  • Welcome to Calvary Tucson's Annual Southwest Pastors and Leaders Conference 2022
Text your Questions for the Q&A to 520-222-9139.
Pastor Skip Heitzig, Pastor Gary Hamrick, Pastor Robert Furrow, Dr Ed Hindson, Dr Mark Hitchcock, Pastor David Guzik
    0:00 Introduction
2:43 How would you use prophecy in Scripture to share your faith with a nonbeliever?
6:58 We have a pastor in our valley that teaches a prewrath view of the rapture, what exactly is this view and what are the issues it presents?
10:30 Would you allow someone with an amillennial, no tribulation, no rapture viewpoint to serve on your church leadership or to be your youth pastor?
16:37 I work with Mormons, Zoroastrians, Buddhists, and several Hindus. They are very intelligent and good citizens; however, talking about Jesus and salvation is a non-starter. Any suggestions would be helpful.
19:39 How do you interpret from Matthew 24:34, "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place?"
27:32 I don't feel the Holy Spirit like I want to, or like I hear others describe. I want to, I try to but I just feel a little bit hollow sometimes. I might be a little bit numb.
32:25 My wife recently died and I'm curious about what is called the intermediate state of the believer's spirit in heaven, before the rapture and receiving our rewards at the Bema Seat, and the new body and the new room. What is the believer's spirit doing in the presence of the Lord?
41:52 Will there be sin during the millennium?
43:35 As someone who suffers from a TBI and memory loss, I'm quick to anger, I'm afraid that I won't be right with God since I forget my sins to pray for. Is it good enough to ask God to forgive my sins I may have forgotten?

I just lost my husband 6 weeks ago .Hearing from this pastor about his guilt. I can so relate. The questions did I do enough, WHY didn't I have more conversations about this or that. He was my husband for 36 years and I miss him,but I know he's with Jesus and I will see him soon..the feelings don't depend on that, those fluctuate. God's word is the truth.Jesus is my rock.

Such great encouragement from all these men!! I live in Oregon and listen regularly to Pastor Gary Hamrick, whom I discovered in 2020 while searching for a study of the book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ. His teaching is from 2010, and so beneficial to listen to 10 years later. Blessed be the shepherd who feeds Jesus’s sheep of the Good Word of God in truth and faith, with grace, love and peace.

My dear friend’s Christian wife died a couple years ago after a long battle with MS. The morning she died, I had a dream. She was coming around the corner in a brightly lit area, and her face was almost glowing. She had the biggest brightest smile I had ever seen on her. (She always had a a big, beautiful smile). The coolest thing, was that she had long blonde hair. All the years that I knew her she had dark brown/Black hair. When I told my buddy about it at her funeral, he looked at me and said “she used to have blonde hair“😳😳! WOW! What an awesome blessing the Lord gave me with that dream, and what a blessing it was to my friend! God is real, Jesus is real, the Holy Spirit is real, and heaven is real! Don’t ever doubt it!

They just discovered cirrhosis of the liver, and she has major surgery coming up in a day or two. She is a believer, and it’s selfish of me to want to keep her here, but I would dearly love for all my family to be together here on earth when we’re raptured!

For the person who said they didn't feel the Holy Spirit's presence, put on some anointed music and lift up your hands to heaven and worship and praise Jesus. Tell Him how much you love Him and thank Him for dying for you and anything you feel like saying to Him. Spend some time with Him knowing He desires to spend time with you.

What a thoughtful symposium, after moving to AZ from The Bay Area of California it took over four years to find a proper Biblically based Church(Calvary Chapel Queen Creek) and it seems to me that the root teaching from Chuck Smith and Chuck Missler lives on in these men.
Really fond of David Guzic and originally found him through Blue Letter Bible (On recommendation from Chuck Missler) and access his commentaries daily and watch his channel on YT Enduring Word.

QUESTION: would be on using prophecy as a witnessing tool. Would it be fair to say that pointing people to Jesus would proceed prophecy itself in the perspective of maybe knowing Jesus on a personal level. Like maybe, depending on the person, some have gotten turned off by prophecy because it makes no sense but hearing the gospel would make more sense. I pray this comment makes sense. Thank you and God bless

      Message of hope!
Yes the only thing that matters is leading people to JESUS. On the day of judgement many people will ask the Lord did we not prophesy in thy name? And yet He tells them that He never knew them. JESUS also said that many false prophets would arise and show great signs and wonders that if possible the very elect would be deceived. All that it takes to be a false prophet is to be wrong about Bible prophecy.

