  • I finally found a sway bar and install it to the CL55 AMG. It fit perfectly. In this video you will see what needs to go to make room for the sway bar. also how easy it is to do this conversion as well as how cheap it can be.

    Bought a bright silver one in great condition in 2013 for $16.5k w/91k miles. Still own it and now at 110k miles it's still a supercar 😃 . Good to know about that Sway Bar from W220. I will do this if/when my ABC goes. Thanks for doing these videos. Subscribed.

    Did you have to chane to flat top mounts for the coil overs to fit the lower arm? Or was there enough movement to get it to fit the ball joint?

    How did you manage to tighten the sway bar link on the top where it connects to the sway bar? There seems to be no space between the strut and the bolt inside the link

    Hi Brian... I have been thinking of doing same to my CL55 Komp, Yr04. Please let me know what you did on the rear...did you put the sway bar off the S500 and did you remove all the hydraulic lines that runs under the car from front to rear? Let me know and I heard that the yellows are better than the toastmasters ones as they are adjustables... Was thinking of selling it but there is only 1 CL55 in my country so I am thinking of keeping it since I love the M113K engines...awaiting an update on same. Thx Derek

    Wish it was this easy on the SL. When I did my VVK bars I had to drop both the rear and front subframes. Was well worth it though as the car actually handles better than a wet noodle now. A 4K # vehicle with no sways is a horrible ride for anything except putting around like your grandma ;)

    Nice! Currently I'm on yellow speeds only. I thought car would lose control easily but honestly I don't think you need sway bars unless you're racing it. Even on some twisties car felt good. Still I will be doing this since I already have all the parts. Hopefully control arm will come off easy next time with some lube. 👍

      Now you need to do the rear. Its harder but it'll balance the stiffness out. Drop the subframe a little and the exhaust. Get rid of all the abc lines. Wish I was there so I can walk you through it. Good job though and cars looking real good.

    Hey mate, do u think i can put a sway bar on a w220 with factory airmatic system? Is it possible?

    • @MyCBCMedia
      @MyCBCMedia 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A W220 with Airmatic suspension will have sway bar as OEM equipment, always!
      That is the source for the bar used in this video, for conversion from hydraulic suspension.
      I love airmatic features, but cornering is superior with the alternative and more costly hydraulic system. I under the desire to reduce expensive points of failure, but it is a shame to convert such an effective design IMHO. Enjoy your ride regardless of your choices :)
