      @PourriGamer TY for bringing this up, I've been yelling this idea forEVER. Why not have seperate rooms where you can go to completely customize the look of your gear and clothing, ie: change my plating on my chestpiece/backpack to look like red carbon fiber etc. Go over to the weapon room to change out that 18" barrel to a gold carbon fiber wrapped 14" barrel (thats not easy to get) that gives better target acquisition but diminished range etc. Ubi already has beautiful mods/customizations, I just hope they go 1 step wayyy beyond current. 1 thing that ALWAYS bugs me is barrel lengths, shotgun with longest barrel SHOULD have increased range and accuracy etc. Make weapons even more functionally realistic to real world... PLEASE UBI PLEASE!

    They can have all the new tech they need. The main concern for me is the talent of the devs to be competent in balancing the game and writing a good story much better than we have now. And the executives. You already know they about money first, passion and quality is last on the list

      passion or quality isnt on the list. its all about trying to force video games from something they dont understand (that players get invested in a good game) into something like what they DO understand, a regular product with regular income. games old style are not regular. execs hate the idea of years in development then a few years starting with massive sales fading over time until a dlc. they want yearly and monthly income. they want it to be like car parts, or bread, or some other physical product that gets sold more often than every few years. they dont get gaming because business exec training is about get in your supply chain to get the components, then build something cheap and quick that people or target market will buy (if supplying say car parts or power supplies). they want live service, and want to drive down costs, and income every month. subscriptions in other words, because that looks good to shareholders and gets execs their bonus shares or salary bonus.

    this does make sense. here's the thing, there's a lot of background tasks your game doesn't need to be perform in an instant every single frame. right now games have systems in place to schedule these tasks when the game isn't as demanding on your pc. but by sending all those "soon to be needed" calculations over to cloud computing, you'll have more resources available to not rely on those lulls in graphics processing, and instead keep the game at a higher potential. but this idea will only work if implemented right. if devs rely too much on the technology, latency will take over.

    The simplest analogy i have for it is - instead of one big division server that handles everything in game. There are now multiple servers that all do a different dedicated function. You connect to the AI server to get enemy behavior and movement. You connect to the graphics server to offload some of that processing. You have the world server that handles the enviornment and missions. You are technically getting stuff from 3+ separate servers, that can all independently make changes.

    • @Shademastermcc
      @Shademastermcc หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would imagine this could get extremely bad given Ubisoft's track record with bugs. It's one thing if the game bugs now, you might have 1 component out of whack. For example, the enemy A.I. glitches and 2 of the enemies just stand there facing walls. That's fine because everything else is loaded in perfectly fine, walls still count as walls and the bullets/dmg is still being calculated so you can still kill those enemies and progress the level. What happens when the graphics portion glitches in SCALAR? Do we all just fall through the map? Do the enemies not register that there's terrain or walls and they just shoot through everything? Or perhaps it isn't the entire framework of the environment but just the visible graphics glitching. Sorry, that crate didn't load in properly, you thought you were shooting an enemy but you were mag dumping a crate.
      I'm skeptical of them getting everything to integrate properly and have that experience delivered to your screen properly without major bugs. It's a great idea but it's something a better development studio should be handling, one that isn't worried about the features of people they hire, aside from their skill level.

  • @Shademastermcc
    @Shademastermcc หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    FINALLY I see someone else using the firefly. Stunning half the enemy team and dealing with the dogs all in one fell swoop should not be underestimated. That precious 4 seconds of downtime can be a real tide turner especially at the higher difficulties. AND you use the pistol instead of waiting for reloads!? I wish more people followed after you.

