Pinky mount is also a 3 Part drop you need to get exciting tonic to drop 3 times in the treasure map RNG then exchange them for it, making it far more annoying.
Regarding the "Fallen Angel Wings" and the "Wyvern Mount" You can calculate the time investment to acquire these two things via Bi-color Gemstone grinding. Ultimately, it will take you (if you work efficiently and with a few other dedicated players) as little as 200 hours per item, totaling 400 hours of hard grinding to acquire both the Horn and the Wings. Realistically, if you are solo grinding, this can extend your time by an additional 150 (roughly) hours per item. If you are a casual player and time is all you have, then you can see these items falling (all together) into your lap within about a month of grind work. But, most people don't have all the time in the world, and so it will generally take them much longer to obtain them. This is why it's good to set up a "Bi-color Gemstone Farming Party" every time you want to start farming. The more people you have with you farming, the faster the grind will go. You should also take care in measuring the amount of Bi-color Gemstones you acquire over a "3 hour period", as you can roughly acquire 1,000 Bi-color Gemstones in about this time with hard work and persistence. But, the map on which you choose to grind these things also plays a factor, and certain maps are remarkably poor at generating Bi-color Gemstones, as the FATEs simply don't spawn as frequently on certain maps as they do on others. Lastly, with a full party of 8 players, you will eventually start completing FATEs faster than they can generate, and so it is considered "optimal" to simply teleport to another map and continue grinding there. Whenever I run Bi-color Gemstone farms, I make it clear that players who want to farm the FATEs for their "Shared FATEs" grind and people who simply want to do FATEs for the sake of leveling their jobs are also welcome, as any excuse to increase my party size will only benefit everyone else in the party as well. It's unquestionably a Win-win-win situation, the larger your party is for this grind.
I find it hilarious how expensive the red onion helmet has gotten. I got one in Heavensward from my retainers through quick ventures on several occasions. It even was so common that the average price on the MB was 5k at one point.

Cassie Earring was extremely expensive and rarely sold on the AH in FFXI as well. Working my way through Stormblood now, I keep hearing Eureka has a lot of XI references and I’m stoked.

Man I really wanted that Fugly raptor because collector reasons. I ran at least 20 raids so far and my friend who just did his second run got it and my god I malded. Thankfully if it drops again he said he would give it too me if I don't get it by then. I swear FF14 just loves to rain on you.

Onion Knights are a class from FF Tactics. Only the small race can become them and they have an insane amount of skills all at highest tiers. You have to drag your character through levels of dragoon, paladin, white mage, black mage, red mage, fighter... The lore of Onion Knight is they are the strongest most skilled and gifted lalafel.
They really need to make the quick venture exclusive items obtainable by another means. The untradable/unsellable ones especially. I want my Onion Doublet set, dang it ;w;
I got a Red Onion Helm from Quick Explorations of my Retainers recently. I almost turned it in for GC Seals before thinking it looked kinda special and I never seen the name before. I wonder how many players who don't know about it may have done the same. Either way, extremely rare and lucky to get from a venture.

Would personally also add "Egg Harness" on the list, last one I saw on my server was sold for 40m last year and none listed since. Based on Universalis the last purchase that happened for this thing on Aether was 2 months ago on Gilgamesh for 500mil. Hell it is so rare I just checked all the NA Servers through Universalis and there is only ONE listing for 1,049,999,999 gil. I know for the longest time it was not available and even on the event where it debuted it required some RNG to acquire.
This list helps remind you that xiv is indeed an mmo. Well just playing the game doesn’t take a tonne of time compared to alot of other mmos. There are some insane grinds or insane rng drops if you look for them. Some of the achievement rewards in xiv are ridiculous in how long they can take, especially if you go out of your way to grind them. (Like alot of the hunt mounts for instance)