The only problem that would arise from someone teaching a different eschatology position is the people in the seats realizing that there are sections of scripture they’ve been trained to ignore. The most unified position a church can take on eschatology is the position of resting in the ambiguity. Unfortunately, Calvary chapels have puffed themselves up thinking they have the eschatological questions answered. However, I’ve yet to see any Calvary chapel pastors publish an academic, peer reviewed article or book arguing from their position. The reason is because their arguments are outdated and no longer are supported by primary source material. That’s just a truth statement that needs to be addressed.

@@RobertFurrow it makes me really sad man. Honestly breaks my heart. I’m a product of Calvary chapel. I graduated Calvary chapel Bible college. I’ve been to the senior pastors conference in Tuscan, Costa Mesa, and the Deep South. I have a deep deep love in my heart for Calvary but what was said is so disheartening. There are plenty of wacky eschatology positions out there we need to ignore. but there are about 6 that are very sane and grounded in the biblical text. All views have elements of truth and clarity and at the same time all views are guessing. Why not just be honest about it? If you know that what you’re presenting people is a house of cards and can collapse if you interpret a verse or word differently, then you’re lying to people and being deceptive. It needs to stop. Hold your view, defend it, but not allowing someone to teach or be on staff because they have a different eschatological bent is shameful. It’s almost borderline cultish. The greatest New Testament scholars alive today don’t even agree and there is zero division caused! It allows for freedom and for people to examine the evidence for themselves instead of being told what to think. Personally I don’t hold to a certain view. I want to be able to listen and hear other perspectives without the fear of losing my job. Amillenialism makes a fantastic point over here. The pretribbers make a good point over there. So why do I need to choose? Calvary has always said, “we aren’t against denominations but we’re against the division they create.” What seems to be not recognized is the division Calvary causes by not allowing people, wonderful godly people, to work in their church because they think differently about the rapture. Heartbreaking 💔. I know the pretrib position is a Calvary distinctive but it’s time for that to be reexamined. People need to know how to think well about scripture, not what to think about scripture.

The prophecy that will focus all minds upon Almighty God and His Son...in whom God is 'well pleased', is the prophecy about Wormwood. Those watching for Biblical signs should know that it is in our gravitational space already and like Daniel's rock, not made by hands, it is drawing nearer and nearer, causing crazy electromagnetic tribulations on this planet. Electromagnetic problems require electromagnetic answers and Almighty God's teaching of righteousness contains these answers. Therefore...the accurate teaching of Jesus Christ contains those answers also.

    • @RobertFurrow
      @RobertFurrow  ปีที่แล้ว

Thanks Robert, first it does not say "Son of Man Return" ““Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:28‬ ‭NKJV Then you keep reading in Matthew the very next thing it says is ‬‬“Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.” Matthew‬ ‭17:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ This shows us the importance of not taking a passage out of it's context. Matthew 16:28 was fulfilled in the next two verses, so you are right it is not fulfilled by some future generation.

Since the writers of the New Testament and their audiences to whom they wrote were real people in time and space, how is it that THEY believed that they were living in the “Last days,” and expected and believed that the Messiah would come in THEIR days and not 2,000 years after? (Examples): Why would James say to the rich of his day, “You have laid up treasure in the Last Days”? (Ja. 5:3). Why would he say to his readers (spiritual brothers): “Be patient therefore brothers, UNTIL the Coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the COMING OF THE LORD IS AT HAND” (Ja. 5:7,8).
So how long does a farmer have to be patient and wait for his precious fruit to grow… 2000 years? He asked them to be patient in the SAME manner a farmer does. Are they STILL waiting since the year 45 A.D.... that was when James wrote his letter?
Didn’t the writer of the Book of Hebrews say that the “Last Days” were the in days of the Messiah? (Heb. 1:2) including Peter (Pet. 1:20)?
Why would James encourage them and say, “not to grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is STANDING AT THE DOOR!” (Ja 5:9). If someone is standing at the door, that means he’s near! Aren’t these statements made by James, the Lord’s brother, obviously evidence that the believers of the first century confidently knew that Yahshua the Messiah would imminently come in the First Century and NOT thousands of years later? If so, then the NATURE of His “coming” must have been His Coming in Judgment during the first century evidently confirmed by Historians who recorded the Judgment that fell upon Judah, especially Jerusalem and to His disobedient people in the year 66 - 70 A.D. - a war lasting 3 ½ years (The great tribulation). Isn’t it obvious that the entire book of Revelation is about…the Fall of Jerusalem, the spiritual “Babylon”, “Sodom”, and “Egypt” (Rev. 11:8)?

