- Hi everyone!
I think that this song fits their personalities like a glove because unlike the society that they're surrounded by at all times, they have their own opinions regarding being independent and having other ideas than the normal life stages at that time.
In the case of Eloise Brigerton, her mother’s dream is for her to get married and start a family (like Daphne), but on the other hand, Eloise’s aspirations and plans for her life are totally different, and she’s not afraid to be vocal about it. She does not want to get married or have a baby and her mother just does not understand and doesn't “take a hint”.
Speaking of Eloise, I know that so many people ship her and Theo but I really really don’t because it stands totally against the point that her character made throughout the entire show so far. She does not display any will to have a partner and be with somebody and even more than that, she's very Opposed to this whole idea of.
And with Kate, she's not against getting married and starting a family, but she is also not trying like the other girls (including her sister) to get her to have soutters. Like Eloise, each in her own way, rebels against the idea of having one course in life and that’s it. They can see that they can do anything man at that time can do and many times even better.

I really tried to make the dialog as loud as I possibly can and I put a lot of work and thought into the making of this video. I replied to everyone who commented about the sound and I asked if there’s a time stamp that they want me to write the dialog but either the answer was no or that there wasn’t one. I worked hard on this video and I felt good about it so if you don’t have anything specific please don’t bring people down :( and also there’s a nice way to say what’s on your mind
Violet’s desire for Eloise to get married is less of a dream for her and more of a necessity to ensure her daughter lives comfortably. Remember, it’s 1814 and Kate even says so herself, “the world is not welcoming to an unmarried woman.”

@@justmakingedits337 of course it’s wrong NOW, but you need to look at a period piece from the perspective of THEN. If you look at Bridgerton from the perspective a modern person, Violet looks like a horrible person when she’s not, she’s trying to ensure her daughter’s future. You can’t always hold a woman in the Regency era to the standards of today.

It’s always crazy to me how young Claudia Jessie looks. She’s 6 years older than Simone Ashley, but when watching it u have no trouble believing that they are 17 and 26 respectively.

@@aeisha6266 Eloise is 32 in real life and Kate is 27 so I guess it’s more like 5 than 6 years. All the actors are weird ages. Nicola who plays Penelope is 35 as well. So the 2 women who are supposed to be the youngest characters are actually the oldest of the younger cast.
Luke Thompson (Benedict) is only a year older than Claudia Jessie, and Luke Newton (Colin) is 3 years younger

I loved series more than book...I just finished book..
The difference between Elojise and Kate is that Kate is kinder to people in general. She is only snarky with people who deserve it, whereas Eloise is judgmental towards people and things she knows nothing about.
Kate comes from a humbler background and has played a big role in nurturing her sister while Eloise has only been in her bubble with her family and Penelope who accept her as she is.
Music was so loud I couldn’t hear the dialogue,shame that it looked good 🤷♀️

I really really appreciate it but I actually meant that if someone had trouble hearing a certain sentence, that they’ll write the time stamp of that specific sentence they couldn’t hear in the comments and I’ll just reply with what the character is saying…English is not my first language so I probably could have written it in a better way haha

I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Men and women think very differently from each other.
I really think that just by being gay/queer/what have you, you automatically have SO much more in common with your partner and a deeper understanding of each other and how you carry yourself through this world than most straight couples could ever even fathom.
A cis straight man and a cis straight woman have infinitely different life experiences and that’s sure to cause more rifts and misunderstandings than couples with shared life experience.
Same sex people can generally understand each other and relate to one another and form better emotional connections. Women form stronger bonds with other women than they do men. So straight people are usually miserable together because they don’t form as deep of bonds.

the color policy is a good thing but it is loosing the fact kate should look like a foreign and her sister edweena not and here you do not mention that.
normally it is a good thing that the actors are casted because of their talent but in this case the problem of this story is missing. why edweena is so great for anthony and why kate is problematic
Edwina is not perfect for Anthony lol. They have nothing in common other than she being the diamond and him the viscount. Anthony needs someone who won’t take any of his s**t and challenges him. That’s why he fell for Siena in season 1. She was also like Kate in a way. If Anthony and Edwina married deep down he would be miserable. In pall mall Kate was having fun whereas Edwina was miserable. Especially when the whole Bridgeton family are competitive and Edwina finds them weird for it. Also, btw Kate is not problematic. If you’re applying she is because she “betrayed” her sister then I also hope you think Anthony’s problematic because making moves on Kate while courting Edwina and proposing to her when he wanted Kate? Nah tbh if anyone more problematic it’s Anthony but these characters are flawed and without their flaws the show would be boring and there would be no character development. They aren’t evil characters but they make mistakes. For example, pen exposing her best friend, etc
@@mariarivadeneira3360 antony searched for a woman that could be a good lady for a wiscount and for his timeline the love he experienced for kate is someting that can't happen to anyone (!it is even rare in ou time!). he had luck that he could meet kate and meet this desire and got a happy ending because in all the novels of that time it would be a tragic love story and having love and maybe his soulmate that he had married, is great but for his timeline edweena was perfect (she was a lady by birth she was good looking and behaved). she had all the thing that he needed from a wife of a viscount and they could be friends and support each other and be good friends. For that time kat was a foreign and asian girl, in a very rasist society. Antony was very brave o mary her, but this is different time period than we know and he needed a wife that is fact
today we can marry by love and be with whom we want but not in the english high society of the 19th century
and i agree he and kate are made for each other and i am respectating anthony who is a viscount mary an idian girl who was adopted. that is really brave for his timeline
@@Evi19Black Just because some of Edwina’s qualities and Anthony’s viscount personality intertwine a bit that doesn’t mean they would’ve been happy together married. Anthony tells his mom when he was courting her that he’s looking for someone who he will have a pleasant life with and that’s it. In the long run, if he married Edwina he would’ve eventually cheated. That doesn’t necessarily mean with Kate but he even tells Kate he will snap one day and cheat on her. And even if Edwina first went into the marriage knowing Anthony isn’t looking for love, she still hoped he would eventually love her but in reality if he did marry her it wouldve bind him and Kate for forever so sure they would’ve had a pleasant life if they married but Edwina would’ve never been happy in a loveless marriage which she clearly did want. Also just because Edwina was bred to marry a man that doesn’t mean Kate can’t marry too because wasn’t Kate the one who taught Edwina everything? The only difference between sisters is one agreeable and the other isn’t. One is naive and the other isn’t. One afraid to speak her mind and the other is a people pleaser. The only issue is those attributes aren’t necessarily accepted in that society. For example, Eloise. She’s been taught from a very young age to be perfect but she doesn’t want it. Same with Kate. She wasn’t interested.
