I think the pause at leaving the green light is to watch for red light runners. In my area many times people run right through the intersection on red, usually a dodge charger with no insurance.
@@markjackson7566 I agree with you. People will check to see if there are any cars that don’t seem to be slowing down. FSD will be continuously monitoring and won’t even go if it detects a runner. I have a theory about why FSD is slow to start up when the light turns green. I ride with a friend sometimes when he’s driving and he stops at the stop light, when the light turns green he spends time looking at traffic to make sure it’s safe to go. Personally, I pay attention to the traffic so that when the light turns green, I’m ready. I’m sure that there are a lot of drivers that don’t pay attention until the light turns green because that’s all they’re looking for and then when they see it is clear they go. Maybe FSD was trained on a bunch of videos of people doing a similar thing. FSD was probably taught that it is supposed to pause before going. Of course this is unnecessary because FSD is always paying attention.
For intersections with other traffic I wait 1-2 seconds after a green light scanning for red light runners; this was in my motorcycle safety handbook. You never want to be first into an intersection unless you have scanned for cars approaching the intersection at high speed. Most drivers in "cages" (cars) don't drive nearly as defensive as a motorcyclist or bicyclist would, but bear in mind that you can get just as killed if you get T-boned by another vehicle running a red light. For many of these intersections there was little traffic so they could definitely speed up the "go" on green.

In Vancouver they will purposely speed up and stay beside your drivers door and make you put on your brakes to get in behind them. US Regulations: Vehicles attempting to enter the highway using an on-ramp are obligated to yield the right of way to those vehicles already traveling upon the highway. Although highway traffic is not required by law to change lanes for a merging vehicle, when practical, drivers should move over to allow merging vehicles to enter the highway safely. Moving over is like opening a door for someone. The law does not require it, but it’s a polite thing to do.
The problem is then the weiners sit in the travel lane while youre then forced to speed up or slow down.Because of this I just sit in the merge lane and wait for person to do their thing ,even if it means they roll down the shoulder.
Pretty sure the reason why it takes like a second and a half to start up at traffic lights is because they have collected enough data, where that second and a half is a grace period in case there is a distracted driver who didn’t see the light change and drives through the red/ a driver racing the light before it changes and ends up running the light.

You guys are right about the ease of getting a self-demo drive. Well worth it. I did a MY Performance drive a few weeks ago in NW Florida. Was also MY first ride in a Tesla (or, for that matter ANY EV). I understand now why there are some terrible accidents which get plastered all over media; the power of the vehicle is quite unexpected if you are coming from a Honda Fit. I imagine if you are young/inexperienced and/or intoxicated, the power can be dangerous. I was fine but a few expletives did escape my mouth when I punched the accelerator. The only other times I've experienced that much acceleration were 1) on a sling-shot start roller coaster in San Antonio, and 2) An incentive ride in an Air Force F-111 jet back in the early '90s at Aviano Air Base, Italy.
Just to be clear, when Elon posts something that Congress (or anyone else) is supposedly voting on, you MIGHT want to look it up for YOURSELF before swallowing it hook, line, and sinker. He has a habit of posting things which are wrong, or if not completely wrong, then completely misleading. For things which are obviously his opinion, no big deal. For things stated as "facts", it's a BIG DEAL. He also posts things which are correct. The question you have to ask yourself is, "Should I rely on information from someone who regularly gets it wrong (even if it makes me FEEL 'right')?" Often, "Ready, Fire, Aim" is a poor sequence.
Sure, but mainstream media suffers from the same issue, of being wrong at times. Few have time to DYOR, so people look for things directionally right as a proxy.
Thank you for including my clip with the cybertruck being towed in Germany. My daughter loved your reaction to the clip and wishes you all happy holidays. As a sidenote. Doesn't matter. Hiding a pay raise in a bill for supporting hurricane relief victims is scummy. They need to isolate INDIVIDUAL ISSUES and no more omnibuses. A 1500-page bill rushed to vote should be criminal.
The lack of smart lane picking in the route planner hurts the performance of FSD, often leading into the wrong lane. Route planning needs an overhaul with precise lane picks.
Is there a chart that covers the rest of California homelessness, or just San Francisco? The article indicates the entire state ($24.5Billion), but the chart covers the San Francisco-covered portion of expenditure (2.6 Billion over 2016-2020 (5-year) period). Apples and Crab-apples (not really oranges), probably both rotten, but there you have it.

