Thats one good thing about the German sync :D Obi-Wan and Anakin have been voiced by the Same actor through Episode 1-3 and Clone wars and The Clone Wars :D
Alec Guinness is probably one of the greatest actors ever. I'm not just saying that because he was Obi Wan. During the production of the first Star Wars movie while people were losing faith in the project, Lucas was going over budget, certain special effects weren't working, equipment wasn't working, the overwhelming amount of stress, arguing, and just general lack of professionalism from the members of the cast. and crew, and the looming threat of having the entire project cancelled, Alec Guinness was said to have maintained constant professionalism, never complained, and never lost his cool. He was the only one who actually took the job seriously. It's ironic considering he said he hated Star Wars and that it was a terrible experience. It was supposedly his idea to kill off Obi Wan in IV because he couldn't stand it anymore, and that even years later he would be very hostile and lash out at fans when they would ask him about Star Wars.
In my opinion, the Anakin vs Obi Wan was one of the best scenes in Star Wars. It was truly heartbreaking and that's what made it so amazing. The 2 actors did a great job.
It's crazy how fast the atmosphere changed when Ser Alec Guinness' voice lines were played, the feeling tbat emanates from the original trilogy is simply impeccable, we won't be getting that from Star Wars now, not anymore...
When really listening to every little detail during the Battle of Heroes Obi Wans lines just hits different. He’s freaking broken to see his damn near brother and friend becoming something he’s not. You can hear how Obi Wan literally lost everything. His love, his (almost) brother and Ahsoka as they did became very great friends. The entire Star Wars story isn’t just excitement from the franchise, it’s really a full fledged tragedy story. Anakin lost it all, but regained a lot later, Obi Wan lost everything and gained nothing, and sadly so did Ahsoka losing everyone she ever cared about. I just really had to point it out, cause... well i’m crying when watching those scenes.😭
Stephan Stanton did a really nice Oldbi Wan Kenobi voice. Sounded much like Alec Guinness. I always felt a sense of safety and strength whenever I selected Obi Wan in Empire at War and he’d speak a line.
Alec Guinness, James Arnold Taylor, and Ewan McGreggor will always be the greats. And obviously Seth Green deserves a spot for his outstanding performance filled with many lulz.
I do not like the voice of Scott Cleverdon as Obi-Wan. I do like David Davies however, he sounds very much like Sir Alec Guinness. I do not like Lewis Macleod because he makes Obi-Wan sound as if he is in pain all the time. James Arnold Taylor did great, for me it is really hard to distinguish his voice from that of Ewan McGregor. Stephen Stanton I like because he again sounds like Sir Alec Guinness. Nick Jameson not so much. Seth Green doesn't have it. Of course Sir Alec Guinness was the first and arguably the best (at least in my opinion). The two or three before him sucked. Ewan McGregor is the other side of that argument for the best voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi. My personal favorite is Ewan McGregor.
1: James Arnold Taylor (Star Wars: The Clone Wars is/was my all-time favourite TV series. Also, he did an amazing job) 2: Sir Alec Guinness (Iconic and really good, despite the fact that he hated the role) 3: Ewan McGregor (Excellent job, but on the level just below Taylor and Guinness) 4: Scott Cleverdon (Sounds a bit like Ewan McGregor) 5: Nick Jameson (OK, I guess) 6: Stephen Stanton (Just too gritty, not eloquent like Guinness) 7: David Davies (Sounds like he's trying to combine Taylor with Guinness, with lackluster results) 8: Seth Green (Overshadowed in those specials by Seth Macfarlane as the Emperor) 9: David Scott (I HATE the LEGO Star Wars cartoons) 10: Sam Vincent (I still hate them) 11: Michael Donovan (I genuinely hate the people who had the balls to come up with the LEGO Star Wars cartoons) 12: Lewis Macleod (Worst possible choice to voice Obi-Wan)

4:48: Revenge of the Sith came out in 2005, not 2006.
I noticed that too
1. Alec Guinness2. Ewan McGreggor3. James Arnold Taylor

Big CW fan here :)
Same, but a big Episode 4 fan too!JayJayFan
Stephen Stanton does the best Alex Guinness impression
1: Guiness mostly because he was the original
Joint 2nd are James Arnold Taylor and Ewan McGregor
1.Alec Guinness
2.Ewan McGreggor
3.James Arnold taylor
I agree
Kalvin Johnston I feel like Ewan would've been a better Obi Wan if he'd had a better script because sometimes it sounds like Alec wasn't even trying
JazzyPrince333 bump the other two up and put Alec at 3 for me personally
Ewan McGregor
James Arnold Taylor
Sir Alec Guiness
Ewan McGregor, Alec Guinness, and James Arnold Taylor will forever be best Obi Wan Kenobi for me, who else agrees 👍
Ewan McGregor has the most defined and recognizable voice. Almost everyone will think of the Obi Wan from Episode 3 when asked about Obi Wan.
James Arnold Taylor and Ewan are pretty damn good
My very favorite voice of Obi-Wan is Alec Guinness because he did fantastic voicing him in Star Wars.
And I also like Ewan McGregor's voice as Ben Kenobi. Plus, James Arnold Taylor and Stephen Stanton use their weird voices.
Most of them good. You can't beat the genuine Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor original especially Alec's voice.
Did any of you guys know Ewan McGregor returned in a voice cameo in The Force Awakens?
ye
They took his voice when he said afraid and they made it to Rey . So not really .
+poptropica105087 that was Alec Guiness Ewan recorded "you have taken your first steps"
yes !! and I hope he appears more in ep vii !!
0:33
He sounds like he has a cold
LOL
I'm a bit disappointed you didn't have even one "Hello there."
I Love 3 of them. James Arnold Taylor, Ewan McGreggor and Alec Guinness all the way all the of them!!!
Metabreaker I agree completely
And Seth Green for Comedy
1: James Arnold Taylor (Star Wars: The Clone Wars is/was my all-time favourite TV series. Also, he did an amazing job)
2: Sir Alec Guinness (Iconic and really good, despite the fact that he hated the role)
3: Ewan McGregor (Excellent job, but on the level just below Taylor and Guinness)
4: Scott Cleverdon (Sounds a bit like Ewan McGregor)
5: Nick Jameson (OK, I guess)
6: Stephen Stanton (Just too gritty, not eloquent like Guinness)
7: David Davies (Sounds like he's trying to combine Taylor with Guinness, with lackluster results)
8: Seth Green (Overshadowed in those specials by Seth Macfarlane as the Emperor)
9: David Scott (I HATE the LEGO Star Wars cartoons)
10: Sam Vincent (I still hate them)
11: Michael Donovan (I genuinely hate the people who had the balls to come up with the LEGO Star Wars cartoons)
12: Lewis Macleod (Worst possible choice to voice Obi-Wan)
Ewan Mcgregor is such an amazing actor...
Lewis Macleod sounds like Obi-Wan with a heavy cold
lego star wars TCS obi wan: "Hm."
