You can actually take the mcat more than 7 times if you have taken thr old exam. For instance, I took the old exam once so that doesn't count because it's an old test. So, I can take the new mcat 7 times. So in total I could potentially have 8 (7+1) mcat attempts.
Great story!! I have been doing nothing but that, comparing myself to seeing my friends become doctors and I am the last one in the group and feeling so worthless because I am so confused about how this medical application works. I was told that I won't get into medical school because my GPA was 3.33, graduated from a 3rd world country, minority, and a single mother. I am even more inspired that you tried 7 times and didn't even score higher than a 500 that means I can get into medical school too. Trying to get someone to take me seriously is rather difficult I was laughed at when I told a career counselor. Maybe while I follow your videos I can learn how to get there too. I took my MCAT last week so I am eager to know my score.
You are MORE than capable Rhina! Run your own race and NEVER compare yourself, and we are here for you if you need any assistance. Remember, everyone will not have your best interest at heart and unfortunately more often than not, counselors are no help but hopefully we can continue to be for you!