    Everyone who loves the division like this: the division is not a cover shooter, stop giving us momentum debuffs, the game is fast an always has been, any skills that make a character stand still only for pve content, unbreakable should be an exotic chest piece, give us back dmg pulses, give us back the boxes instead of hives, give us back all heals from division 1, give us seasons for the weather, make lmg an shotguns make you run slower, an for pump action shotgun max the crit chance to 30, we need better clothings, why do we feel like either look homeless or spend money for cool outfit, if you want rifles to be good, get 8 stacks of busy bee an the dmg numbers you get it how hard you should hit at base dmg, they are to slow, you have a rpm cap, stability is trash, we need incision back to back, the raids are not that fun, because you gotta rely on to many people to make progress, lmgs should add suppressive fire animations in PvP almost like when you get shot at in battlefield, create better code for skills that follow you around because they really only work if you play it like a cover shooter, please actually give good exotics, out of all the exotics only a few are good, go back an look at the gear sets from division one an take inspiration, it’s sad the strikers from division 1 is better than any set that came out in the new game, take away the ability to inspect in the dark so an conflict, we don’t need a bunch of dz, give us a big dz with brackets, an the ability to do solo, duo, or full team, if recalibration is gonna cost us an arm and a leg then make the hardest content drop em buy the ton, bring back survival at launch an make it really worth it in terms of gear an xp, fine tune shields so they actually stand a change in PvP, d3fnc was great, add the ability to roll incoming repairs on your gear, an make it so if you want to jam or emp skills you gotta have equal skill tiers, our hives at tier 6 should be tanky like legends npc boxes, bring back talents on all gear, stop tryna dumb the game down so new players can feel good about them selves, this game is hardcore time an dedication, you put the time in the you get rewarded, stop babying the pve players who go into the dz an get farmed an the cry about it, nothing about this game is casual, stop treating it as such, if your not ready gear wise or just can get the movement down then either practice or stick to pve, go back to div 1 med kits, the plates make it so hard for a solo player to fight the lobby without playing peek a boo, every day we sign in it should be a way to get an exotic, an for Christ sakes nerf shotguns, nobody with 2.2 million armor with max regen should be about to 2 pump somebody

    if, IF we were able to get this for Div 3 I'd love to see,
    1. A massive open world with NO invisible fences or water barriers except for the actual world edges
    If I can see it I want the ability to go to it, if there is a door, fence or wall I'll shoot or grenade it to get access, If I can reach it I should be able to climb on it and so on.
    2. A massive interior world, if the building isn't destroyed I want the ability to explore it from basement to rooftop and every room in between, no boxes blocking stairs, no dressers blocking a door NO barriers.
    3. Rotating Control points, hostel territories and so on, lets see more of the factions fighting among each other and taking/retaking control points, even our own, how cool would it be to interrupt the Outcasts taking over a True Sons Control point?
    4. Real world damage, as we fight in areas and cause destruction have glass break and stay broken, have wall fall and stay fallen, have bushes burn and stay burnt and so on.
    5. Part 2 of real world damage/growth, leave bodies where they died, have the Vultures, rats and whatever take care of them.
    Let grass grow, let vines creep, let bushes get bushier and so on.
    6. Part 3 of real world damage/growth, as new factions take over a control point have the last factions graffiti painted over, have their barriers rebuilt, have their tech rebuilt, moved around and improved upon so every time you go to retake a base it's always different with new destruction/repairs, new/old graffiti, new grown grass or new rusty cars.
    7. Rotating loot.
    The loot in the world should move around a bit as the factions move around, kind of sick of specific loot always being in the same place, as you loot it it should be gone unless replenished by someone.
    8. I want a build-able world, as I take over certain areas I want to build up it's defenses BUT it needs to be done in a way that I can also still lose it, if I'm off on a mission I can't very well defend a control point if it's attacked so there is a chance I could lose it, even if I am there to defend it, it still can be overrun so If I die during an area defense then I should be re-spawned to the nearest safe-house and I lose that control point.
    Biggest thing is it needs to be done in such a way I'm not constantly defending control points and such, do it in moderation Devs.
    9. Real weather events
    If the game is set in say Chicago, then after you finish the story in which ever time-frame it takes place, Winter, Spring, Summer or fall then the world should start reflecting that real world, if it's summer time then it should be summer time in our game, it doesn't have to be as detailed as each rainstorm each day, just seasons AND it would be nice to have the option to change it to whatever we wish.
    10. Everything needs to be an XP gaining event, attacking force, an event, chunga in the middle of the street, an event and not just some random chunga in the middle of the street.
    11. No open world to other players, if so make it an option, when I play solo I like to play solo, I don't want someone else running around in front of me stealing my kills or taking my loot.
    I have more but I'm tired of typing LOL

    The biggest problem for players will be connectivity. People with 1gb internet often have poor connectivity with TD2. That being from your machine or devices, the game itself, your service provider or gaming platforms like Nvidia Now. So quality will vary from user to user and so will the experience. That being said, that would be pretty cool if it were available for TD3. Have access to more buildings and points of elevation. And I would love to play the game like the 2013 vid.

