I’m with Myles, Keystone just makes a better product. The fact they’ve gone to on demand water heaters across their line beats all competitors as far as I see. This is a nice design, no question, but that one thing makes it a non-starter for me. Thanks for all you do Myles!
Myles, I love the floor plan of this so much because of the amount of seating space for a larger family. Are there any other similar floor plan models out there that might be a step up in quality than this?
Grand design is one of the highest quality RV manufactures in the USA. I am not saying they are the best, but the fit and finish of a GD is very much greater than most RV manufacturers out there. Hope that helps.
Myles, Grand Design bolts the steel tie downs in the garage because the frame is aluminum. Can't weld steel to aluminum, and I wouldn't trust an aluminum tie down. If you break those bolts, you did it wrong. They work great! We have never had one fail. If they made the frame out of steel, It would weighs too much and we wouldn't be able to take our samurai with us as it would exceed the capacity of the garage. Just one of the reasons we buy Grand Design and not one of the cheaper brands.
I appreciate that comment and insight! I’ll look deeper into this! I just know that I have seen pictures of screwed to the floor tie downs ripped out of the floor on Facebook groups I am in. However, it was not a Momentum product I saw where this had happened.
@@mylesrv In some older toyhaulers we've had they were just screwed through the floor. GD bolts them to the frame. Also, because of your videos of this floor plan we will most likely be looking to buy a 395MS this summer. We have the 399TH now and love it, but I think the 395 just might suit us better. Hmmm that sofa by the dinette table would take that out make storage area and washer dryer combo dont see the need for the third couch or put the washer and dryer in garage area overall nice but odd layout to me nice patio area liked the bathrooms
Residential better and possibly cheaper to replace if nessary understanding that it will be a 120v system but modern technology has managed to reduce power comsumption
Nice toy hauler but there’s a lot of stupidity in the design who would put the vacuum all the way to the back of the only small storage unit in the belly that’s ridiculous so every time you need to empty out the vacuum you got to empty out your storage, also the king/queen bed upfront over the pin box it’s so close to the wall on one side you can’t even walk around the bed these are deal breakers for me. Bed up against the wall is absolutely poor design.

Steel tie downs, aluminum frame. Can't weld those together. I have a 2023 Polaris Razor that weighs just over 2,000 lbs. and I take mine in the MT mountains many many times and it never moves nor have I ever snapped a tie down bracket.
Myles what is the average price? My husband and I are in the market to buy an RV next summer and we plan to live in it. We’re not gonna travel but we wanna park it in an RV community and live in it for the next couple years and get out of this rent loop that we’re in. We’re paying like $2100 a month in rent and I want to put that towards a house payment. I was just wondering if you knew the price on that average price.
The average price of a toy hauler this size is about $130k-$140k for a 2023 model as of me posting this. But the prices could be entirely different come next summer
On the outside its beautiful. Once you own it.. it becomes a nightmare. Customer service is rude and hangs up on you. The 3 season patio is actually a no season patio. Finger gaps all the way around allows water, wind and bugs in EASILY. Grand design does not stand behind their rigs. 30 days after I bought a 2023 and they refuse to fix anything. I'm selling and going to brinkley
Brinkley is a fine product, but you'll be very sad to hear that they are not spread throughout the country like Grand Design, Keystone, Heartland...etc. So when something goes wrong, you'll be limited on parts and who can work on it. I have had nothing but great success with my GD dealer.
@@TeeCamp10 you're fortunate. As we speak GD refuses to honor any warranty concerns. There is a very largo group of us. Still trying to figure out why GD will work with some customers and ignore the rest. We travel all over the country so looking for a brinkley or even a Luxe dealer won't be much concern. Shoot I might just sell all of it and buy a tiffin lol

Do you know if it’s a stackable washer dryer prep or just the single hybrid w/d?

The utilities should have right angel connection to reduce strain at connection electric and supply water
Would like to see a auto skirting system

Does grand design do convection microwaves?
Yes. Every GD we have bought they came standard. They were also the largest we have ever seen in a camper.
Couch Cushions look cheap but I like it other wise
Very tight by fridge and outside storage is awful !!! Almost unusable. Why not center bed for access both sides ???
