First, thank you so much for your generous support of the Filipino people and for inspiring others to make a difference, no matter how small. Your efforts truly resonate with those of us striving to give back to our communities.
On a related note, I am writing to seek your advice on a personal project. I am planning to build a house for my mother in Oslob, Hagdan. She spent her life raising us and ensuring we had the education and opportunities she didn’t have. Now that she's turning 65 this November, I want to surprise her with her dream home as a token of my gratitude.
My budget is limited, but I am committed to making this happen on my own as a promise to myself to give her the best of what I’ve got. The house will be about one kilometer from the beach, and I want to ensure it’s built to last.
I would greatly appreciate any insights you could provide on the potential costs involved and any recommendations for materials that would be suitable for a long-term structure in this location. Your valuable information has already been a great help to people like me, and any guidance you can offer would be immensely appreciated.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hello Sir, just been so busy. If you like a strong and a lasting house better built it in concrete.
Even if small as long as it will be built with tie beams up and down to connect the columns and put lentil beams on top of windows and doors so it wont sag .
And to save on door jambs around doors you can bury a piece of wood to serve as the area to
Put your hinges when you render your doorways.
And make sure the roof trusses will also be tied up with the rebars extending from columns
A bungalow type of house one story is cheaper than having a 2nd floor as that when the expenses goes up

Hi .can you suggest an affordable and reliable contractor in Cebu?
Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it.

Sorry I do not use a contractor myself, all the houses I built including my own I self build.
I just hire people and fire them when not needed, procure materials myself and consult with different professionals for building as needed.

Thats a nice house. Cant wait to see it finished. Also would love to see you do a video on engagement ring prices for those of us foreigners who plan on marrying a wonderful filipina someday. That would be a big help
