Okay, fellow followers of Cat & Dave. What's with the "how's Leo gonna learn Finnish" and "why didn't you move to Sweden" questions that people just keep asking? Swedish is the second official language in Finland and Swedish-speaking babies manage just fine!
@@CatCadwallader It's so sad. Monolingual Finnish doesn't get it if there aren't someone present to teach them... Working in Sápmi has further taught me how rude and unruly Finns tend to be.
is it even possible for a native english speaker from US or UK to even learn finnish remotely enough for it to be understood? Also, I don't feel as if Finns are rude, I just in my opinion feel like finns are " straight cut" , straight forward and to the point, not in a rude way but in a way that it's you all have your own little bubbles and some people welcome more and some dont that's life it is " just how it is " none of my Finnish friends have ever been disrespectful or anything, towards me but being American I've learned a lot by talking so much, or asking pointless questions, etc but I've gained awesome finnish friends and i really appreciate them for who they are.
I believe you guys are a great couple together and are very equal and loving to each other and Leo. It is great. Like you both said, keep the love, keep going and enjoy your lives together.
About Leo being held by other family members after quarantine I can give a little tip as I live in Finland and my family is from Poland, so we don't see each other that often (and we see my finnish husbands family members even less, which is very wierd for me tbh). You can show photoalbums to Leo and explain to him who is who, you can also make Skype calls with them, so he can have little interactions. My daughter was always warming up faster to people, who I have shown on the pictures and talked about before. When you will meet them, you can also let him have a little easy start, by showing by yourself, that you feel comfortable with them, smile a lot and not force-push him on their arms in the first second. He might be shy for few first minutes, but if nothing scary will happen, then he will most probably go to them by himself after few minutes :)

Me and my husband has been married for 20 years now, but I remember it made me so frustrated my husband used to left his sock all over our aparment at the beginning of our marriage. One day I set one pair of socks I found on the floor on the plate ant put it in the fridge. I thought that was a very funny way of sending a little message, but my husband did not think that very funny back then, I remember. :D
