Around the 3:40 mark... seeing Su's eyes get watery and glisten with emotions... and then when the light turns red, her stare changed back to a hard-core metal queen. 😁🤘🦊🤘

Great reaction. Legend S Baptism XX were the shows in December 2017 celebrating Su-metal's 20th birthday (so Legend S for Su, XX being Roman numerals for 20).
These concerts were in her home town of Hiroshima. Before this song there was a kamishibai (short video intro) which seemed to reference the Hiroshima bomb and the black acid rain which followed turning the sky black. This is a subject very near to Su's heart as a Hiroshima native.
'No Rain, No Rainbow' was first performed at the Legend 1999 concert in 2013, long before the first album was released. Su wasn't happy with her delivery, she felt she wasn't ready to record the song yet as she was concentrating on getting the lyrics and the notes right, but she felt she didn't have the life experience to really understand and therefore to express what it all meant, so she wasn't happy she was doing the song justice.
As a result the song was not included on the first album - she got her way ... she was still only 15 at that time.
It was only later on when performing the song (possibly at the Budokan in March 2014) Su saw someone in the audience crying and only then did she appreciate her voice could touch people so deeply ... the song was then recorded and included on the 2nd album.
It is a rare song to hear - never played outside of Japan and so far only 7 live performances: Legend 1999 (2013), Budokan Black Night (2014), Tokyo Dome (2016), Legend S (both nights 2017) and two of the 10 Budokan shows in 2021.
It is not just coincidence that in this video as Su sings the line "We shall never meet again, but I want not to forget you for ever" the camera focuses for a moment on Mikio Fujioka (RIP). This was his last performance with BABYMETAL before his tragic accident just 2 or 3 weeks later.
Funny you should mention Guns n Roses and 'November Rain'. These two songs may have the same roots and take inspiration from the same song - 'Endless Rain' by X Japan. That, in turn, was possibly inspired by Prince's 'Purple Rain'.

The vibe and the beat gave me vibes to November rain it's ironic how they connect in another aspect

Great reaction. This song really has an 80's power ballad feel. It reminds me a lot of Heart's Alone (especially the piano at the end). Although there are a few other live performances of this song, this one is the best version in my opinion.
The emotions Su conveys (especially around 3:41 where she seems as though she's just about to start crying) really gets me every time.

She did an excellent job. The way she hit that note from the beginning and in the end it really touched the heart for me

    NO RAIN 🌂 NO RAINBOW 🌈 :-
NO RAIN, NO RAINBOW is a song from BABYMETAL's second original album, METAL RESISTANCE, by SU-METAL. It has the same music structure as Legendary band X Japan 🇯🇵 "Endless Rain" but with a different arrangement. A tear-jerker when listening to "Mikio Fujioka" guitar solo because he's such a phenomenal guitar maestro gone too soon. "The Legend Baptism XX will be 'Mikio Fujioka' last concert with Babymetal before his untimely passing in January 2018".
This is special for Su and Moa especially Su because she got to perform in her hometown of Hiroshima. After the guitar solo, you can hear Su voice wavering as she tried to hide her emotion. Su owns this performance. Her facial expressions and mannerisms coincide with the song. The show at the Nippon Budokan for the 10th Babymetal anniversary is awesome.
    Information:-
    •Artist: BABYMETAL.
    •Album: METAL RESISTANCE.
    •Lyrics: YOSHIFU-METAL, Mk-metal, Nakametal.
    •Composition: Yoshifu-metal.
    •Arrangement: Ledametal.
    NRNR Lyrics:-
    Why can't I sleep
    Why is the night over?
I don't need anything, even tomorrow
    A future without you
    Why were you laughing?
    Why? I was lonely
    Nobody knows it's just
I wanted you to be by my side
    Even despair becomes light
    Even if it keeps raining
    Even despair becomes light
Sad rain casts a rainbow forever
    I can't see you again
    I want to remember
If your dreams continue, don't wake up
    Why were you laughing?
    Why? I was lonely
    Nobody knows it's just
I just wanted to meet you
    Even despair becomes light
    Even if it keeps raining
    Even despair becomes light
    Sad rain casts a rainbow
The unstoppable rain will fill my heart forever
Songwriters: Naka Metal / MK Metal / Yoshifumetal
This performance is very special to Su-Metal because it is performed in Su-Metal hometown of Hiroshima. A su-Metal grandmother is a survivor of "the hibakusha" of the Hiroshima bombings. You can hear Su-Metal voice wavering after the guitar solo. This concert is also without Yui Mizuno "Yuimetal" who withdrew from Babymetal due to a health hiatus and "Mikio Fujioka" last concert before his untimely death on January 5th of 2018 after suffering injuries from an observation deck fall while stargazing.
It is 75 years since the US dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 and 9 August, leading to the end of World War Two.
Those who survived the bombings are known as "hibakusha". Survivors faced horrifying aftermath in the cities, including psychological trauma.
The bombings brought about an abrupt end to the war in Asia, with Japan surrendering unconditionally to the Allies on 14 August 1945.

    Great reaction, thanks.
Yes, really beautiful song and even better live performance. "Legend S - Baptism XX" were very special two in a row concerts in Hiroshima, Su's hometown, to celebrate her 20th birthday on December 2017.
This was the first time they performed without Yui and the last time Mikio (Kami Band's lead guitarist who played the solo in this video) performed with BABYMETAL (as he untimely passed away few days later due the injuries caused by an unfortunate accident while stargazing). So all these emotions are added to the already sad lyrics.
The song is a tribute to X-Japan's "Endless Rain" and debuted back in 2013 but Su (being just 15 at the time) wasn't happy with her performance because she was more focused on hitting the correct notes rather than expressing the emotions flowing from the lyrics. To the point they didn't include it on their first album in 2014 and only played it three times till this concert date in December 2017. And she finally killed it!
The production of the Blu-ray was made right after Mikio's decease, so they decided to focus on him as Su sings "Nidoto ae-nai kedo wasure-naide itai yo. Yume ga tsuzuku nara same-naide." (We shall never meet again, but I want not to forget you forever. If the dream continues, I wish I'll never wake up from it.) .
Needless to say that this song and particular version moves me deeply.
    🤘🦊

This song hits on so many levels. I know that he's watching and amazed at how far she has grown and I'm glad to see her bring this out. This was absolutely a treasure to witness and a true homage to their fallen friend

And this song was written at a time when Japan was still mourning the loss of so many people in a massive earthquake and tsunami.
The lyrics, "Even despair becomes light, and the rain that never stops brings rainbows," are a gentle song as if to accompany the victims who endured the cold rain and sad farewells to their loved ones in the 2011 Great East Japan

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 We are moved by this song because we are human beings. I am Japanese but my nationality and literacy do not have distinct advantages to feel the emotion stirred by Su-Metal and Kamis. Su's voice and Kami's guitar sound resonate with the bones in my whole body.
This was filmed in 2017 and BM revived this song in the last two shows of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan in 2021 with Su's more matured voice. As an eyewitness of those shows at the venue, I can tell you that it was literally heartbreaking and made me forget to breathe. This 2017 version, however, may be still the best for me although BM always say "the latest is the best". It may be so because of the last appearance of Mikio (RIP) with Su. 😢
