heyyyyy guys!! thank you all for watching! art block is no fun, so I hope this helped you guys out, and if you have any tips make sure to comment them down below!!💖
I bake whenever I'm blocked. I love trying out new recipes and one of my ocs really loves baking too so whenever I do it I just feel like drawing him. I really love your channel!
Driving nowhere (if you have a car) while listening to music helps me SO MUCH it’s amazing. And even finding places and routes back home you’ve never been is so inspiring
Its nice to remind myself that the artists i look up to struggle with the same things that I do. It makes me feel like less of a "failure" (cant think of a better word) as an artist, so thank you! Also i love your technique when drawing these horse, the lines really give the animals life and makes them feel like theyre actually there!!
I was dealing with art block I was going to take a break probably should have but still inktober came and I started doing that it helped a lot (i don’t know how) it was less stress there where props and I just sketched ideas not caring and then finishing it later a lot of stress was gone and I started have fun ❤ I don’t if it will work for others but it help me
thank you for this vid! I’m drowning in artblock because of the backlash of my second year in art school, to the point of having panic attacks. a few studies and good music and it’ll get better soon :>
I recently started a job and I feel like since I started I have this depression bubble around me... 😓 going through a lot and that doesn't help either. Thank you for making this video. Always helps listening to other artists..
Something that has helped me with art a lot is definitely going to the gym. I used to feel awful and fatigued all the time, and I was so sick of feeling like that all the time that I got a gym membership and in like 2 weeks my mood had greatly improved and with it, I felt that the art block that I had looming over my head for MONTHS slowly peeling away. Im aware that this solution isn't for everyone because of different circumstances. But if possible I Greatly recommend it! It boosts your mental and physical health and thats always good for your art 🤍🤍
The thing that brings me the feeling of not wanting to draw even though I love it is that the tablet I use is small and not suitable for drawing, and my inability to buy a procreate or charge a studio clip to draw well and in detail. As for drawing on paper, I also find it difficult to adapt to the sketchbooks available in offices, most of which are poor. In my country
you can still practice and make art with little supplies! I know it can be tough, but its you as the artist that is the most important aspect to making art, not the supplies. I'm rooting for you!
5:12 This tip is so important to me TT my most recent art block was bc of how bad algorithms hurt artists 😓 and it’s so disheartening when I spend so much time on a piece and it hardly gets seen,,,, it’s a bit frustrating when I don’t have a good mindset before starting a piece T^T I just need a break after every piece to recollect myself lol
I feel this a LOT ! social media can be so disheartening, that’s why breaks are so important! and also recognizing that your worth isn’t defined by likes or shares 💖
I love your channel and I really appreciate your drawings! Thank you for inspiring me to continue to evolve my art, I really enjoy marathoning the videos on your channel🥹
11:50 yes!:) I can’t really physically go out much, and have only been able once in around four five months, and that used to be my only available way to excercise, but I’ve found literally just shuffling to some music, or for a few minutes a day dancing to my favourite music artists in the bathroom makes me feel so much better and happier!
One way I like to tackle art block is by making a wheel of topics I generally enjoy drawing from, spinning it and following with it. It helps to eliminate the unknown and gives me a goal
I feel like I lost all my creative energy and motivation after ArtFight ended. Idk what to do and how to come out of this art block. I tried taking breaks but these made me feel worse because I WANT to create like I used to :( During ArtFight, I drew 56 pieces. I was so ready to draw in the next months but since then ... I just draw sometimes. And if I create, then it's so hard ... My energy got SO low and I wanna change that ... I am autistic. During AF I drew every day. I really rely on routine and structure and I didnt have that anymore after ArtFight ended. What if it is just bc of a lack of routine? Idk ... :(
I would definitely recommend implementing more routine!! even just scheduling art making for 5 min a day, making sure you’re taking care of yourself physically and mentally, that should help or be a great place to start. Take it easy, you did so much work in such a little time! 💖
I haven't drawn for fun ever since high school and Covid. I lost all creative freedom without having instructions it made creating so difficult. All i do when I get home is play video games or watch videos. It may be because of my ADHD but I want art to be my career. I miss creating art for fun and I want to get into the practice of drawing every day to be able to rationalize buying a digital art tablet. Any advice?
Ooo!! Maybe draw fanart from your favorite video games! Study the environments, characters, etc that way you’re drawing something you like and then you may brainstorm your own ideas!! Rooting for you!! I know exactly how you feel❤❤❤
Love the reply below! You can also try by slowly adding in 5min-10min drawing sessions each day and build your way up to a habit! you got this, take it slow and pretty soon it’ll be natural 💖
The video is helpful and good I love it but When u say art block does it mean not having ideas to draw (original ones) or just not having the will to draw anything sorry I'm just so confused 😬
I usually mean both of these things! I feel like they influence each other (ie no ideas can lead to no motivation, and no motivation can lead to no ideas)
aw dude Please let me clean that eraser its seen so much but i personally like my erasers nice and bright before starting an artwork like a refreshment when starting something new, but PLEASE let me clean that! lol
