Ignacio Lopez 🥰🥰🥰!! The reason we never hit Mavrik Ignacio is because it doesn’t have weight out in the toe. I rely on toe weight to reduce rotation and add mass behind the common strike area which is always toe side for me. I really like the look of Mavrik Sub Zero though, really suits my eye.
If the lottery win comes soon, first class flight to Canada, full bag fitting over a couple of days followed by few rounds of golf and beers with the two of you.
@TXG Tour Experience Golf Thank you for your content. Prior to our State's 2nd shutdown, my game has been improving greatly by watching your videos, and by using Ian and Matt's swing as reference. My scores have gone from 120's down to low 90's, and even a couple of 89's. Your videos have not only been educational and entertaining, but has motivated me to improve my game. Looking forward to the many videos to come, and best of luck in reaching your channel's next subscriber goal. Thank you.
Nice to see the Titleist is holding its own even though everyone else has seen a refresh since it’s release! The SIM is a really nice Driver! I saw my first one in action yesterday and liked the sound off the face in an outdoor setting. It’s far less white looking than I thought as well.
im with you. the SIM is great but when I got fitted they had a better shaft selection for the Mavrik and got my spin down. the SIM also sounds better but I have had my quality issues with TM over the years with 3 wood faces splitting so went over to Callaway for the first time. Great vid gents, just wish I could pop over for a proper fitting :)
Guys wow!!!!!!! So impressed with the content it’s so up my street. I’ve got to be honest, I’ve not seen your content before. I follow Pete and Rick, which led me to you podcasts (of which I’ve now listen to 5 on the bounce and have also found Andrew Rice). This is so informative and enjoyable. Thanks guys keep up the great work.
The right gear has been confirmed! I'm pleased to see that the TS3 was the closest alternative. I have enjoyed my TS3's from the day I was fitted -- be it my driver or my 3-wood. Looking forward to seeing the 3-wood fit.
Pete is changing clubs almost every day at this point... half his videos is him getting fit or WitB videos... I really like Peter's stuff, but man he changes clubs alot!
u guys make perfect content. super chill, super professional. knowledgeable, excellent golfers, great facilities and fantastic chemistry in front of the camera. spreading the love from Kent. Eng.
The SIM seems to have gained an edge on distance and miss-hits over the other drivers on the market. Would be curious to see if it gets similar results with a high handicapper.
SIM is just too good. It’s won me over and like Ian, it’s the most comfortable I’ve been with a driver. I know the miss and hit it so well. I’m very confident off the tee right now.
Great video-thanks guys. SIM so so good for those of us extenders that hit up on it a fair bit. Almost too good. It might prevent me from fixing my damm swing :)
I love the look of the SIM. The color scheme is great. The thought that keeps going through my head is if a BMW M series were a driver this is what it would look like.
Ian Fraser thanks so much Ian ! After 9 straight days of fever starting on 15 April, my fever finally broke on 23 April ! Still have some shortness of breath but nothing like 1 week ago when I was walking up my stairs one step at a time. Rest of my symptoms are mostly gone. My O2 saturation levels are back to near normal 94-96. They were as low as 90 last week which is borderline unhealthy. Just finished 12 days of antibiotics and So excited to be on the mend !!
Okay you could have stopped the video at the 2:06 mark as those numbers look perfect, what more could you ask for. I didn't think you could do better than the SIM setup, I'm surprised it was the T3 that was runner up.
I wanna see how much you guys would spend on clubs for a season every time you changed clubs. It’s amazing what a fitting would do I swing harder then Ian but would be 40 behind him lolz.. might have to make the 3 hour drive to txg
you can just see how much better ian’s swing gets when he is confident and doesn’t fear the hook. some of those drives with the sim were top level. why no freaky deaky mavriky in this test?
Chris Elerick Thanks Chris, thats precisely why we didn’t hit Mavrik. Without having weight to move into the toe, I couldn’t protect myself from hitting it left. I really like the look of Mavrik SZ but just doesn’t offer enough protection.
Twistface was disaster for me, but my miss is not the same, my toehits were with open face, and gave me wild pushslices, an SLDR 430 gave me much better misses than the M5 i had....
Would you guys revisit the ts4 sometime? I bought one and love it and you guys have only tried it once in the bracket last year and I would love to see you do a more in depth test.
Shock horror Ian chooses to stay with the SIM & Accra RPG setup, its the perfect colour combo for a Rangers fan! Just wondering if Accra could get the Rangers Badge onto the shaft graphics for him?
Matt immediately diagnoses the strike by sound alone... rapidly becoming an excellent fitter simply by soaking up Ian’s expertise. Learning by osmosis.
Sterling Juarez I think he’s soaked up some fitting knowledge and I’ve soaked up some of his speed. As they say you become the average of the 5 people who spend most time with.
Ian Fraser I think we’ve all noticed; you’re comfortably over 320 total pretty regularly without swinging out of your shoes. And Matt is getting really good at fine-tuning your bag. That’s a pretty potent combination!
I got fitted into an A shaft on my driver but all my other woods are regular, is that normal? 67 year old with a slow back swing then lash it 220 meters.
I was kind of gutted that the Sim2 didn't fit or work well with my swing. The Callaway Epic LS was king for me and while it's boring to look at, I'm bombing it over 300 with much better accuracy. On the flip side, my fitting put the Sim2 3wd as my best so I get to enjoy some of that beautiful carbon fiber.
ian called it early, he knows he is a early extender...causing path to go to much up and out. sim seems to be the best at managing his swing at the moment.
Why didn’t you test the Mavrik against the Sim? Would have been interesting. Also...the shaft that you (Ian) is using there....how would it compare to the ‘standard’ Taylormade shaft you would get in a Sim driver of you took one off the shelf? Is that ‘standard’ Taylormade shaft built for the Sim or is it just an average shaft?
I was hoping TS3 would edge it out but alas SIM takes the day and the numbers show why. Probably for the best Ian...we wouldn’t want your cage rattled...😂. Thanks fellas.
Ian, have you guys had any trouble with SIM head weights being too light? What is the average weight you're seeing with the SIM head? I need a 200 + gram head because I play a 44.5" shaft length.
@@clubchampionmedia Understood. That shaft and head combo is perfect. Can I send my stuff in to Mikey and get some blue? Also, you're getting pretty good at the fitting thing. 👍👍
Ian, I'd really like to see you guys do some 50grm +/- or sub 50 grm shaft testing as I'm sure there are a lot of seniors out there who would be interested in seeing that test. But perform the tests at Matts or your normal swing speeds.

Been using a set of mp67 mizuno irons since high school. They still play great after putting x100 shafts in but, I have to be hitting perfect and I don't have the time to practice that much. My HC has been sitting around 5-7. I've tried a few of the new, more forgiving iron sets but, I end up with a pw that goes 160. Yeah 44 1/2 7 stiff va shaft im pretty sure it weigh in at d7 does that sound right not sure if my club fitter did it right just wanted your unfortunately i can’t hit it because of lockdown
Hi Guys, wondered if you could help. I was fitted while ago now for speeder evo 4 driver shaft in stiff tipped 0.5inch, couldn't afford the shaft at the time and a cheaper alternative was suggested aldila phenom rip (grey) since then I've picked up a bargain on the evo 4 but in x flex... I love the stability of it but would I be giving up distance? Not quite sure on swing speed at the moment, maybe 95mph... My irons are oban ct115 stiff if that helps. Would love an answer as keep missing the live. Thanks, love the content.
Great video as always. Looking for a quick opinion on the sim. For a mid handicap with a not consistant strike, would you see it as a good option.