In the Memphis area, currently have jerks who run red lights , so it is really good to take a few seconds and look both ways when the light turns green before you go, so here that is a good thing. Also, Chris from Dirty Tesla said in a recent video that FSD 13 in S3XY is ready and amazing , but FSD 13 in the Cybertruck is still like FSD was a few years ago, it’s good but it has a way to go.
Yesterday I got a surprise Christmas present: 1 month FSD Trial and it was AMAZING. One part of my trip yesterday several very complicated exiting and it did perfect. I would have missed one of them. Feels like a 25 year old who can rent a car without the extra fee anymore. The only time it messed up and I had to take over was not going into a turn lane that it had plenty of time to get into. Maybe it thought there was 2 turn lanes?
The bZ4X is equipped with Toyota Safety SenseTM 3.0, which offers cutting-edge capabilities including pre-collision detection and lane tracing assistance. Innovation and safety go hand in hand.
I was not impressed with my free FSD yesterday. It would not hold the limit I set on the interstate. would not change lanes and stay there to pass when I told it to. Needs work.
Yeah I agree, complaining that it doesn’t drive the way you do is like complaining about the way other ppl drive. Is it safe is what matters most. Ultimately the goal is to be able pay no attention.
@nguyep4 yet Musk has this big voice, he couldn't have asked that those things 'AT LEAST' be included in the new bill? So jaded is this savior of free speech that he can't see clear to at least try to help the kids? He isn't ignorant. He knew it was in there.
@whitlockbr They are playing politics using kids and you fell into their trap by blaming others. Rather than the people who did this deliberately. And how would you know nothing is done about it?
I was also hearing that truckers are saying that semi truck EV’s weight is so much more than diesel semi’s that roads and bridge infrastructure will have to be replaced to accommodate the new trucks. I don’t believe it?
The Tesla grid power packs have Chinese batteries in them, correct? Most likely CATL batteries. So, at what point does CATL or whomever, decide to make the packs themselves and underprice the Tesla units? I have for some time questioned the enthusiasm people have for the Tesla grid packs as being a solid business plan, as Tesla does not make the batteries. What am I missing? The Chinese know how to code too.

I completely agree people all over who need the Direct-to-Cell Starlink will pay for it, happily. Admittedly I do not know that status of the program in the half-dozen other countries it's being offered, but I doubt millions are already doing so (paying for it), because the beta signup just started a week ago, with limited availability (at least in the US). That will certainly change in 2025 as more satellites so equipped reach orbit. I suppose only SpaceX and T-Mobile have a good idea of when millions will be signed up for it (probably sometime in 2026). At some point a significant percentage of mobile phones worldwide (perhaps 10%) will use the service (primarily those underserved/not served by cellular today, roughly 4% of the land area). As with most communications, Starlink direct-to-cell is certainly not the end of the evolution of the tech. At some point (10 years?), I expect broadband mobile communications (not just texts) to be available anywhere there are people, including the polar regions, and anywhere in low earth orbit. By 2040, there will be broadband all over the moon, too, although latency back through to Earth will be a bummer.
Image how much better it would be if Teslas had V to G/L. In Australia we have a standard for it now and the Chinese auto manufacturers are going to make bi-directional chargers....TESLA IS NOT...they keep promoting Powerwall 3 instead. Who are industry leaders now!
It’s too funny that you guys criticize FSD V13 like that. Next time you drive an uber please observe how he drives. I guarantee you that you will have a lot of comments as well.
So, you think funding for childhood cancer research isn't for the public good? Just one example of hundreds in the 1400 page bill that ARE for the public good. Democrats killed the tiny bill because it included raising the public debt limit Trump didn't want happening in his administration since he grew the national debt by 25% in his first four years. Rapid debt rises always happen when massive tax cuts are given the richest among us.
I struggle to understand why you think it’s a good idea to let billionaires govern. Do you really believe they have your best interests at heart? Are you so naive as to think they will create a state that truly serves the people, rather than prioritizing their own wealth and power? History shows that concentrated wealth often leads to policies favoring the elite, leaving ordinary citizens behind. Why trust those whose primary motivation is profit to establish a fair and equitable society?

I love the Henson. A stainless steel version and a portable case with blade storage and mirror would be the only improvements I can think of, but the overall design is clutch. Stainless would be medically more clean, and likely would help rinse the whisker/shave cream build up by being a more slippery surface. The aluminum is slightly porous, so if you have a low to moderate water pressure, it isn't enough to completely rinse the crud out of the shaver so it doesn't clog. I tend to blow into the crud channels to keep them unclogged.
It's always baffled me that none of the tweets are being fact-checked. A lot of the more outlandish claims can be debunked rather easily, and a lot of the time, you can find peer-reviewed studies or experts in the field concretely disagreeing with him.

