I highly recommend watching the pre race activity that is featured on other uploads of this race on here before watching this version of the race. You’ll learn a lot and get an idea of how things were feeling prior to this race starting. FOX did an an excellent job with their pre race coverage.
Algorithm sent me this because of my recent views of DJD and I swear I can’t even begin to fathom what he was feeling. Had to be tough first race back after Sr died. NASCAR ain’t the same and Dale would FLIP TF OUT if he was to see what’s come of DEI
They seem to cut out certain audio, they take out DW's "I don't think it was meant for Dale Jr. to run this race today" comment after he crashed in the opening laps. I'd rather watch other uploads of this.
2:12:47-2:13:07 I do not know why, but these 2 Dodge cars were always my favorites. Just seeing them side by side gives me an aesthetically pleasing sight.
Just a good example of how hard those concrete walls were before the safer barriers. Jr hit several cars before hitting the wall and it was still a rough hit.
Shit, this is creepy. Wrecked on lap 3.. crashed and stopped in the same area but different track, that his dad did the week before. The show the cam and it looks just like SR sitting there.
5:00 I never realized Mike Joy's voice audibly broke when he acknowledged Gordon's class act of backing off to leave the pole position open.
This is the first race without the great Dale Earnhardt. The world of racing changed this week.
You can hear the sorrow in all of their voices. Larry McReynolds. Mike Joy. And Darrel Waltrip.
I miss Steve Park. His yellow Pennzoil will always be iconic imo. That one crash really changed him for the worse....
More like 3 crashes

Me too.
Might he have CTE?
I miss when the TV network gave a shit about the starting lineup
And qualifying and practice! Nascar does a horrible job getting people excited for a race weekend now!
You can feel the gut punch when Junior crashes.
And he had to start right next to the car #40 car, I forgot about that
@@bryonkidder6199 Only misguided fans think the #40 had anything to do with Dale's mental state.
I heard it myself!! In color!!
3:12:55 "Brought tears to my eyes" 😥 I feelya Steve!

I Have Both Days From The February Rockingham Race With Original Commercials
Dale Sr:"Shame that I wasn't around when my boys win"
I forgot how much Ward Burton sounds like Boomhauer. Not that that's a bad thing mind you.
I love them Burton boys. And the Earnhardts too of course

He didn’t the next day!
I feel so bad for Dale Junior on that one he hit the wall the exact same angle as his father did the week before that race
Jr said he was embarrassed because it looked so similar to Dales wreck.
Reading the description of the video is hilarious
"We at NASCAR no longer support freedom of speech"
0:21 That’s MRN Radio
1st race without #3...........
Things would change from here.
This race couldn't have ended much better.
Eerily reminiscent of how his dad hit the wall in Daytona
15:42 i was ready to packup and go home .
Dale Jr's car hit the wall the same way his dad's did when he got killed. Crazy!
being tight at rockingham must be HELL

3:49 "and the Winston Cup debut of Kevin Harvick"
Wonder how his career went after this race.
Look at he grand stand rain, now look at the grandstand at .....what ever race track.
Was such a somber year.
Just a good example of how hard those concrete walls were before the safer barriers. Jr hit several cars before hitting the wall and it was still a rough hit.
Poor Dale Jr. He was me mentally checked out from the get go; I would've been too😔
It was like nobody wanted to be there that week
The 1st race without Dale Earnhardt
Best era of Cup.
Ward got it from David and Dick had his cigarette lighter
2:58 Jeanie Zelasko’s odd orgasmic sound…🤔
who's here after NASCAR announced that they would be coming back to the Rockingham speedway after years of pulling out
I forgot jr crashed on the first lap, thought it was farther into the race!
Shit, this is creepy. Wrecked on lap 3.. crashed and stopped in the same area but different track, that his dad did the week before. The show the cam and it looks just like SR sitting there.
I really feel for Jerry nadeau he had a lot of winning to do before he got hurt
This track was such a gem,sad nascar has sold out so many great tracks chasing money.
I flat miss the the Rock 🪨 / bring back Nascar/ I know u beauty tracks/ u take those beauty tracks !@#%^&*👎
Rockingham, 190 MPH,.MRN.
Oops, they said Darlington. They're at Rockingham.
I miss dale
