Weird. Only girls seem to dislike her. I guess some girls just like to hate other girls who seem perfect and good natured, for no reason. It has to be jealousy or insecurity.
I freaking adore her in Enchanted. I thought that she was just a Disney type given that movie was out when I was young. Didn't know she has so so much in her.
I still don't understand how Emma Stone won an Oscar for La La Land when Amy Adams didn't even get a nomination for Arrival. Arrival only worked because of Adams' phenomenal talent - we weren't ever guessing at what she might be feeling we just felt along with her.
she was an absolute revelation in Arrival. I was pretty neutral on her before, probably in part because I hadn't seen many of her other serious dramatic roles, but after Arrival I have become I complete fan
Sorry but Emma Stone was brilliant in La La Land. I wholly agree that Adams deserved a nom, she was fantastic. But there were way weaker links in the Lead Actress category than Emma Stone
Well said. Academy doesn't give oscar to tom hanks and denzel anymore. But they r legend right. People need to understand an award is just a piece of metal.
Arrival was snubbed for sure, poor Amy she didn't even nominated for her breathtaking performance but tbh Emma Stone was great that year (just my opinion though)
She is an amazing actress. She deserves an Oscar for sure. After watching her in Sharp Objects she has convinced me even further that she deserves an Oscar.
Why does everyone care so much about this? Oscars don't mean anything. Everyone knows it, and complains that the wrong people get them, but then they still act like they matter.
They will end up giving her an oscar for an "easy" role in a blockbuster. Usually happens with overdue awards, they give them to the right actors for the wrong roles
Maybe i shouldve stayed with tesi at least i had fun with her and most importantly in real interaction physical in real.... rather than getti g emotionally destroyed by people who want sth else and destroy you if u sdont keep up.... but they see it differently... well they are wrong
You're SO right on about Amy's timing of her lines. I've found she's a natural poet, instilling almost a kind of mild iambic pentameter to her dialogue. Listen to her nighttime confrontation of Swanwick in BvS, and how she delivers, "I went into the desert and people died./ It keeps me awake; it *should* ."
She’s one of those actors that literally just acts in movies and does a great job and doesn’t get involved in scandals or annoys us with overbearing charisma. And might I add that she stays serving us looks 4 daysssss. I don’t know why, I just can’t pick up any dirt on her, I don’t think she’s here to play Hollywood games lol.
She is by far my favourite actress. It's funny how people constantly talk about how underrated she is and how she hasn't won an Oscar or whatever, but it's not true. People know how good she is, they know her talent, they appreciate it and she actually is a very profitable actress, so I feel like she's past that stage where she could be defined by having or not having an Academy award, which is exactly where you wanna get.
She’s amazing. I especially love scenes where she doesn’t have any dialogue and it just shows her powerful convey of emotions and facial expressions. Not many actresses/actors are very good at that but she absolutely kills it. Especially with every character she plays it never feels forced she’s just a natural more than what she credits herself for.
The time she convinced me she's really talented when I saw her performance in Doubt and right after The Fighter...... Two totally different role to play....KILLED IT!!!!! With or without Oscar her talent is undeniable!
Natalie Zayas-Bazan Just ended watching last episode. This show is the best I'v seen this year. Amy is beyond incredible in it! The director Jean-Marc Valee is my vavorite now.
one of her underrated masterpieces is Enchanted; major props to her for playing Giselle's sweet, naive and loving character straight and not winking at the camera
It's hard to understand why Amy Adams doesn't have an Oscar. Personally I still keep going back to Junebug. It's one of the most utterly mesmerising performances I have ever seen.
It's a mortal sin and mark against Hollywood that our princess has only got five Oscar nominations (she deserved one for Enchanted, and another for either Arrival or Nocturnal Animals--take your 2016 pick)...and ZERO WINS. Seriously, Academy: What is WRONG with you?!?
Shes my favorite actress of all time!!! From sing-song movies to suspense to heavy drama, Amy doesn't go short of creative tricks whenever shes on screen. Maybe the reason why she couldn't get an Oscar (which is unjustifiable) is because whenever shes nominated there's always this other actress who has more dramatic dialogues and show-offy scenes also nominated. Take the win of Anne Hathaway for Les Miserables over her in The Master for example. But time and time again, Amy continues to prove that she is worthy of that gold.
Ever since I saw her for the first time in Enchanted as a child my life was changed, she is phenomenal. No live-action Disney film will ever match her.
PLUS: she spoke up on the set of Sharp Objects when she was she saw mistreatment of her stand in, PLUS PLUS, she gave up her seat on first class to a soldier on her ✈️ flight. Class act all the way!
I watched her first in Enchanted and yes I was enchanted. All because of her and I knew she will be my favourite forever. Then I looooove her Julie and Julia. Her comic timing is amazing, so are her amazing serious roles. Such as in Doubt. She is so versatile and the Oscars are a joke. She doesn't need such validation to know she is great.
we want .. we NEED another tv show with amy adams as main character , sharp object was thrilling , too good ... ever since peaky blinders no other show has captivated my mind this way , i loved amy adams in sharp objects too bad there won't be a season 2 , but would totaly be on board if she's in another tv show
I absolutely adore her..such a powerhouse of talent...my favorite performance of her is "Junebug". Such a refreshing portrayal of contagious innocence. Also no one portrays female vulnerability as well as her may be with the exception of Meryl and may be Kidman.
She had a guest appearance in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, playing Tara's cousin. I met Amber Benson, who played Tara, at a convention and she said Amy Adams was really lovely.
i think the first film i ever saw her in was miss pettigrew lives for a day and i fell in love. seriously, her chemistry with lee pace was incredible, and the duet they sing "if i didn't care" gets me right in the chest every single time i watch it. that movie is so delightful!
She deserves the following wins and nominations: *Best Supporting Actress - Junebug (2005) won* Best Actress - Enchanted (2007) nominated *Best Supporting Actress - Doubt (2008) won* Best Supporting Actress - The Fighter (2010) nominated *Best Supporting Actress - The Master (2012) won* Best Actress - American Hustle (2013) nominated Best Actress - Big Eyes (2014) nominated Best Actress - Arrival (2016) nominated I didn't care much for the movie Vice. I'm sorry, I hope you understand.
I still pissed the fact that she didnt get any sjngle oscar...she deserve it...when u look at all her oscar nomination movies performance u cam tell at least she deserve two out of five...other medium actress also gets it easily but she is easily the most versatile actress in ths industry
First saw Amy Adams in a episode guest role in Smallville early 200s I didn't know her name but I always kept seeing her in several other TV series, then junebug movie and finally Enchanted in 2007! She has polished her craft through the years
I remember watching Doubt for the first time (recently) and thinking "I'm never gonna believe Amy Adams as a naive woman." And I also remember by the end of the movie being like "Huh... I guess I totally got lost in her performance." She really can do anything. Nice work on your video, by the way.
I absolutely agree. As a connoisseur of acting as an artform, I feel Amy is the best actress in our current generation. We we always watch a new film if she happens to be included in the starcast, regardless of the genre. Her memorable performances in my opinion are in: “Doubt”, “American Hustle”, “Leap Year”, Sunshine Cleaning”, and even her guest appearance in “The Office”. The list goes on. We always look forward to her next performances! Splendid work, Amy! ~ Dr. Sanjay Kumar & Family
Fun Fact: Amy Adams was nominated for the same number of Oscars as Leonardo DiCaprio in half the amount of time.
let's all hope that she can get an oscar in half the time as well because she really deserves it
6 times now!
i will ALWAYS say this!! amy could easily do the revenant, but leo would NEVER be able to do enchanted
Leo DiCaprio not getting an Oscar was a meme. That how bad it was...
@@neriumoleander8188 Amy can't do whats eating Gilbert grape.