    If this is actually used I would be interested in the potential of it. Mostly because The Division 2 is easily one of the best looking games I've played so I think the focus of The Division 3 should be on improving all other aspects of the experience including having a lot more content overall.
    To expand on that, I play in 1440p with settings mostly maxed and consistently get 180 to 280 fps with my 13700k/4090. If The Division 2 was released today I would still be inpressed with the large, detailed and great looking environment. The game looks fantastic. In my opinion they should make The Division 3 without spending much time on improving visuals. If the game runs without a ton of bugs and has a lot of different things to do players won't be worried about improved visuals. Using technology like this would allow for the game world to feel even more alive and interactive. It certainly has potential but we'll see what happens.

    So. Sounds like Scalar is more like a global table that existing and future game engines can be spread over so that more hands can touch various pieces of a game at the same time, at any given time, without major disruptions to other hands and interactions rather than a whole new and separate engine of it's own that would eventually replace existing engines like Snowdrop. If the advancements to world building and engine stability with Scalar end up as or better than they appear so far, perhaps Resurgence (with its emphasis on more and greater social areas and player numbers) is working as a small scale experiment in utilizing Scalar in some capacity; If a mobile game can effectively utilize a program like Scalar to significantly increase the fidelity of world detailing, player counts to more non-pvp areas (ie. player populated open-world PvE locations like we've seen in previous Resurgence gameplays), NPC intelligence and server stability than a full sized, heavy weight and vastly more complicated iteration that's only going to get bigger and heavier with time after launch like The Division 3. If Scalar pans out as well as a real world strategy as it seems to on paper, it could have huge, and positive, implications for The Division IP and other Ubi titles...heck, it could even allow for the re-introduction of previously dropped features like the forever hoped for Android/iOS Companion app and abandoned integration of mobile to base game interaction like the player using an Android(?) tablet to operate a drone in tandem with their buddies on consoles. Lot of possibilities with Scalar that I think a large portion of us are eagerly watching the progression of.

    Interesting tech and looks very possible in concept but the issue I see is broad band limitations to the general consumer. What do you do put a super high min bandwidth speed on a game? That's going to limit revenue and player base for sure. It's not a streaming game but the base elements are streamed in to the console from cloud based world generators in live time. Would love to see it happen but I don't know the percent of people with ultra high speed internet globally that could run it at least right now.

    But how beneficial will it be, in reality, to add so many more players to games like The Division? We live in an era of unprecedented censorship and DIVISION on every level.
    Would you want to play with so many more people when there’s virtually no point? The questions devs should be asking is what will these larger groups of players in an area actually look like? How will moderation be implemented? How do we promote socializing amongst the least social group of people (gamers)?

    I think to keep people interested and playing, why not implement a grinding mechanic in which you will grind for pieces of an exotic item for you to build it and the parts are spreadout and can only be obtain by certain missions or modes, with corresponding droprates just like some of lootershooters are doing, it can also be applied to other cosmetic items like apparels. They already have it in the game just like the ravenous but instead of raids, involve game modes that are not so popular or even the dz

    TBF, Ubisoft has been playing around with AI tech back in Division 1 day. They mostly use the tech on level testing with cheats and debugging, and the result, we seen how terrible and overtuned Div 1 and 2 were at launch. A few years back, they also mention about having the AI writing plot for games. Hopefully for Division, third time's the charm.

    "Ubisoft Exec Says Gamers Need to Get 'Comfortable' Not Owning Their Games"
    Scalar sounds like a multi server streaming rebranded. Studios worldwide take care of 1 part of the game, and they package everything through Scalar which streams it to you at the end.
    I don't trust Ubisoft, and The Div3 isn't even a certainty IMO. Star Wars Outlaws has some very bad earlier comments, and Assasins Creed Shadows is involved with a huge controversy (without even mention the potential legal issue about The crew) if these games don't do well, it won't surprise me if Ubisoft cancels TD3.