    • @RobertFurrow
      @RobertFurrow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Thanks David, as for your question, "Isn’t it obvious that the entire book of Revelation is about…the Fall of Jerusalem, the spiritual “Babylon”, “Sodom”, and “Egypt” (Rev. 11:8)?" No each generation is to be watching and waiting for the Lord. if you believe in preterism (the believe that prophecy was fulfilled in the past.) There are all kinds of biblical problems that arise. especial if you are a full Preterist.

If “each generation is to be watching and waiting for the Lord,” was then Paul misjudging His coming when he said to Titus to “live sensible, upright, and godly lives in the PRESENT AGE, as we EAGERLY await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior Yahshua Messiah.” (Titus 3:13)?

“But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.”

@@RobertFurrow I saw the pretrib rapture teaching as a falling away from the truth over the airwaves on tv Feb 1985 Jan 1,86 . I saw the white horse. It was pope John Paul 2. He started the war on terrorism for world peace and called on the world leaders to join him and thats when they sold us out. He also made the first treaty with Israel since Rome destroyed Israel and at the meeting they argued over the popes chair saying hes over all governments and all religions 2Thess 2,4 that was May 13,86. A month later came the Red horse Gorbachev and he brought unrest and socialism at the white horses derection then May was the peace treaty then he held the first pray meeting at the Vatican in November 86 and all the religions of the world came to pray with the pope including his new Jewish friends and they all went in to pray but the jews stayed out because of the law of God and the pope said it was ok for now. Then Jan 1,87 Ronald Reagan came out and announced he was going to balance the worlds budget, because the pope wanted him to spread our wealth around he was the black horse. Then a month later came the Pale horse nature. And now the pope is pushing climate change laws a socialist move. 2oo5 I saw the souls under the altar and they were the early churches that Rome beheaded for over two hundred years and there told to wait until our future when the mark of the beast comes out and Christians die like they did Rev 14,13 that's the fifth seal and it's over at the last day when the Lord Jesus returns. The good news is the mark of the beast period is only a 45 day period or no flesh would survive so then the Lord comes back quickly Matt 24,22 we know the mark is only 45 days because of Dan 12,11,12,13 vs 12 vs11. They setup the abomination of desolation then 45 days later your blessed with Daniel at the resurrection on the last day. Then September 29,08 God woke me with a great trumpet and that day the stock market crashed 777 and the jews were releasing debt and the Lord showed me the mysteries of the woes and the trumpets, and before the hail and fire falls God seals the 144000 , then the fire falls taking out one third of the earth and sea and a multitude no man can number Rev 7,9,14. Thats where were at now waiting for the hail and fire to fall in a one day event probably a nuclear war. Then your in the woes or last three trumpets 5,6,7 and in trumpet 6 they rebuild the temple Rev 11,1-14. But before that the first four trumpets will take out one third of the earth and sea and the multitude no man can number Rev 7,9,14. Jesus said pray that the mark of the beast doesn't come out in the winter or on the Sabbath. He said so when you see the abomination of desolation spoken by Daniel 12,11,12,13 run for the hills if you live in Judea. Rev 14,6-13 Matt 24,13-22 Dan 12,11,12,13. If you live in California maybe just lay low for the 45 days. Dec 2019 Donald Trump tried to fix what Reagan did but they wouldn't let him so he made a few changes to nafta then the globalist shut down everything claiming the virus then came a voice out of Europe saying hurt not the oil and wine as said in the black horse. So now inflation will ravage the world. So God started sealing the 144000 from that first trumpet, that was September 08 then November 4, on election night the Spirit said to me he was taking his spirit out. Then Obama was president. Before the shut down for the virus, God sent me a messenger while I was eating in a restaurant that told me God seals the 144000 a thousand a month for twelve months for twelve years. Thats all he new then he walked away. So that would mean Gods through so now the first four trumpets can fall at anytime. So watch.

