Hi Daniel, its Matt and Momo here. You need to do the rest of our rooms please 😂 this is amazing!! ❤️🥰🔥
Thanks again for taking the time to put your amazing creative brain to a thing like this.
The amount of time and effort to produce a video like this in such a short time is amazing. I didn't expect it so soon.
You really didn't disappoint, really smart unique ideas, and the standout attention to detail that you provide, it really feels like these designs are very achievable! We love it!
We will keep you updated on our progress, and hopefully you can eventually see the finished result in person! ☺️

I would like to see a solution for the insulation. You could do an air gapped mimic wall framing fabric or paper to use static air as insulation and the frame can mimic the traditional construction. Or you could do a full wall curtain. And if you want to minimize these changes only do the North wall since that is where most benefit is gained.

Daniel, right now there are some invisible sliding door hardware that are quite elegant and not so pricey and I think is worth checking on next projects for your minimalistic approach. For how much emphasis there was on functionality, it's odd that the finished design removed all the shelf space in the kitchen and the closet near the entrance. Sure, this looks great if you're trying to capture stock photos for a design magazine, but how can anyone actually USE this house? Where do people put their jackets? Where do other appliances like the microwave go?
A lot of thought was put into making the place uncluttered and functional, but the end result isn't practical at all.

    • @psyaiya

4:55 I think you missed the part where he said that the kitchen island built is done with cabinets. It's a bit confusing because the picture shows 8 cabinets but he says 6 cabinets at 600x400mm, and if you're using bar stool seating as depicted which are higher than normal then it might be two layers of 6 cabinets (12 cabinets) for 1200x1200x1600 mm or 2.3 m^3 of storage space. That's plenty of storage space

If this design is for a foreigner, it will work out. For Japanese family, won't work because of the high chairs. Japanese don't like high chair and countertops for eating meals. They rather have a retangular normal size table for meals. Must take in Consideration of the humidity. Molds everywhere.....

I would have a custom Hinoki (Japanese Cypress) counter top made instead.

This is only part of the story (for those interested in why Japan suddenly has a bunch of empty homes available)... This is a really good explanation so you know what you'd be getting into if you want to buy one. Still very worth it though!

As usual, this was a fantastic approach. I love how you used an updated and streamlined version of what's already there. The limewash especially will just make this space stunning.

If I’m not wrong you remove the wardrobe wall and make that works as a hallway. But that seems to measure only 60 cm, which wouldn’t be enough

Keep doing redesign vids, soon enough you wouldn't need to run ads on the channel ISA.

Hi Daniel, I'm very sorry that this videos of yours got less views than your average and I have to admit that I have waited till now before clicking on it. Maybe a thumbnail problem? As a youtuber myself, I might suggest that the thumbnail picture is a bit too crowded than your usual "architect redesigns".
Your design is beautiful. One thing I don't understand is why you chose barn doors over Japanese shoji screens. I assume the barn door is cheaper? Nonetheless shoji screens are such a beautiful and traditional feature in Japanese architectures (quite the opposite of barn doors, in my personal opinion).
