thank you so much for this, I will literally import all of these presets into my use slots on my mininova, dude these sound so authentic and great! Exactly what I wanted out of a sound pack.
love it! Great sounds. I think if the Ultranova had shipped with these sounds it would be selling better. BTW I am always making sounds on this thing too. A very powerful engine. I love mine.
+tblv9300 I agree. Very ergonomic and very powerful. I find it much faster to program from the front panel than the VST. I made an init patch that makes the oscillators free running instead of all starting from phase 0 or whatever. If you don't when you stack virtual oscillators (density) and detune them you can hear a little phasiness as the virtual oscillators diverge. Free running this disappears even with the virtual oscillators. I have it sitting next to a Virus and I go for the Ultranova more. I think Novation did a really crappy job of promoting this synth.
I like the 1:30 - 1:40 sounds the most. It shows how aggressive the keyboard can sound without seeming cheesy. Most examples of this keyboard appear to be more 80's cheese than anything.
Thanks for showing what this engine is capable of. Most stock presets sound really boring and have to much effects over them. Purchased them. Don´t know how long it would take me to make these sounds and doubt I would be even able to do so :D
Thank you. I think with this synth it can get muddy fast if you layer too many effects. I do use the synth’s compressor on a single osc when starting a new patch though
Holy Crap, I just purchased an Ultranova on eBay and as soon as it gets here I'm going to be purchasing this download. These patches are amazing, its like every horror movie ever made in one bundle
@@tblv9300 dunno they were never really appealing to me, i am generally more drawn into analog synths, ans the viruses always sounded very digital to me, but i am sure in the right ahnds you can get something good out of it.
@@MinimalWave1982 lol sorry, but the virus is perhaps the most versatile synth there is. there is literally nothing you can add to it, that it already doesn't have. the virus is peak in synthesizer making.
Forgive me for asking, as I spend most of my time playing piano and organ, so the synth world is fairly new to me -- I know this is a polyphonic synth, but is it easy enough to also make glidey monophonic patches if I plan on doing some Stevie Wonder-esque bass lines or lead stuff?
it’s a problem now. It shouldn’t be since the sound engine is the same but evidently when they switched editor/librarian from 3rd party to novation something changed. it’s a shame
Well yes, they wont work, I purchased them, I didn't wanted to believe you 🤣🤣 If anybody knows somehow make this works will be highly appreciate. This is the biggest disappointment of 2020 for me lol. By the way I love your videos, I go back to them at least once a week for the last 2 years, your talent is incredible. Greetings from Chile
@@AiMaTay I reached out to Novation for replacement knobs and mod wheels for my second-hand UN due to the rubberized coating becoming sticky. They supplied replacements for free, and even sent me a replacement encoder for the filter knob. Their customer support is unrivaled.
Hi!, i'm going to buy these sounds, i am also interested in the original banks for the ultranova , (i have a mininova and they are supposed to work), does anyone know where to find them?,( i have checked Novations site and have not found them.)
+Dino this post explains how to load 3rd party ultranova sounds on the mininova forum.novationmusic.com/forums/mininova/ultranova-patches-wont-load-your-mininova-try-these
It's in a different class due to the the FGPA oscillators and analog filters and insanely oversampled DACs (24Mhz vs typical 48khz). If you get the Peak you won't need an Ultranova in my opinion.
I have both and keeping both... Sonically there in a different league tho, however both sound good. I personally think peak has more beef to it and its probably easier to come up with good patches fast on the peak due to its layout. Peaks' reverb is insane tho :)
just personal preference. I liked editing from the front panel and full size keys and the audio over usb. The nova engine is so deep that i thought i would be using the vst editor but the way the layout of the ultranova is well thought out and fast so i never used the editor.
@@tblv9300 Please tell me, I want to know. I was recommended to get a Synthstrom deluge, they said that it is similar to my electribe2 but better quality and everything. I cant get it in my country. Anyway I love my electribe2 but I found mininova and ultranova. It's all expensive in here, but secondhand I can get the ultranova for 730 USD and mininova 570 USD. Still I would like to know what you think of both.
These are really great patches!! I love your taste for "dark" and "retro" sounds.
Thanks
Every time I find a synth to buy, just gettin here, to your sounds. Very nice job, I love these sounds... Congratulations!
Great patches! Really shows off the Ultranova in a better light than most demos I've seen.
Thank you

Such a great sounding and severely underrated synth
Dope! Those drifting osc patches are crazy! Thanks for making the patches available for download.
Absolutely exquisite patches! I ordered as soon as I got through watching this demo.
Thank you
Very awesome. The best synth demo I've ever seen. Thanks!

excellent sounds and melodies, enjoyed it much

really good patches and great audio quality! Wow this changed my opinion about this synth.

Awesome. 3:31 reminds me of Wumpscut - Crucified Division.
Very old school vibe. Great Patches!
Totally my taste the Novation sounds musical this is something i personally can’t find on the Access Virus.
Cool trippy sounds
This is definitely a sleeper synth, people don’t realize how excellent it sounds and how powerful it is
Never even heard of the Ultra until I got the mini.
Ultranova x ever bro.
This one will be discontinued this year. I got this new for half price yesterday!
Seriously I want an album from you... What are your influences? I hear a lot of Brian Wilson in your music
seems like this sounds better then the nord lead a1
never got around to the testing nords but i like the a1 demos

nice job

Ultra VS Mini what's best?
ultra - only because of the controls/layout/keys same engine as mini

up to novation

blofeld probably next vid
will these work on the mininova as well?

the pitch and mod wheels on mine are soft and subject to scratching.. anyone know a way to replace them if I ever needed?
Your comment is a year old now but I think you'd need to just buy a new one. Maybe use another cheap controller for your wheels and midi it in?

It depends on what you're looking for,the Ultranova has way more possibilities and sounds
How would you guys the Ultranova to the Peak? Is it worth selling the Ultranova for it?
Peak +1
