@@bigbandpistachio the thing is that this is not a continental contest. The contest is based off EuroVision (which is a Dutch TV channel) broadcasting area and its associated TV broadcasters too. Morocco made an appearance at the contest once and I believe Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Lebanon could opt to participate too. Australia's ratings for the ESC were always high, so they were invited to participate. Israel is part of the EuroVision Broadcasting-thing so that's why they participate.

I never heard anything from KMH until I heard this. What a fantastic introduction! It's easily the best packaged and best credentialed song to do well at Eurovision. It's one of those songs that take you on a journey, and with those superb vocals and that rousing finale, it deserves to win Australia Decides.

I'm sure Sheppard's song will be top-notch, but this is something rather special, and if it's great live, Australia could do very well at the contest indeed... if people choose this one. A risky, but engaging, fresh tune. The first possible Eurovision song I've heard for 2019 that could (it's early days I know) win the whole contest - best of luck from the UK.
Do you think juries would like a song that is constantly changing like this one? They tend to vote for such safe songs, I think this would be too weird for them.
@@mirroroffthewall5932 Depends on the jury members. Some may find it refreshing and unique, others may find it, like you said, too weird. But weird doesn't necessarily mean poor. Time will tell

I have to agree. Sensational song. Kate is such an enchanting performer. I just hope that we get the staging right for this one if it makes it to Israel. I maintain that last year, Jessica Mauboy was severely let down by the el-cheapo staging.
