It's actually a difference between 2wd vs 4wd, not 2500 vs 3500. The 2wd have the shackle under the leaf, and 4wd have shackle above the leaf. It's the same on 2500 and 3500. Been through this before on my 06 2wd 2500.

Just saying that my boosted 4.8l ls would walk all over that 440 slow reving boat anchor and I don't care if I blow it up I can get another for 500, you'll have better luck cutting holes in the floor and going full send Flintstones style before you come across another 440 because mopar guys are the first to be the "I know what I've got guys" and it's a pile of old boat anchor shit, big block to big block gm still would gap that ass and I've got 1000 to put on it @Z Bricker

Fun fact. The shackle hanger fiasco, its not a 2500 vs 3500 thing. Its just that 3rd gens could be either or.... my 04.5 2500is the same shackle over hanger design
