Awesome presentation thanks mate liked and subbed. My first ever camera was a zenit TTL but I hadn't a clue about cameras back then so I used to pretend to take pix never even had a film in it. I'm back to shooting film quite a bit now and into old cameras which I'm loving. Been looking for a TTL locally in New Zealand nothing yet however I've just bid on a Zenit 12XP just love the old industrial look of these Zenits.
Thanks a lot for the comment! I hope you win the bid! Praktica cameras are also weird and heavy and a step up from Zenit, they are also worth taking a look.
@@pedrogabrielmejia6093 cheers mate I was a big Minolta user in the day started with the 7000 had an X700 which I regret selling and actually still have the dynax 9 love it to bits recorded a vid on my chan about that beast I just adore it. I’ll keep an eye out for an XE now too cheers mate you’re costing me money 😂😂😂📷❤️📷
Вы правы, зенит TTL имеет более классический вид: металлический блестящий рычаг автоспуска с кнопкой... Остальным модели: 12 и TTL не отличаются. Я снимаю зенитом TTL с 1978 года...
really good video!! my grandpa got the 12x zenit in the 80s and it was my mom’s in the 90s and now it’s mine!! I love it so much I just need to clean the lens tho, and also I got a polaroid🥺
I love to hear this kind of family stories, because they make a norma camera no longer a normal one, but one that is valuable for you! If the lens is very far gone, you can buy any other m42 lens for it. There are great cheap lenses out there. There is also new available film for the polaroid 600 and spectra cameras i believe, it it manufactured by Polaroid, which used to be the Impossible Projec. There is a channel called Analog Resurgence, he speaks in great detail abou polaroid cameras and films, worth to take a look.
Hello! I need some help. I have a zenit TTL. It has no film in it. I hav no idea about cameras so I was playing with it touching random buttons. I kept turning the little lever for the thing with 0-5-10-15..-36 numbers on it. Now the lever won't turn any more. Do you know if I can fix it?
Hello. I think you were moving the film counter that is atached to the afvance lever. Try to press the shooter of the camera ad see If it releases. If ot releases, the lever will free up.
@@pedrogabrielmejia6093 It worked!! Thank you so so much I thought I had broken it..! Your video is amazing, by the way, it helped me a lot to get to know the camera a little better!! Bravo!
Hello dear Artem. I have not tested that feature yet, but i have heard it is sensitive, and that with normal 1,5v batteries, the lightmeter throws incorrect values. What i do is to take a clip or a conductive cable, conect it to the positive and negative terminals of the battery, completing the circuit and draining power out of it. I take my multimeter and measure the voltage in the cell until it reaches 1.35v, then i stop discharging the cell and i load the battery in the camera. I think this method works. Hope it helps! Any other doubt, write me back.
Pedro Gabriel Mejia thank you kindly! I was thinking between buying a zenit ttl or a zenit 12, and I’m pretty sure I’ll get the 12 cause it works with normal alkaline batteries that are readily available.
Неожиданно видеть что нашу русскую камеру используют зарубежом 😮 Сам кстати снимаю на неё и кайфую 🎉
Очень приятно ❤
Привет из России с любовью.

Is the zenit TTL voltage sensitive?
As in will the exponometre work normally with 1,5 volt alkaline batteries?

Hello, it depends on the availability at your country, but they are not expensive cameras, maybe 10 tp 20 USD tops, paying more is not worth.
