These things are HUGE. perfect time for you to upload because i was curious about this thing and couldn't remember the model.... Merc is always ahead of its competition when it comes to technology and features. A bentley flying spur has the better performance, exterior looks and marque prestige, but it's also twice the price. I'd pick this over that any day of the week.
I feel as if manufacturers are still trying to find a classy medium with ambient lighting. This Mercedes, for example, has an interior that looks a little bit like a pachinko parlor.
Totally. To me what turns ambient lighting from ambience into tacky is when you start mixing different colors and using direct lighting strips, EVERYWHERE. Keep the indirect lighting glow in the footwells, door pockets, and door handles is probably what I’d prefer to keep it classy. Just my opinion of course.
Well with “wild” colors like pink, blue, orange etc it looks over the top. But there are very warm, yellowish white colors too and it looks gorgeous at night. Feels like home.
@@barsdogukankarakoyun8798 I feel like that should really be the inspiration for car interior designers, it’s a luxury car so refer to modern luxury home interiors for material choice and lighting. Instead it looks like the Germans decided Vegas was the way to go.

The next car I’m going to get is going to be the Volvo S90 a used one. Then I want to get a brand new or slightly used (1-3) year old Mercedes s class.

I don't think people that complain about the tech becoming outdated or needed to be repaired eventually really get that anyone who's buying this car doesn't care and will likely replace this before any of that happens.
I don't know, maybe you have to be inside the actual car but I don't like the ambient lights. Maybe they're more subtle than what they seem like in the video. And it's also hard to tell how quiet it is from the video. It seems quiet but there's still the pitter patter from the times and a bit of hum from them too, at least on the video. This isn't my car. I admire it and respect it, but don't love it. But, I haven't driven or been driven in one.
Nobody can touch Mercedes when it comes to ambient lighting. And the S class is the king of the full size segment for a reason. Too big for me, but still a marvel.
Like the video, hate the car, trends are taking over everything, no one seems to care how hard is all that tech like the on-screen seat adjuster would be to repair when it inevitably breaks 😑 i hate it when trends are prioritized over functionality.
My stepdads 2020 Mercedes S class convertibles engine completely failed around 5k miles. Tow truck picked them up on the interstate. Mercedes replaced it and he was back in the car 3 weeks later.
So you have to take the key fob out of your pocket and click a button to unlock the door handles? You'd think Mercedes would have a proximity function that would unlock the doors when you got up to the car.
I think the previous gen looked better inside and out, the exterior is pretty bland and not super imposing like the previous s class. Interior is nice but that center console and tacked on odometer screen looks poorly integrated
I wish more cars would have mild-hybrid systems with coasting capability like this Mercedes does. Yes, modern cars cut off fuel while decelerating, but actually shutting the engine off would be even nicer.
It’s a beautiful car, as most S-classes are. However, the infotainment and gauge screens cheapen the interior. The S-class is known for every inch of the vehicle being a joy to touch and experience, but replacing certain functions such as the climate or media controls with a giant touch screen instead of beautiful and simple buttons, switches, and dials takes away from the effortless luxury from previous iterations of this car. The touch screen looks tacky and bolted-on as if an afterthought. I wish Mercedes and other auto manufacturers would stop emulating Tesla’s infotainment philosophy.
Brother please I request you to play my favorite music on this Mercedes s class. I want to check out how it sounds on burmester 4d speaker. I'm sure you gonna love that music as well.
