Thank you ❤. I was looking for this. I was hoping it would be like tvpaint which place the sound in the timeline, which allows the animator to animate and place the right sound while animating. It look a bit complicated on blender side.
Yes, but then you have more options in blender in timing your audio. And as long as you keep the video sequencer Open you see your waveform. And activate scrubbing as shown so you can hear the sound while animating

if the section (min 1:19) about displaying the soundfile wasn`t the right thing, have a look at the "pullusb" addon on gumrod here: pullusb.gumroad.com/l/sound_waveform_display hope that helps

It helped me a lot, but I still have a problem that I dont find the solution anywhere :( My problem is that I put de audio and I clic play, but if I stop it to focus In for example frame 50 and then click play again, the audio in frame 50 will play as it was frame 1. So for lipsync its very complicated, because I have to start always in frame 1 to se what happend in frame 50 or 100 o 200... Someone knows what can be happening?

Disclaimer in the github of the addon: "IMPORTANT: As Audacity development has broken vital pipe functions affecting the Play functionality, for more than half a year, it is recommended to use one of the Audacity forks like TENACITY instead (link to tenacity)" Does the normal audacity still works with the addon?
it worked for me as in sending it over to audacity and back. It wasnt as nicely intergrated like it showed in their trailer. So try with Tenacity like they wrote in the disclaimer.

is there a way to create a audio visualiser? not 3d, but with the grease pencil elements in 2d
