also, this video is pretty outdated, both games have gotten major updates. dark sea in arcane odyssey has brought tons of pve content and new pvp mechanics, while blox fruits may have done the same. it's unfair to compare them now
Extra point to AO for the sea stuff:
While AO haves diving points with cool treasures, you can go fishing, there's sharks, sea monsters, pirates that spawn randomly and not at the same island at the exact same location, intense weather and a mysterious sea that surrounds the whole map. Blox froots haves a 15 ft deep flat sea
actually blox fruits has a 6 foot sea considering how the player can nearly touch the bottom
blox fruits has no point in exploring considering its all locked behind grinding for 200 years.

I think the biggest thing i love about ao is that is it isnt p2w. Every gamepass in the game is just for drip, no boosted drop rates, no buying magics, everyone has the same stuff. Of course that doesnt mean you wont still get occasionally slapped by someone with better gear then you but at least you know they worked for it.
erm.... durable notes are p2w because you have twice the chance to have your fubny notes or helpful notes last longer!!!!

as much as you probably dont want to make another video on this topic, you forgot to compare the boats design and functionality. i played blox fruits once and all i remember is joining, spawning in the starter boat, then crying myself to sleep.
i was originally going to mention npc ships and ships as a whole as part of the pve section, but thought it'd be redundant to compare since blox fruits has very little ship combat as far as im aware

80% of the game is grinding over and over again Lmao , i don't get why people actually grind from level 1 through 3000+ it's a really bad leveling system

I played blox fruits since update 3 and I can whole-heartedly say ao is better in pretty much every regard. The only thing I feel like blox fruits is "better in" is that its more of like a "kill 20 minutes" game. I mean yeah there are like puzzles and things that take a ridiculous amount of time but I feel like for ao you need atleast an hour imo to sit down so you can immerse yourself in playing the game.

I agree but I feel like the only place where vetex can improve is optimization of AO. That is the only thing I wish he focuses a bit more on. Other than this, AO is one of the best games on roblox for now (in the fantasy and to some extent adventure genre)

one downside of AO is the combat, but it works for what it is. simple, but effective.

In arcane odyssey there is more boat fighting then in whole blox fruits
People will say “Arcane odyssey copied blox fruits” not realising that blox fruits is quite literally the most unoriginal game ever. Vetex *took inspiration* from one piece (eg: grand line being dark sea a bit), because one piece is literally a masterpiece, it’s hard not to make a game involving magic seas with many islands somewhat like one piece.
the dark sea update came first in Arcane Odyssey
Arcane odyssey story is from greek mytholgy with a little twist and the dark sea is either a reference or he really took good inspitation which is kinda cool. Bloxfruits has copied more stuff in OP than AO did.
crazy since arcane adventures brought the idea of ship combat, traveling in sea, and a whole bunch of islands. It also came before Blox fruits. Arcane odyssey is just the sequel to arcane adventures

So i have a few things to say, i have tried every non vitality build in arcane odyssey and have v4 and max level on blox fruits if that matters
About the anti cheat, hackers in blox fruits are much more common, but knowing the playercount difference, then that might make sense (still theres like 5 hackers every server at least)
Blox fruits is a one piece game, but ships are literally useless (dash and geppo get you across the sea at roughly the same speed), while arcane odyssey ships are a big part of the game (ship combat is addicting)
Arcane odyssey combat is much better in my opinion, and requires much more skill, the game is also more balanced that blox fruits, blox fruits combo literally takes no skill, i have a max bounty friend who just spam and win fights, arcane odyssey needs you to have aim, prediction and dodging
Overall arcane odyssey takes the W for me

Also, if youve been grabbed move by a player (Snare, Rush, alot of weapons) you have immunity, until their health bar turns yellow
just got out technically second sea in the Dark sea and holy shit is it fun. you legit need to know how to sail a ship or you are screwed. NPC’s are strong as hell and you get a passive insanity debuff that gets more and more serious the further you go in. hit at least lvl 1 and you suffer visions and hallucinations, making it hard to fight. lvl4 and you’re gone but warding stops that. and thats just the tip of the dark sea

let's say this, im a magma warlock and im fighting a warrior, and wont you look at that after airstalling a bit he starts falling down, what do i do?
i aim shot to where he's about to land, follow it up with a reflex and quickly use slam smash, there you go, easy 500 damage right there and then, AND I could follow it up with a selino for an extra 200 - 300 damage
that right there is a 700 - 800 hp combo, clearing out half of your enemy's hp because of them lacking, that's AO's combat
what if they dash backwards or parry block?? or maybe fight back

Correction on anti cheat. Blox fruits has a shittier aniti cheat compared to ao, vetex prevented hackers by blocking Microsoft roblox players from joining the game, where there were no hacks detection system. Compared to blox fruits which has way more, only reason you don't see them is because they are all in multiple sever, completely filled.

The pvp part is especially true. In blox fruits, max level 3m bounty btw, its just whoever gets the combo of first wins. In ao you can turn things around by parrys dodging and playing it smart instead of mindlessly going on yt and finding a combo for your build

Even if blox fruits has combos, arcane odyssey has a similar system. Magic combinations for mages and fighting style combinations for berserkers.
The huge difference is that AO is more freedom-based that for the most part even with all these "combos" your opponent still has some options unless petrified or frozen. Meanwhile Blox Fruits has the more Fighting Game Style of doing combos: You get combos in and your opponent can't do much if they wasted their movement options. While in AO you can still fight back for the most part and those more classical combos are almost always short as hell since it's only one or two grabs, Blox Fruits has a more traditional problem.

quick reminder blox fruits is focused on younger people (5 year old childrens) so it will be a lot simpler than AO

Just so you know, the only reason blox fruits apparently has no STORY is because your only talking about FIRST AND SOME OF SECOND SEA.
FIRST SEA WAS CREATED IN 2019.
Second sea actually has a story, (if you choose to do the work to do the story itself) and so does third sea. All you gotta do is grind a little.
Let's compare elements of Arcane Odyssey's story to Blox fruits' story!