10:05 I recommend you try +10%, not +40% with V13 on a Model Y. No idea what is best on your CT
I know it was for an advert but I thought you did a great job on that poem. Well Done. 👍
Thank you for including my clip with the cybertruck being towed in Germany.
My daughter loved your reaction to the clip and wishes you all happy holidays.
As a sidenote. I just received information that the truck was likely being transported to the gigafactory in Berlin for trainings and maybe evaluation for the German safety concerns regarding pedestrians (this is just conjecture on my part tho)
Again, thank you and happy holidays
For the record, you CAN run a lightshow while supercharging. While traveling back from the Tesla Xmas lightshow in Moncton NB Canada, a Model 3 next to me at the Aulac Supercharger did perform a lightshow while supercharging. Neither of us knew that was a thing before.
I like Jesse shirt. I just ordered one from Carhartt.
Merry Xmas Gents.
Anyone know why most of the supercharger locations in China are 3 stalls? It seems weird.
you are forgetting that a certain French car manufacturer has major voting rights over Nissan. I have heard nothing in the news of any mention of Renault in these press releases
I believe "IF" you got T-Boned,The Cyber Would WIN! :)
….mergers are so top executives make money , no matter the profits or share price…and the lawyers put them all together so they to not only get paid for mergers, but also when bankruptcy happens…so tons of money still to be made for a couple of years by the insiders , before the eventuality that this cash cow becomes a market ‘play’…where investors keep the companies alive for a while longer by buying and selling stocks until valueless…
Helo Both, Sorry I am a bit late. But Zac was so right years ago when he told us all that old ICE company will merge. Thanks you work in your videos though 2024. I hope you are have a super festive time and have a great 2025.
Got FSD V13.2.2 on my Cybertruck today. It worked flawlessly during my test drive. V13.2.1 was good, but (so far) V13.2.2 is noticeably better.
For what it's worth, the pay increase in that bill for Congress-Critters was more like 3.5%, not 40%.
Doesn't matter. Hiding a pay raise in a bill for supporting hurricane relief victims is scummy. They need to isolate INDIVIDUAL ISSUES and no more omnibuses. A 1500-page bill rushed to vote should be criminal.
I love how people try to sell something shitty as if it's amazing
The lack of smart lane picking in the route planner hurts the performance of FSD, often leading into the wrong lane. Route planning needs an overhaul with precise lane picks.
Is there a chart that covers the rest of California homelessness, or just San Francisco? The article indicates the entire state ($24.5Billion), but the chart covers the San Francisco-covered portion of expenditure (2.6 Billion over 2016-2020 (5-year) period). Apples and Crab-apples (not really oranges), probably both rotten, but there you have it.
38:50 Rivian is behind schedule, pretty much all the way around (Amazon van deliveries, R1 profitability, R2/3 ramp, DC fast charger network, J3400 incorporation). I'd like to see the Rivian board of directors create some performance milestones for RJ Scaringe, and seriously consider organizational changes if not met.
34:01 no, it will not provide power for neighbors if the grid is down, unless the grid is very special.
The bZ4X is equipped with Toyota Safety SenseTM 3.0, which offers cutting-edge capabilities including pre-collision detection and lane tracing assistance. Innovation and safety go hand in hand.
Mass resident. I would have just been on the cusp of beeping at the cybertruck. I agree. Close call.
I was not impressed with my free FSD yesterday. It would not hold the limit I set on the interstate. would not change lanes and stay there to pass when I told it to. Needs work.
I got docked points when taking a CDL driving test for not waiting 2 seconds after a light changed to go.
Hey , my thought was -less vehicles same amount of people…. But it could spread the need out better…. Thanks
Thank you Zack and Jessie for adding fun and smiles to my weeks!
Christmas blessings to you all!!!
Merry Christmas, guys! Exciting time to be a Tesla investor and an American!
Great Show! Merry Christmas Y'all!
Happy holidays yall 😂🎉from Caroline in Colorado💜 👋🏻
Lol, "per Elon". Even though Elon doesn't have a standard of what he says.
What will it take to fix Puerto Rico's problems: Statehood.
Humans run red lights, FSD doesn't. Caution of a second or second and a half are warranted.
Yeah I agree, complaining that it doesn’t drive the way you do is like complaining about the way other ppl drive. Is it safe is what matters most. Ultimately the goal is to be able pay no attention.
Children's cancer research, 9/11 hero legislation, and china tech restrictions were in the bill. Killing the bill was some bond villain level stuff.
Why do they include children cancer research in the same bill. Oh, to make it controversial, knowing the others are likely to be rejected.
@nguyep4 yet Musk has this big voice, he couldn't have asked that those things 'AT LEAST' be included in the new bill? So jaded is this savior of free speech that he can't see clear to at least try to help the kids? He isn't ignorant. He knew it was in there.
