    Hey, nice video ! I just received a Zenit TTL but I think there is a problem. The iso ring turns for nothing, there is non clicking sound so I can’t select the iso. Is that because there is a missing part ?

    • @GabrielFotografo35
      @GabrielFotografo35  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thanks! Yes, it can be a missing part. Inside the iso ring is a small metal piece that jumps over small slots making the clicking sound.

    Hi! thanks for this video! I have this camera. but I can't find the "button cell" that you insert at the beginning of the video. its the battery? camera won't work without it?

    • @GabrielFotografo35
      @GabrielFotografo35  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi! Gladd you like it! Yes, the button cel is the battery. It will power only the exposure meter, that commonly doesn't work in most Zenit old cameras. You can download some app for metering the exposure from your cell phone. Anyway I think you can find the battery in any marketplace. Originally was the PX625 mercury 1.35v battery but is not available these days, so you can replace it with a 625A type, 1.5 v as the one in the video. Will work properly. Chers!

    I have the exact same camera but I'm missing the part that closes the backside, what should I do?

    • @GabrielFotografo35
      @GabrielFotografo35  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a very bad issue. Maybe you can search other cheap broken camera that has the part to complete yours. Look on ebay or other marketplace in your country.

    Need some help i got that button up with the film in it is this a problem???

    • @GabrielFotografo35
      @GabrielFotografo35  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, you mean the button with the crank? Yes, could be a problem because it won't be possible to rewind the film when finished, and can't tight the film after loading. If the button was down before loading film, maybe the problem is in the film cartridge.

    Hey, I wanted to ask if the ring on the left where you choose the ISO (DIN) does something? or is it just for you to remember

    • @GabrielFotografo35
      @GabrielFotografo35  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, it's the speed film selector that should match the ISO of the film.

      @@GabrielFotografo35 hello! Thanks for the video its very helpful (im using Zenit TTL too) I wanna ask is it okay if i didnt setting the film selector to matched the ISO of the film im using in? Will it affect the result? Thank you!

    • @GabrielFotografo35
      @GabrielFotografo35  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chikatatzkia7412 Hi! If you didn't select the correct ISO, then you will expose in a different sensitivity resulting either over or under exposure. You can do so but will be necessary to inform to the film developer the ISO you used to expose the film, so it will allow to develop correctly.

    i don't have a battery cover, can it work without a battery and where could i find a cover?

    • @GabrielFotografo35
      @GabrielFotografo35  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, yes, you can operate your camera without battery using instead a photometry app downloaded in your cellphone. To find a cover, you will have to be very lucky to find one, look in the downtown of big cities on old photo stores, or searching in ebay or similar in your country. Good luck and thanks for watching!

    Is it okay when you set your shutter speed without winding first?

    • @GabrielFotografo35
      @GabrielFotografo35  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Andrew, Yes, it's okay. Both Speed and Aperture can be set in any moment, and of course will apply only in the picture taken after setting. It doesn't matter if the film has been winded or not.

    • @andrewcen9510
