That was a nice video. As you state, this little one is not nearly as full sounding as the larger drum but it would be a great alternative for someone on a tight budget.

My friend I would love to have that. I'm a musician myself I'm a Drummer/Percussionist and I'm planning on to do a relaxation rhythm wilderness and ocean rhythm and that ocean drum is the next drum is on my list now. Thank you my friend 💜💜💜👍👍👍👍👍👍

How does it sound when you play it like a regular hand drum? Although I enjoyed your video, I wish you would have tapped on it a bit.

@Musical Molly Khan - Hello :) I really like this thing. It reminds me more so of a White Water Rapids style flowing River. The other thing I thought of was a Dam Opening and releasing flow of water. How the sound slowed down when You stopped reminded me of the sound of the Dam closing up again and the water flow then stops. It's a cool little instrument for 20 and change. Very good for meditation.

@@MusicalMollyKhan How about making one out of a Barrel Hoop - and using a Tom Tom head or a Bass Drum Head . Mount the large Drum on a Gimbal and attach to a pedestal base ? Bet that would be awesome.

Can this drum also be played like a frame drum?
Some apparently sound more realistic than one your demonstrating. These look to be something used in the Sound Effects studio's of old. Maybe old Chinese movies.

Ocean sound?? im a islander from Atlantic Ocean, there is zero resemblance, ocean sound is so diversified, at night with rumble of crashing into rocks one goes to sleep like a baby, one of major factors for not living in land lock city is missing the sound and smell of Ocean 24/7, truly omniscient in one psyche.
Thank you for your experience! I have never lived by the ocean so unfortunately mine is limited. I'm sure if there was an instrument designed to imitate the sounds of the prairie I would find it inadequate too :D
