@@friendlymechanic9778yeah, I've spent more than my share of time upside down under dashboards when I did a lot of wiring mechanic work years ago. Looks like I'll be doing it yet again on my 2012 Silverado.
Quick question I replaced my UCA LCA inner/outer ties rod my steering wheel might of moved In The process after I was done I test drove and stabilitrak light came on and I took it to alignment and they said they can get wheel straight
hmmm did you detach the steering shaft from the steering column either inside the vehicle or outside where it attaches to the rack? If so I would go there and make sure the alignment marks are on point. If they can't get the wheels straight with the alignment that might be the issue.
No it would most likely be how the shaft was re-installed. Your other comment said you replaced the tie rods inner and outer. If you detached the steering shaft from the rack go back there and check if the alignment marks on the steering shaft and the rack are on the 0 position. look for an arrow or some indicator showing the 0 position or straight ahead position
With key on engine off.. steer all the way right then all the way left and hold for 5 seconds... Then return to wheels straight... Start vehicle and it should reset.. if not drive around the block making sharp turns.. good luck 🤞
thanks!!! very clear video help me a lot to get the job done
I am glad I could help. 👍🏼
Thanks for making this, it looked very difficult to film.
Haha you noticed? Yeah the camera kept falling off my little tripod.

This is why I hate working on vehicles today you have a lot of patience my friend
Thanks❤

@ I never detached anything so more likely I’ll need a steering angle sensor
@ I never removed any steering columns. After alignment I need to have steering wheel turn quarter to have car drive straight
Would bad sensor tweak the steering wheel so it’s not centered?

I think I’ll just remove the dash lights for traction control, abs, and BRAKE 😂
Good video though
😂 I know right.
thanks to this video i am 80$ richer thanks!
Do you have to relearn the sensor? If so how you do it without scanner?
I think so, just go to an allignment shop and ask them to relearn it it should be pretty cheap if the will

Would bad sensor tweak steering wheel I took it to alignment shop and they couldn’t straighten my steering wheel
My 2012 doesn’t even have the bracket with the t25s in it.
Replaced the sensor but still get code c0710
What car do you have? After the sensor was replaced and then codes erased how soon after did the code reappear?
@friendlymechanic9778 2012 silverado, drove it a couple times with no issue than all of a sudden dash light came on and I got the code
Any other warning messages or faults stored?
@friendlymechanic9778 Nope, no other codes so far
Hmmm how about the part is it OEM? Is it a good quality part?
OOOOOMG thats problematic, i though it would be a little complicated for newbies like me xd
I will study a lot of times to do it jsjsjs
Yeah, i think I'll just trade it in as is. Geeeezzz, just a little involved. Engineering at it's finest.... again.
