This is a good video & I think more channels need to focus more on this issue with charging than road trips because this has more of an impact on whether someone is going to buy an EV or not.

We need to encourage 20a 240v circuits in every parking spot. That’s the most practical charger for most people

Max - thank you for this video, but more broadly, thanks and congrats on your ever-improving video quality! You clearly think through/outline/semi-script each video so that they are concise, logical and incredibly watchable. Also, the camera work is always spot on with easy to read screen-recordings, well composed shots, not a bunch of glare and exposure problems present in other phone-shot work from OOS Studios (cough, looking at you, Kyle😉). Please keep up the great work, ask for a raise immediately, and thank you for helping so many people learn more about the EV experience.

When we bought our condo here in FoCo, we required a Lectron Level 2 charger be installed as part of our offer. For the cost of the installation, we were allowed a charger to be installed prior to closing.

Multi unit dwellings can install inexpensive 120V outlets and monetize them with either Plugzio or Orange Outlet. Most drivers can replenish their typical day with 120V charging overnight, or at least top up until the weekend. My parking garage just did this and it’s great. While level-2 is ideal at home, level-1 isn’t terrible. My Hyundai Kona receives about 5 miles per hour on level-1 or about 60 miles overnight.

120V outlets are great if you're using an outlet that just happens to already be there.
But, once you're going through the trouble of paying an electrician to install special outlets for purpose of EV charging, I'm not sure you're really saving that much by using 120V rather than 240V. If 10 kW puts too much stress on the electrical system, you can throttle the amps, but no need to reduce to 120 Volts.

Free charging at businesses sounds nice, except that when it's free, it's going to get clogged up by people who do have home charging and don't need it, which, in turn, means that people who lack home charging and really do need it cannot depend on it. When you really need to charge your car, a paid charger is much more likely to be available than a free charger.

My Condo HOA just recently adopted charging policy. I don't currently have plans to install one because I can charge at work. We have free and paid chargers there and while half of them are normally blocked by non-charging EVs or gas cars, I usually get my chance to charge during the week.

J1772 will be phased out as the Tesla connector, now called NACS, has been opened to the public hopefully in the next 4-5 years all chargers will be NACS and only the older EVs (mine included) will have to use adapters.

I just want more chargers, so many videos seem to advocate for idle fees and that just seems irritating, sometimes people just can’t make it back right on time.

then pay the fee. you are making someone else wait.

This is why I still drive a regular car. I don’t want to deal with this.

It is simple - if you can't charge at home, don't buy an EV.

Get a gas powered car! Why have a headache you don’t need?

This video explained that it really isn’t a headache and is only getting better. Since you clicked on this video and engaged with it you will probably get more videos that explain why people like them.

Gas cars not going away soon. There are just options now. Apartment dwellers just need to wait for Aptera to start producing. Charging will be less of an issue with this machine.

I just got an EV 3 months ago. Its not been a headache for me and I have no home charging. I charge at work with the rare occasion the need to charge at a public charger near my home. With 100% public charging i pay around $9 a week. When I had a gas car I was paying $70+($90+ when I had my Charger) a week. EVs are not for everyone. Did some long trips too. Charging during long trips did not add too much time.