I'm sure someone else has pointed this out at this point, but you stated that you needed to win a roll on #10 (raptor mount) and #9 (cassie earrings) - both of which are personal drops. You don't compete for them :) I'm a bit of a FFXIV completionist, and can give you some insight on the drop rates for both. The Deinonychus is awarded from the final chest in the Dalriada... raid? Engagement? That thing that pops up in Zadnor. Did the achievement string for Dalriada for 50 clears and walked away with 2 of the mounts. Which based on other achievement hunters' accounts, this is pretty typical. I'd say that the Lyon Field Note II that drops in there is probably a bit lower drop rate (though you can guarantee that one by completing the duel). As for the Cassie Earrings - whooo boy. I did most of my Pagos Crystal / Pagos Light grinding on Cassie and KA (Crab) - for every single Eureka weapon. 8500 Pagos Crystals in total - So we're talking somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 times that I killed it and I walked away with 2 sets of earrings. But I have been informed that my luck was astoundingly good - there are people who had to clear several *thousand* kills before they saw their first drop (Those people who stick around in Eureka even after they are done with all of their relic weapons are a different level of crazy)

Actually, you can. Same with the other 1.0 armors and accessories. The odds are just astronomically low, given it’s all in the 1-50 pool. People keep claiming they’re unobtainable purely because the odds are so stupidly low, but people keep getting that lucky roll to prove it’s still obtainable.

Red Onion Helm is a nice status symbol but not as awesome as the normal Blue onion helm or the Peregrine Helm. Those two helms can glam with everything.
Just a small note: it's not the Pinky mount itself that drops from the Excitatron 6000, but the Exciting Tonic you need to trade 3 of to the NPC in Radz-at-Han to buy it. Also, you kind of forgot the Wind-up Philos and Wind-up Aidoneus minions, which drop from the instance that can be opened by Ophiotauroskin maps.

Pretty much every old event reward that is tradable is worth an obscene amount of gil, be it gear, housing stuff or bardings etc Also sometimes now useless und unobtainable items like the elemental materia are seen for anything between a few thousands and a few million gil on the MB
All items in bozja and eureka go to player directly , there is no rolling on loot, dont know if only one item will per fate to one random person or just your rng with the loot chance.

Omg, finally someone saying how ugly the dino mount is. Never got the Cassie earring in all my Eureka grinding, gave up on that one. All the rare map rewards are stupid low chance anymore, esp the newer ones, since higher floors just don't seem to spawn as often as pre EW, I get SE wants us to grind these out, but after so many tries with no luck, it's very discouraging. Starlight Barding can be purchased on mog station for $7. The most expensive item on mb is actually not even purchasable, since the lister of the item set the price at gil cap, which makes it impossible to purchase, considering mb tax, so it's more to show off and can't actually be purchased. It is an old event item that's no longer available by any means, not even on mog station. And idk about the gil mounts, they appear as 25m to me, for the ronka one, rest are 50m from npc.
Red Onion Elm is so cool on Lala, I bought it, I have no idea why now there is many on market and cost only 1 million, I bought it for 25m I think or 20, something like that.

There are people out there with 999,999,999 gil on 10 retainers and their alts. Very few people have that much. Absolutely insane. They claim to have done it legitimately in 3-4 years time. It is crazy the cost of items. The fate grind (7,000 fates) for two items is too much. It is as bad as the Hunts. MMOs need more realistic targets and not ones only "full time players", account sharing, or botting will get.

Gil isn't that difficult to get at the moment. All you have to do is farm purple scrips for the control X materia. If you spent a month farming purple scrips, then you would be swimming in gil haha

I have everything but Paramour barding which people try to sell for 250 000 000 to 700 000 000 gil on our servers.. I am just waiting for it to come to the cash shop xD Also, I think recent items are always bit more prizy (like Pinky), but it's not their standard prize. While Cassie always goes around 20 mil, Deino mount (which I got 4 of them, I manage to sell, for 4 mil, 9 mil, 14 mil, and 20 mil - all depends on current content and how many people are engaging in Bozja. But Onion Knight Helm is a rare thingy :)
mark my words the markets in ffxiv are slowly being trashed on purpose the inflation of pricing on low end items is a prime example . its ppl tryng to slow the game to a grind crawl burning players out and causing it to lose players . this is not the 1st time it's been tried and wont be the last and if ignored will end up no different then other games
What pisses me off about all this is that there will be the most minimal grinds in the game at the forefront of the gameplay, requiring little to no effort. Then for the most random mundane item they want you to spend like half your year trying to complete it. Relic weapons get instantly finished, but submarines? More than half a year. Hunt mounts? Dedicate your life to it. Fishing? Yeah capture like 1000 for this title. There's no in between lol its either braindead straightforward or the most grueling experience.
Luckily I just sold my Paramour Barding a week and a half ago! (for 67mil) cuz now it's on the Mog Station 😂 phew! I have one unlocked but also got another copy when I saw it for cheap on the MB and kept it in storage. Finally decided to sell it.

