Although Ronaldo has more penalty goals but that's not the point. Also, UCL is a team award while golden ball is an individual award. But what I will say is that Ronaldo's move to Juventus also showed that he too needs the best providers and suppliers (in midfield) to compete in UCL and big games. Modric and Kroos and Marcelo complemented him greatly . The same can be said about Xavi and Iniesta for Messi. But Ronaldo doesn't have the same goal-creation/chances-creation prowess that Messi has. How many times has Messi won the MOTM without scoring? Compare that to the number of times that Ronaldo won MOTM without scoring a single goal , that's unheard of. Almost zilch. I wish, that's gonna be hard tho, i think i have dead subs, most of them don't watch my videos, i gathered 24k subs in 4 years (long period) so most of them either 1)forgot about me, 2)not intersted in football anymore but still subbed 3)they use another account & not the one where they are subbed to my channel, I think my biggest problem is inconsistency, I sometimes release 3-4 videos a month and sometimes I go on hiatus for 2-3months without notice, procrastination is killing me (seriously)

Ending the debate? It was never a debate to begin with. Messi is not only the greatest player to ever play the game, he's just a genuinely better ambassador for the game. He's extremely humble, doesn't dive needlessly, doesn't complain, just plays the game and does it better than anyone else ever. We are lucky to have a player like Lionel Messi carry that mantle because we couldn't have wished for a better human being to do so.

I disagree, when Maradona retired sometime in the 90's people said that's it! We shall never see a footballer like that again! What I would say is that from 2014 since Ronaldo had a knee injury he has slowly adapted his game to the point where he is a pure goalscorer and when he doesnt get service he isnt involved in the game. Prior to the injury ronaldo was a winger who could do anything. Messi on the other hand, having lost some of his explosiveness has transformed into a playmaker but he can still score and assist because everything Barcelona does goes through him. At his goalscoring peak he was more of a false 9. Both players have changed their play styles from their prime years.

What I would say is that from 2014 since Ronaldo had a knee injury he has slowly adapted his game to the point where he is a pure goalscorer and when he doesnt get service he isnt involved in the game. Prior to the injury ronaldo was a winger who could do anything. Messi on the other hand, having lost some of his explosiveness has transformed into a playmaker but he can still score and assist because everything Barcelona does goes through him. At his goalscoring peak he was more of a false 9. Both players have changed their play styles from their prime years.

I have respect for both. But it's harsh to compare their club stats. I know some people thinks it's just an excuse. But come on messi was a graduate of la masia he is been playing in Barcelona's style from the very start. When u move to a diff country the league is different.....the style of play is different....teams strategies are different.......& it doesn't matter people care or not.....but it takes time to adapt to the change. Ronaldo changed thrice...messi never had to. Now with his age 30+ he moved to an Italian league where the style of play is defensive. So messi might end up having more club goals. But directly comparing the club stats without considering these factors is dumb. And who is going to say about the international. Argentina always had more world class players than portugal....so if u say about the teams they faced u have to notice the teams themselves.....its tough to play and succeed in a team of players not in your level...ronaldo still thrived. In my opinion there are some things (success, struggle) where messi did better....and also there are some things in which ronaldo had the upper hand

Football is all about trophies and success, unfortunately Messi has been riding on Barcelona's wave of success (not saying he's bad), he has failed to win any other trophy except for the La Liga, UCL, Copa del Rey, Fifa Club world cup, Uefa Supercup and Spanish Supercup. It's pretty lame to end your career with only 6 tournaments won. Ronaldo may not have Messi's playmaking talent, but in front of the goal and against any opponent has proven he's always there to help the team, he has joined below average teams like Real Madrid during the 2009-2010 season, has played for an average NT and made both of them succeed, he is still playing in a below average team at Juventus and manages to get good stats.