Hinson: "all of the seals represent the wrath of the lamb."
The first seals are NOT JUDGMENTS NOR is Jesus angry. Don't pull the first seals out of their context. Chapter 5 is part of the chapters 4 & 5 vision, which sets the context and timing of the first seals. It was a vision out of John's past. The timing of this vision can be found by studying the vision. Here are some truths from these two chapters.
    1. Jesus was NOT seen at the right hand of the Father. (He was on the earth at that time.)
    2. The Holy Spirit WAS there in the throne room. (Shows us that Jesus had not yet ascended to send Him down.)
    3. Jesus was NOT found in the search for one worthy that John watched end in failure. (Jesus had not yet prevailed over death to become the Redeemer.)
    4. TIME PASSED as John wept much. (Jesus rose from the dead while John was weeping much.)
    5. Jesus now FOUND WORTHY in a subsequent search. (He had just risen from the dead to become worthy.)
    6. Jesus ascended and John got to see the moment He entered the throne room.
    7. The FIRST THING Jesus did was send the Holy Spirit down. (Rev. 5:6)
    8. The SECOND thing Jesus did was take the book from the Father. (Rev. 5:7)
    9. Jesus began to open the seals, RIGHT THEN, about the same time He took the book from the Father.
The first seal then, opened around 32 AD was to represent the CHURCH sent out with the GOSPEL
Seals 2, 3, and 4 are to represent the devil's attempts to try and stop the advance of the gospel. God has allowed the devil to use wars, famines, pestilences and wild beasts, but LIMITED him to only one fourth of the earth: probably Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the very places where two world wars have started and were fought, and where pestilence after pestilence have brought death to many, and where famine after famine has killed many.
Seal 5 is for the martyrs of the church age. Jesus commanded the church to GO and make disciples of all nations, but all nations were (and still are) under the power and control of the devil, so of course, people would be martyred.
FINALLY, seal #6 will begin the time of Judgement, as God will begin the Day of the Lord.

Honestly , l never find the New Testament teach a pre tribulation rapture from Matthew to the Book of Revelation . However , l found many scriptures about a ‘ Pre Wrath ‘ rapture . When l understand that 70th Week of Daniel , Jacob’s Trouble , the Great Tribulation are God’s final tests for Mankind to Act with Righteous responses and Repentance , before His WRATH is finally poured out ! The great tribulation culminates these Tests . But ‘ Rapture ‘ delivers everyone from GOD’S WRATH which will follow soon after Tribulation of those days !! Read : ll Thessalonians 2 , Matt 24 , Mark 13 , REV 14 , 16 & 19 . Believe these Scriptures and be not Faithless !!

