The master cylinder has a bleeder port. Put a hose on that and put the other end in the reservoir. Pump pump pump. Get the air out. Bleed the left front tire first. Then Right rear Left rear Right front Left front Done
Thank You. I just bought a used Sienna and plan on replacing the master cylinder sometime in the future. I didn't know about the sub assembly. Or what it was called.
When I place the new master cylinder onto that sub assembly housing. It's not flush. Starts off with about a 1/3" gap I can't push it flush manually. Should I bolt it down until it's flush or is there something wrong with the piston in the sub assembly that's not letting me mate properly?

I'm having this same issue Jo Mon. I was told by automotive repair shop to change out the seals to the part connected to the booster. They can do it for $1,300 for a new set, but he told me aside that I could do it myself for less than $100, but didn't give me the part numbers for the master cylinder repair kit and the kit for the thingy between the master cylinder and the booster. Plus he strongly suggested that I change out my spark plugs and PCV valve while I'm doing this, especially since my 2006 Sienna AWD has never had it done.
@@dalework53 Im going through this right now... you can buy parts through Toyota for 1,400, all three pieces... I just got all three pieces for 75 from a junk yard... About to put it in and test it...Praying it works...

For me, I secured them together using the bolts alternating the tightening sequence a little at a time.
