Of course they went to newton food market haha, but I would prefer bedok 85! Bak Chor Mee! Is food in Korea really ex? All the cheap food they say, I found it too expensive.
$6 is a bit much just for a plate of char kway teow,usually other hawker centres sell it at around $3-4.
yeah i just came back from Korea, their average meal prices from those random shops (ajumma restaurants) are a minimum of at least SGD$7 per person for a set of the main dish and rice. However it does include free water and refillable side dishes. (but some bosses may get a little pissed if you ask for more) If you go with friends that could be better though, thats what my friends and i did most of the time there, we shared a lot of our food and just split the money equally.
It depends on where you go though, I was staying at Myeong Dong, thus they inflated the prices cause it a touristy area. When I went to Busan, the prices seem to be more affordable.

It's just like for them coming to Singapore and finding our food cheap but we find them considerably expensive for the same food we can eat elsewhere. They do have food that costs around 4-5 dollars in SGD but you have to find it... Hidden gems. But they usually still tastes great!

When you are a Singaporean, live near newton, and crave for food but too lazy to get your ass out of bed
I felt a sense of pride when i see the audience reaction on the food shots. Then i realized this must be how they feel when they see foreigners so over the top over the korean culture and food. I didnt know they will find our food to be so cheap when we're already lamenting how expensive about getting a plate of chicken rice for $4. They will realise that they can find all those food throughout the whole of singapore if they decide to stay here longer.

Singapore is a sad place seriously. People just resort to food binging to tide over stress of society. They try to make it tasty but if you really evaluate the food Singapore has, much of it are just gluten based cheap food. I been overseas for some time, i do miss the food every now and then , but not much else

They should have tried the pawn noodles at Newton. It's at the back, inexpensive and very delicious. The boss there is also very friendly.

Malaysia and Singapore food are the same but both country have amazing food proud to be a Malaysian.There is a lot more food they haven't eat like roti tissue , ice kacang.