Jealousy?

One of Streep's best performances IMO. Definitely worth a nom.
Amy doesn’t need an Oscar to be validated. Anyone paying attention already knows that she’s one of the best actors of our time.
it’s still nice to see someone that deserves it get an oscar (not saying anyone didn’t deserve their oscar coz they worked for it but still)
Well said. Academy doesn't give oscar to tom hanks and denzel anymore. But they r legend right. People need to understand an award is just a piece of metal.

😂😂😂😂😝 Nope
The Oscars are about as meaningful as the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. The whole thing's a Hollywood joke.
That Arrival snub must be one of the worst mistakes the Academy has even made. She truly deserved to win that Oscar.
Instead they nominated Meryl Streep for the ten thousandth time smh
Timothee chalamet in Beautiful boy was a huge snub this year too
Arrival was snubbed for sure, poor Amy she didn't even nominated for her breathtaking performance but tbh Emma Stone was great that year (just my opinion though)
Oh yes!
She is an amazing actress. She deserves an Oscar for sure. After watching her in Sharp Objects she has convinced me even further that she deserves an Oscar.
Sharp Objects would win her an Emmy
She's probably gonna get an Emmy before she gets an Oscar, lol (:
That look of her towards her mother while sitting in the dinner (Sharp Objects) is what convinced me that she deserves an Oscar.
She should win an emmy.
Sharp Objects best show I've ever seen.
Give her an Oscar already. Long overdue.
Sometimes I think that the Oscars are ripped.