    Are You Ready?
It is evident that God would have mankind to know of future events (Amos 3:7; Mt. 10:26; Mk. 4:22; 13:23; Lk. 8:17; 12:2; Jn. 18:20). Thus, Bible Prophecy is simply pre-recorded history authored by God, the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 1:19-21; Rev. 19:10b). Those who erroneously teach that no one may know the day when the Rapture or the Second Advent will take place (Mt. 24:36; Mk. 13:32) are ignorant about: 1. The prophetic significance for each of the seven holy feasts of the LORD (Lev. 23). 2. The three stages of a Jewish marriage (Mt. 1:18-25; Lk. 1:26-27). 3. The five questions and answers in what is known as the “Olivet Discourse of Christ” (Mt. 24:3-26:2; Mk. 13:3-37; Lk. 21:7-36). The people of Israel and their religious leaders should have known of the First Advent of the Lord Jesus UNTO His own (Mt. 16:1-3; Lk. 12:54-56; 19:41-44; Jn. 1:11; 12:46), just as all Christians should now know of His two future returns (Lk. 17:22) known as the Rapture FOR His own (Jn. 14:1-3) and His Second Advent WITH His own (Rev. 19:11-16). Also, that the Rapture is soon to take place (Mt. 25:1-13; 2 Cor. 11:1-2; 1 Th. 4:13-5:11; 2 Pet. 3:3-6) and those who are deceived by a false gospel are professing [foolish] Christians and will NOT be taken in the Rapture (Prov. 24:20; Mt. 7:15-23; 25:7-8, 11-12; Lk. 13:23-27; 17:26-30, 34-36; 2 Cor. 11:3-4, 13-15; Gal. 1:8-9; Phil. 17-19).
The 80-year generation (Ps. 90:2, 10) that will see the fulfillment of all the Lord Jesus foretold in His Olivet Discourse began on May 14, 1948 with the rebirth of the nation of Israel and will end on September 30, 2028 with the Second Advent on the Feast of a Day of Atonement [Yom Kippur] (Lev. 23:26-32). The fundamental thought for the number “40” is: "Full testing according to the whole responsibility” [The Numerical Bible, F.W. Grant]. Thus, God has given our generation a double portion of 40 years in contrast to giving Noah's generation a triple portion of 40 years equaling 120 years (Gen. 6:3) to turn from their evil ways. Victories by Israel in wars with her border neighbors (Ps. 83; Isa. 17) early in 2022 will cause the removal of her walls (Ezek. 38:11) followed by WW3 in the fall of 2022 (Ezek. 38 and 39; 1 Th. 5:1, 3). Israel and Matteo Salvini of Italy (Dan. 7:7-8; 9:26; Rev. 6:1-2; 13:1-8), will sign a seven-year [2,520 days] (Dan. 9:27; Rev. 11:3; 12:6) defense treaty in May 2023 that precedes the Second Advent.
Our current Age of Grace began with the death of the Lord Jesus (Mt. 5:17-18; Lk. 24:25-27; Jn. 19:30) on the Feast of Passover in 30 AD and will end with His Second Advent (Acts 1:10-11) on September 30, 2028 on the Feast of a Day of Atonement [Yom Kippur]. The Church Age began 53 days after the Age of Grace on the Feast of Weeks [Pentecost] (Acts 2:1-47) and will end with the Rapture (1 Cor. 15:51-3; 1 Th. 4:13-18; Rev. 3:10-11) on the Feast of Trumpets on September 28, 2022 (Jn. 4:35-38). God is now judging mankind by way of changed weather patterns, corrupt politicians, unstable economies, pestilences, and natural disasters for rebelling against Him and His Holy Word. The Lord Jesus described the period of time we now live in as the “Beginning of Sorrows” (Mt. 24:4-8). Those not taken in the Rapture (Mt. 24:43, 48-51; Lk. 21:34-36) will suffer unimaginable hardship as God executes His judgment upon the entire world (Mt. 24:21; Mk. 13:19; Rev. 4:1-19:21). An explanation of all of the above statements and much more may be found, read, and confirmed in the treatise entitled, A Biblical View of the Past, Present, & Future, on www.endtimewarnings.org. Maranatha!

Calvary Tucson with Robert Furrow Men have long twisted that statement to confirm to their flawed eschatology rendering the meaning of “this generation” as whateve future generation they think fits what’s said in the scriptures yet the simple and most plain interpretation is that Yeshua was speaking to his own generation the only generation in history to witness the birth, crucifixion, death and resurrection of the Messiah not to mention the utter destruction of the temple and the city of Jerusalem. Tell me what generation in the history of the world could be more evil than the generation that crucified the messiah?
“In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: And who shall declare his generation? For his life is taken from the earth.”
      ‭‭Acts‬ ‭8:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬.
“He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.”
      ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭23:31-33‬ ‭KJV‬‬.
“A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.”
      ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭7:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27:24-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Let his blood be on us and our children” encompassed the “this generation”.
All these generation markers point exclusively to one point in history the time when Yeshua himself walked the earth in the flesh. Are we to ignore all of this scriptural truth to support or not yet and maybe soon flawed interpretations of the eschaton?

    • @djwinchell
      @djwinchell 2 ปีที่แล้ว

No he was NOT! That scripture was in the Old Testament and was referring to Israel becoming a Nation again and that didn’t happened until May 14,1948 that generation it’s speaking about yours!!

Josie Winchell everything I repeat everything in the Old Testament was a type and shadow of what was ultimately fulfilled in Christ prime example “out of Egypt I called my son” we know in the Old Testament Israel was brought of of Egypt by God through Moses yet the New Testament says this very thing was fulfilled in Jesus who went down to Egypt until the death of Herod and was called out. You clearly do not know the nature and relationship of the Old Testament scriptures and the gospel. You can continue in ignorance if you want that’s on you, the truth is the truth period.