With the Red Onion helm you can get it from quick ventures however it has a ridiculously 1 in 30,000+ drop chance.
The first mount there is modeled from a mob in FF11 so a lot of old 11 players love it for that.
Especially because it's now one of the easier mounts to get in 11; compared to the Chocobo.

I'd say the 2000 mentor roulette grind is kinda nutty if you count the grind for comms and doing every duty in the game to unlock the roulette.

The golden mounts are all 50mil sold by NPC onlt the vessel is 25mil also sold by the same npc

Never got the Cassie earring in all my Eureka grinding, gave up on that one.
All the rare map rewards are stupid low chance anymore, esp the newer ones, since higher floors just don't seem to spawn as often as pre EW, I get SE wants us to grind these out, but after so many tries with no luck, it's very discouraging.
Starlight Barding can be purchased on mog station for $7.
The most expensive item on mb is actually not even purchasable, since the lister of the item set the price at gil cap, which makes it impossible to purchase, considering mb tax, so it's more to show off and can't actually be purchased. It is an old event item that's no longer available by any means, not even on mog station.
And idk about the gil mounts, they appear as 25m to me, for the ronka one, rest are 50m from npc.

Red Onion Elm is so cool on Lala, I bought it, I have no idea why now there is many on market and cost only 1 million, I bought it for 25m I think or 20, something like that.
what i found helpful is chaos data center is expensive as heck... most prices here is 50% of XD
sometimes people go crazy on the market and that's the beauty of having it open to anyone, not like we have much need for gil other than vanity anyways 😂 btw cassie earring like most rare drops is personal loot, still very low chance but not a bid with other players at least. Also the pinky should be the Elpis maps, not excitatron but could be both idk
I haven’t been back to Eureka: Pagos in a while cause I’m trying to finish out my Relic Weapon and currently trying to farm out Hydatos crystals and soon Provenance Watcher scales. But, Cassie is a crazy farm on my server
unlike the others the Cassie is the only one what effect gameplay and if you want to have the bis in Eureka you need to use it :D
Only thing I got is the Red Onion Helm which I got for a STEAL apparently at 7.9 million a while ago. I do also have the OG Onion Helm but that one is extra special ^_^

There are people out there with 999,999,999 gil on 10 retainers and their alts. Very few people have that much. Absolutely insane. They claim to have done it legitimately in 3-4 years time. It is crazy the cost of items. The fate grind (7,000 fates) for two items is too much. It is as bad as the Hunts. MMOs need more realistic targets and not ones only "full time players", account sharing, or botting will get.

Gil isn't that difficult to get at the moment. All you have to do is farm purple scrips for the control X materia. If you spent a month farming purple scrips, then you would be swimming in gil haha

Also, I think recent items are always bit more prizy (like Pinky), but it's not their standard prize.
While Cassie always goes around 20 mil, Deino mount (which I got 4 of them, I manage to sell, for 4 mil, 9 mil, 14 mil, and 20 mil - all depends on current content and how many people are engaging in Bozja.
But Onion Knight Helm is a rare thingy :)

mark my words the markets in ffxiv are slowly being trashed on purpose the inflation of pricing on low end items is a prime example . its ppl tryng to slow the game to a grind crawl burning players out and causing it to lose players . this is not the 1st time it's been tried and wont be the last and if ignored will end up no different then other games
What pisses me off about all this is that there will be the most minimal grinds in the game at the forefront of the gameplay, requiring little to no effort. Then for the most random mundane item they want you to spend like half your year trying to complete it. Relic weapons get instantly finished, but submarines? More than half a year. Hunt mounts? Dedicate your life to it. Fishing? Yeah capture like 1000 for this title. There's no in between lol its either braindead straightforward or the most grueling experience.
18 or 20m seems reasonable for the Red Onion. On my realm it sells for 50M atm which is stupid.