@@whitlockbr The "HOUSE REPUBLICANS PASSED $190M FOR
PEDIATRIC CANCER RESEARCH IN MARCH SENATE DEMOCRATS ARE BLOCKING IT"
@whitlockbr They are playing politics using kids and you fell into their trap by blaming others. Rather than the people who did this deliberately. And how would you know nothing is done about it?
@nguyep4 good question 🤔 I wonder if something has or will be done about it
There is another 432 of these? Really?😂
I was also hearing that truckers are saying that semi truck EV’s weight is so much more than diesel semi’s that roads and bridge infrastructure will have to be replaced to accommodate the new trucks. I don’t believe it?
You've been shoved a hot, stinking pile of FUD!
Yes that is FUD!
@
Hey sorry I didn’t get FUD?
The Tesla grid power packs have Chinese batteries in them, correct? Most likely CATL batteries. So, at what point does CATL or whomever, decide to make the packs themselves and underprice the Tesla units? I have for some time questioned the enthusiasm people have for the Tesla grid packs as being a solid business plan, as Tesla does not make the batteries. What am I missing? The Chinese know how to code too.
I have to give this episode a thumbs down. Please stop talking about Elon’s political views.
It's quite frankly disgusting that they don't seem to have any integrity or conscience. I unsubscribed a long time ago and I recommend doing the same especially if you are a Patreon. Supporting somebody who bought an election for a pathologically lying fascist rapist in simply unacceptable.
Agree, they're stretching too hard to make excuses for his abominable tweets/Xs.
@ including this lunatics tweets makes them basically unwatchable. Patreons should really end their support until this part of the show is permanently banned.
Nope
I struggle to understand why you think it’s a good idea to let billionaires govern. Do you really believe they have your best interests at heart? Are you so naive as to think they will create a state that truly serves the people, rather than prioritizing their own wealth and power? History shows that concentrated wealth often leads to policies favoring the elite, leaving ordinary citizens behind. Why trust those whose primary motivation is profit to establish a fair and equitable society?
Is not about being billionaire, is about principle and smart people
@@luismontelongo4148 just watch what their priorities are, they aren't the "people." No, it wouldn't be OK to shut down the government for a month, that's people not getting their paycheck, among other things.
@@luismontelongo4148most of the rich people are smart in at least one area: how to make a lot of money.
They also have the drive to make a lot of money.
If a person like that had the choice between helping people, or making a lot of money, what do you think they would choose?
I have taken for Wamos and let me tell you something Wamo is way mo better. And I know, Wamo is in unlimited locations and Wamo uses high definition maps. I still trust it way mo than I trust FSD.
Cool. Where can I buy a car with Waymo?
I love the Henson. A stainless steel version and a portable case with blade storage and mirror would be the only improvements I can think of, but the overall design is clutch. Stainless would be medically more clean, and likely would help rinse the whisker/shave cream build up by being a more slippery surface. The aluminum is slightly porous, so if you have a low to moderate water pressure, it isn't enough to completely rinse the crud out of the shaver so it doesn't clog. I tend to blow into the crud channels to keep them unclogged.
Are you aware that you’re spreading Elon Musk’s misinformation? 🤦
No, you're just blindly consuming misinformation about Elon Musk and don't have the cognitive ability to have self-awareness.
It's always baffled me that none of the tweets are being fact-checked. A lot of the more outlandish claims can be debunked rather easily, and a lot of the time, you can find peer-reviewed studies or experts in the field concretely disagreeing with him.
@@StratumPressif musk makes a claimed statement of fact within a given field, and experts of that field say he is wrong, who would you say is more likely to be correct?
They don't care. If he says it, it is true.
Love the nickelback haha

19:45 I think it stopped for the car pulling out too
Merry Christmas 🎅 thanks for the $1000.00 off my '25 model 3. Buy yourself some more stock with your half.

ZAK & JAZZY STRIKE AGAIN!!!!
How does FSD handle pot holes
Likely how it works in the Y - hits every one.
After 120k 18m3 groany squeaky turn and bumpty bump. Also charging door failures. $1200 all in so tracking penny a mile repairs, .045 tires. Did replace a turn signal on fogging $450 a while back. Service experience great. Bargain transpo.
You are the gift that keeps on giving. Wonderful show. Laugh of the week was the official crest to the department of government redundancy department 🤣🎄🙏 Lotsa love to all ❤️❤️❤️
Driving in New England is 100X more complicated than here in Phoenix. Wow. Im glad you are doing the test there because doing the test here would mean almost zero.