Government Corruption (i think)
Actual side characters that journey alongside you
You don't have to grind 1700 hours just to be able to learn about the story
Actually a sequel as well, which gives it even more lore than it already has
An actual power system that's original.
Blox fruits:
There's none.
Even if there was, it's probably shallow, unorganized slop made just for the sake of it.
AO has a weak anti-cheat but Bloxfruits has little to no protection (there is always that one player flying and using m1 on the npcs)

It's literally mentioned in the magic selection that they're all pretty much the same. Only difference is how they interact with each other. Clashing is a pretty big part of pvp and pve in AO, and whether your magic outclashes the other will make a big difference. This doesn't even go into how AO magic actually has synergies and stuff, making using them alongside other magics/weapons/fighting styles the way you should use them

Blox fruits have fun pvp but when you get good items, good abilities and finish grind then pvp is most of what's left
In AO there's more of an exploration rpg theme with some random event
sea is also much better with diffrend weathers and actualy a rougth sea events like wirlpools or gigant waves that damage your ship
sea beasts are cool but they are rare outside iof 3rd sea zones and ships are barely there
AO is ironicaly a great one piece like game with its exploration and feeling of free open world and captures that aspect better than any actual one piece game on platform
Tbh i like arcane more but blox fruits just seem to have more content for me except for story
90% of Blox Fruit's progression is artificially padding out play time to keep players on the game for as long as humanly possible to boost chances of them buying stuff. Arcane Odyssey does waste your time in some areas, but it doesn't feel nearly as atrocious, especially since there's a storyline to keep you engaged for a while. Arcane Odyssey rarely ever asks you to beat the same npc for hours on end unless it's optional, and that's usually for grinding for boss items.
And its p2w arcane has no robux passes that give 7 an advantage

arcane odyssey itself is just better than blox fruits in almost every factor. look at blox fruits, dont get me wrong its an amazing game with amazing graphics, but its just a bandit beater. you dont get as much customization as you would like, and the pvp itself is pretty bad. blox fruits pvp is just about "who can land the combo first." arcane odyssey on the other hand has a storyline, and yes, while there are level blocks that you have to get around, theres much more action and exploration you can do. arcane odyssey's pvp isnt the best, but it is something to behold. its graphics are amazing, and you get lots of customization, like builds, ships, classes. blox fruits is amazing, but there are noticeable differences between it and arcane odyssey

The aoe in AO isn’t anywhere near that small, it isn’t worth grinding for 50000 hours against the same enemy just to get to an overall bad combat system, and vertex doesn’t screw you over with rng or p2w at all. (Not counting archspheres but still) a game 10x better than blox fruits all from one person, vertex wins the 1v4 no diff.

so basically what your friend were saying, ao combos is literally just spam spam n spam, while blox fruit one is the one that does actual combo, and BY THE WAY. you can bypass those 1 shot combo with observation haki, fishman v3 ability, fishman v4 ability, and alot more thing. Yes, ao pve is better than blox fruit one, but on pvp no, im saying this as a player who got both game max level and plays both game
Having spent far too long on blox fruits pvp, I would have to disagree. While combos are generally escapable the sheer amount of massive aoe ken-breaking combo starting abilities is absurd. At a certain point they whole pvp system is just spamming the largest stun move you have to set up a combo. A good percentage of the moves even have auto-tracking. If you even dare to have a fruit without these capabilities your screwed. The dough fruit has been absurdly strong for months now and variety is limited if you want to actually win. At the very least arcane odyssey has blocking to limit giant aoe moves. Blox fruits pvp would be more fun if certain stun moves were more balanced but no, every meta move that's damn near unavoidable never gets nerfed. Arcane odyssey is not much better but at least the large aoe moves cant stun you for 3 seconds while also being absurdly fast.
ao pvp requires alot more skill than just spam spam spam, it requires you to predict your opponents, and you actually have to aim unlike blox fruits where you just have to aim one attack and press a few more keys and you win. if it was old ao with metal mages i'd agree but its now much more skill-based and it doesn't require one pulsar to instakill everything anymore

imo, they're both pretty much the same except for the fact that arcane odyssey combat is at least more fun with more playstyles that dont involve giant aoe attacks that deal 7 quadrillion damage. This doesn't even mention the fact that it doesn't take nearly as long to get into pvp in arcane odyssey than it does in Blox fruits.

the showing of pvp is bias in this vid too, blox fruits DOES have one shot combos, however none of these combos are actually true like the video stated, because of the observation haki mechanic in where you time your observation to activate when your being hit by a move that wont destroy your dodges (known as ken tricking).
Love AO to death and its clearly a better game but I cant agree on the pvp point having actually played at the max level in both games

In blox fruits, everything is locked behind 25 years of grinding, basically a life sentence, it is my fault for wasting time in the game believing there is something worthwhile at the end, but regardless I hate blox fruits.
I've seen what happens at max level. It's cool, pvp, bounty hunting. But nothing, and I mean no bullshit, that game has to offer, is worth 48+ hours of clicking the left mouse button while staring down the tab in the right corner that says "Defeated Bandits 0/8"
If I had to make the choice between shocking myself with an electric shock bracelet, and grinding from level 1, to 2500, or whatever the fuck the max level is, I am shocking myself.

You should probably revisit this once again because update 20 brought in some really good stuff also blox fruits is actually really fun when your at 3rd sea or when your max level getting race v4 was preety fun ngl also blox fruits is still updating so it will get better tbh i think blox fruits is better
