They are adorable and full of personality. My BS loves sitting on my lap and is very affectionate. He’s a funny guy who often has sudden outbursts of energy. Most of the time he is super lazy.

Had many cats over the years. The last cat of my life was a grey brit shorthair from the shelter. (they did not know what it was!)
Best cat of our whole life! So sad to lose her to kidney failure at about 18.
I have one lilac point since her three months, will be two on August 23. Adorable, loves to be cuddled when SHE wishes. Never came on my laps, but there is no doubt she loves me ❤️She tends to love eating her dry food too much, so I weigh her daily food.
She does not play as much as before, but loves running after a big macaroni because it makes noise.
No regrets ever, living alone with Ruby makes my life so much brighter 🥰

Got a BS when she was 10 weeks old and now she’s nearly 5 years old. She loves to sit on my lap and follows me around the home and being picked up. Most of the time she’s quiet but can be vocal when she wants attention from me. She gets on well with my other ragdoll cat who grew up together and is the boss in the house. My bs cat is very loving, cuddly and very friendly with anyone and I just love her to bits. 😍🥰

I have two. Neither wants to sit on my lap, but they both love being caressed. Oh yea, and i haven't had a sit on the toilet by myself since i got them. And my male cat is okay with being picked up. My female one is a lady, she not so much.
My BSH is now 5 years old. I would agree with 90% of your assessment, but Ollie is a very cuddly cat, who wants to be picked up to shoulder level, and will jump up, and sit on my lap for an hour at a time.. perhaps this is nurture over nature. Also, if I only brushed him once or twice a week, I would sweep up a pillow case of fur over a month. He is fine combed almost daily and slicker brushed at same time. He is a gorgeous boy, very loving , and ( almost) lead trained. Great video, but all cats have their own personality, and they will all be " normal " depending on nurturing.❤ BTW.. don't leave linen closets, laundry or Vanity cupboards, wardrobes open, or you will spend 20 minutes looking for them, and miss appointments often ..lol
I can’t wait to get one of these little beauties ~ they sound just like me, they don’t mind a bit of company but they value their own space and like to be left alone for the most part. I can’t wait ❤

Everything in this video is explained spot on. My BSH does not like to be picked up but will happily sit a few feet away from me. One thing I would like to add is that they are very quiet and move stealthily never once has my cat knocked over anything so It would be advisable to put a collar with a bell if you live in a large apartment or house.
Mine was a runt and he can't go two seconds without breaking something lol
@@justacold9381 Lol sorry to hear that, it could be he is acting out cuz of a lack of attention. Play with your cat with an interactive toy as much as possible and also neuter if u haven't done so.

I have a British Shorthair and he is the sweetest little furball, I love him so much. I know that this breed of cat does not like to be carried but my cat Autumn J has grown used to me picking him up. I never used to be a cat lover because I grew up with dogs, but now I think I become a cat woman lover. Unfortunately, Autumn J is a bit on the heavy side and my vet had suggested putting him on a diet, in the last 6 months he has lost 5oo grammes. I am trying to get his weight down to 7 kg, wish me luck.
After my Russian blue the best cat I've ever had crossed rainbow bridge due to cancer after living ger best life for 13 years in getting bs kitten tomorrow. Kinda nervous, it was difficult to see my cat to be sick and these ones often have kidney and heart health issues. I hope everything will be fine
I always wanted one. I have a Main Coon right now..18 yrs now and my short Siamese 15 yrs. As I age the worse the cat allergy becomes so when Lion King passes that is it. I missed my opportunity for a short hair.

i have a Golden Brit but in the first pics of your video you showed a Scottish Fold 🙀 and not a British shorthair .Scottish Fold is a prohibited breed in some countries due to health problems.Greets!

I don't know if this is gingivitis , because of his new teeth are growing
My boy has lost most of his teeth from gum disease. Still has a few, but has retained his distinctive FANGS..
