right now.

    Considering that the ML240V2 has a thinner rad than most AIO's, the results are pretty good, to be honest. The Arctic Liquid Freezer II is a chart topper because its rad is 38mm thick. NZXT's Kraken AIO's have a thickness of 30mm. Cooler Master's only has 27mm thickness.
    And since I'm drooling over their latest NR200 ITX case, I'm leaning more towards the ML240V2 than Arctic Liquid Freezer.

    When you're giving a delta temperature don't forget to include the room temperature because otherwise, the entire test doesn't make much sense.

    • @zertex2830
      @zertex2830 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Ádám Bezzegh If the room is 40c and you have a cooling capacity of 350W on a 1050ti that consumes ~130W the entire test is going to make no sense. The reason been the cooler can desipate as much heat as the air can take. If you perform the same test example (1050ti 350W cooler rate) in a room that's 10c you'll see quite a bit of a difference in the delta. If you want the test to make sense you should either compare it to a known cooler or give info such as fan cfm and room temp.

    If I were you, I would have skipped attaching the fans on the radiator as the first task as they add quite a bit of weight to what is already a fairly heavy piece of hardware. I would attach the radiator to the case first, then attach the pump block and then set the fans on, since this AIO has the benefit of having fan screws that can easily be tightened with your fingers so you are also less likely to damage the screw threads.

    I always feel sad for the energy lost due to lack of technology. We use energy to heat up a device (which is a side effect), then spend more energy and resources too cool it down. It's a waste of resources. Scientists should fix this asap. We need a cpu that does not produce waste heat, or a system that can recycle that heat energy.

    I just installed one on my 3700X, replacing a ML120L (Came with a prebuild). Still experimenting.
    I've been running all the fans on "silent" and getting about what I was on "performance" with the 120. It ramps up but not as much. Hits 70c still. I have it front mounted with push/pull fans (4) in a mesh front case (Neo Air). 8 case fans in total plus 3 on the 3080. I'm going to try setting my fan curve to max earlier, see what happens.
    Also didn't notice the RGB Sickleflows included don't match the six *ARGB Sickleflows I already had. Limited in effect and the colors only match in the primary colors. The "white" still has a blue tinge to it. Not what I was going for. Two more argb somewhere in my future. I'm trying to be "done".

    A word of advice to anyone who might be considering buying one of these bad boys. If you have a 5900x AMD CPU and you want to cool it with it, it will do a decent job on the temperature front, but on the noise levels it will be like you have a harrier jet trying to take off in your room

      I bought this yesterday for my Ryzen 5 3600. The temps are cool but this whining noise all the time like its going to take off. Is this the known problem for this cooler? Can i tweak it somehow?

      @@bkstandukar Download a program to regulate at whihch temperature how much the fans spin up. I have one for my x570 motherboard that helps me configure when the fans spool up. Basically on light use 20-30% fan speed keeps your system pretty cool ( i have a 5900x ) and the temperatures are in the 40-50 degrees and 25-30% fan speed. At that speed the fans are pretty quiet
