      I want to know when you pivot to the center of the cue ball, what are you aiming at? Do you aim at the ABC spots on the cue ball?

    • @jerrybryan9159
      @jerrybryan9159 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean ABC spots on the object ball.

      5 years later, and you've probably figured it out yourself, here's an answer just in case. You go down on your shot lined up on a,b, or, c then pivot back to centre and shoot from that position. The pivot back to centre is the last thing you do before the shot.

    Today I watched your CTE aiming videos.... THANK YOU.... !!! Amazing...!!! How does the banking work...? I use it and it works, but I have no idea how.... do you..??? Thanks again.... works really well.... !!!

      You are correct and I even don't know why banking works and I play mostly on an 8 ft table, not regulation.

    Hi Hb,
    Thanks for making my game better. I believe Ronnie O’Sullivan is using some kind of CTE. It’s his confidence, speed and exactness that make me suspect that. How do I get my hands on CTE Pro? I get it that you have simplified CTE but your videos are fragmented and all over the place and I don’t know what sequence of your videos do I follow. Please help.

    @Howard Berger "The AB and C is always facing you", what the heck does that mean? You can pivot the object ball 180 degrees and you could arbitrary choose any point in the table and it will still face you. Didn't you mean ab and c should always be facing the cueball?

    • @howardberger3676
      @howardberger3676  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      15deg- A, 30 deg-B and 45 deg-C are facing your CB. Depending on the OB's angle to the pocket, you aim at A, B or C and then pivot to CCB and shoot! Traditional CTE has two visual lines.....CCB to OBE and the prior aiming..(note that those line never cross)

    When you say left side cue ball. Do you mean left edge of the cue ball or just left of center cue ball? Then how much left. When teaching you should be very exact with your language. I’m not trying to be picky as I really want to learn the system. Thanks for your videos.

    • @howardberger3676
      @howardberger3676  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aiming from the CB is always 1/2
      tip offset either side from CCB to AB or C then pivot toCCB and shoot!

    Very confusing. 1st you said the ABC will always be facing you then you proceed to place the object ball against the rail with the ABC facing opposite the hole not facing cue ball. ??

    • @Lp3393jp
      @Lp3393jp 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very good question everyone who begins with this system is confused but is facing you because is how you estimates the angle

    Yours differs greatly from Stan Shuffet--- which I don't see mentioned anywhere--- for example -- the abc on the object ball he specifically explains that those letters always point back to the cue ball (not pointing to pocket like you do).... is this on purpose? or is this what you mean that it's your 'style'? The biggest problem I have in trying to make sense of Stan's videos is that he never explains how the pocket -- or angle to pocket makes any difference from shot to shot outside selecting a letter (a b c)... which to me only get's you within 15 degrees of accuracy. Thanks so much for your videos and any answers you can provide for clarity.

    • @howardberger3676
      @howardberger3676  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its true that the OB facing you has shot line perception of A, B or C. Each shot line (depending on the OB angle to the pocket basically means its a 15 degree or 30 degree (even 45) angle to pocket the ball. Most shots you make are 15 or 30 degrees. Trying use manual pivots and then naturally move into the shot to see which is best for you and keep an eye out for another video which I will try again to bring clarity......CTE does really work.

      Yes. The ABC point directly to the cue ball. He's just pointing them at the camera to explain.

    • @jamesalcaraz8729
      @jamesalcaraz8729 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mmafightcoach geez that's what Howard should have just said, ab and c will always face the cue ball.

    Would it be possible to show a more detailed example of how you are lining up a shoot.

    • @howardberger3676
      @howardberger3676  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If your more advanced you could (if your left eye dominant) place your left leg behind the CB and place you thumb and forefinger about 6 inches from the CB and that is you line up. You can measure or just shoot depending on your skills.

    • @Michael-ii5dz
      @Michael-ii5dz 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Does ABC stay in line with the pocket, B always center pocket? Or does ABC face the cue ball with B lining up center cue ball? Hard to tell from video.

    • @carlenquist9210
      @carlenquist9210 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Michael-ii5dz that's one of my questions too. Because when the object ball was turned so the the A, B and C were on the opposite side from the pocket then the C that was suppose to be the target was completely out of site from the cue balls point of view! I'm pretty sure the the A, B and C's should face the cue ball and be more on a horizontal line parallel with the table and exactly the center of the ball (1 and 1/8" off the table)

    You do a better job than any one else on TH-cam explaining the CTE method. However, it is very hard to get the entire picture because you assume that the viewer knows the basics of the sweep/pivot. Can you please make another video zoomed out showing how you approach the ball and explain some of the basics? Thank you!

      Maybe you could check some of my other video's (ie) CTE Finally Explained. Its tough to get a right mix of setup, aiming and pocketing balls for a WIDE range of players......thx! HB