    I think I Kinda saw the tweet about the division 3 getting a team together a while ago.
    My main thing with The Division 2 was that I needed a break, I'm coming back bit by bit but I've been solo since the start, I've done pubs and...that's it, I had a clan but I didn't see much action at all before I took a long break and became inactive but now that I'm back I have nobody to play with, no new players or vets of the series.
    I'm honestly scared to even communicate with anyone if I'm not shd level 1000 at least (progress on that is going well this season ngl) for advice or anything 😂
    If The Division 3 is having a team assemble for its concept, I just want a good game (The Division 2 did some of the gunplay for PvE Well from the division 1 personally) with a successful follow-up to the story where I can have a chance to be more social 😭

    Imo it sounds like they're doing this to prevent piracy/enforce always online. IIRC correctly the next cod is going to to try something like this with texture streaming. You'd have to re-download assets constantly, which might be fine if you have super fancy internet, and if you don't lag is going to be exponentially worse. if they used it specifically to have larger more active worlds that's fine, but companies like these always find a way to turn the blessings into curses.

    • @RogueGold
      @RogueGold  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The current implementation into The Division games (like with enemy AI mentioned in this video) seems to strike a good balance between allowing hardware to take a bulk of work, while offloading certain elements to enhance them, but not put too much reliance on high-end internet speeds. Hopefully any future expansion to this keeps that same balance 👍

  • @OperatorWolfy
    @OperatorWolfy หลายเดือนก่อน

    In theory this seems like a good idea. It takes out the need to process a lot of data from the PC of the player, and simply loads the assets based on commands or parameters from the server. But in practice, given Ubisoft's track record of pretty shady net coding and various networking issues that happen for no apparent reason sometimes (especially in games such as Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, The Division 2 in some cases, etc.), I have doubts that it can be applied well.
    I have hopes, but very cautious, and doubting hopes in such a technology implemented by studios under publishers such as Ubisoft. Their latest releases and announcements of other franchises under their supervision recently have been under intense scrutiny for loads of various reasons such as lackluster gameplay, poor game design choices, technical issues, and so on.

    Let's see a true separation of PVP players and PVE players to different servers and PVE players are not there for just the amusement of PVP players. We never meet no sneaky trying to use us as unwilling targets in the dark zone. Because the devs force you to enter dark zones etc because of the needed resources/ weapons only found there. Let's be honest the team at Massive has only ever cared about one set of players at the expense of the others and endlessly altered the game to appease them at our expense turning it into a bullet sponge mess...
    I don't mind realistic just not one hit kills to the head Golden BB shots suck when it happens to you! I am very nervous about using multiple servers, especially as the bugs! Can you imagine trying to track down bugs across multiple servers all feeding data concurrently I really don't see how you can do that and keep up the numbers of players on each server as well.
    Please another Survival mode the one thing that has come out in every pool about the Division going back is the one thing endlessly asked for can you imagine how good you can make that now with real randomness in the locations of loot and where NPC's spawn it should turn a fantastic mode to a must play IMHO. Especially if you have environmental finding water, food and clothes to survive and the arms and equipment to take the fight to the enemies. Now imagine that you don't have a timer just a mission you have to complete it does not matter how long it takes you. Where I like Survival mode the pressure of the timer and trying to find the meds you need especially when you have stupid glitches like only finding pills in every med kit that are annoying and go back to the bugs this time they need to quash the darn bugs before it's released...
    I hope for a fantastic game but seeing what a disappointment The Division 2 was they cancelled Heartlands with no good reason just because they thought they should not make mega bucks with the free-to-play mode and microtransactions. So why not charge us for the game most of the fans if it was a fun game would pay for it. Cancelling it and how they have messed us around on Division 2 shows UBI soft in a very poor light in how much they value us, doesn't it?
    Lastly, the big bugbear in the room is microtransactions. if they need to see it done correctly and with respect look how the Devs at Almost Human have acted! then compare to how Ubi soft / Massive has treated us? If we have spent over £100 on the game and DLC and then being nickel and dimed every time we enter the game it's tedious if we want to purchase stuff we will but respect us to choose! Don't Cut parts of the main game out and call it DLC that is contemptuous...
